2024 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo - Racing Hard at the Nürburgring! LOUD Twin-Turbo V8!

Did not know I was gonna be filming this brand new beauty when I set off for the Nürburgring 24h qualifying weekend. What an incredible looking and sounding car. I personally thought the previous version was the best looking GT3 car but this 2024 EVO just has infinitely more raw aggression about it with its much, much wider and more radical bodywork.
Surprisingly, this Vantage was the loudest of all the GT3 cars which - before seeing it in the flesh - I had never expected from turbocharged V8. It managed to render the Merc's naturally aspirated 6.2L engines almost inaudible when coming past together. Then there's also the badass exhaust overrun and pops and bangs adding to the deep grunt of the 4.0L crossplane V8.
Power output is said to be 535hp but I think this is purely because of BoP, as the engine configuration should be able to pump out 600hp with ease. For the relatively small, turbocharged engine, torque is at an impressive 700Nm.

Loud is a bit of a stretch. If you ever witnessed the old V12 GT3 or the original Vantage GTE, you know how good it could be. Turbos just destroy all enjoyment of race engine noise.

The thing with the turbocharged cars is that the sheer volume doesn’t really come across on camera. In real life the car was very loud, dwarfing the other cars, even the naturally aspirated V8’s and V10’s. Of course your examples are louder (I have experienced similar cars and indeed they require some serious ear protection), but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this car was still really rather (surprisingly) loud in the flesh

@@AlwinSV That is very true for any race car in my experience, both sound and speed is impossible to capture 😄I'm looking forward to hearing this car at Le Mans this summer, it really looks good (minus the wide square hips)

Haha I think the aggressive aero additions look really cool although yes, the lines in the rear are now a little squared off. And nice! I hope you’ll enjoy seeing the cars and I wonder how you’ll rate the sound having heard it in the flesh :)
