What parent lets a 9-year-old fly 23 HOURS alone? Sure, she was probably in the care of a flight attendant, but they don't keep that close of an eye on kids.
The parents are to blame as well.
I'd bet that the child had issues the parents couldn't deal with and thought sending her away for a few weeks might be a good thing.
That poor child is also morbidly obese.WHY?

So, i would be sent to visit family for the summer holidays and i had spent time with my aunties, uncles and grandma. My grandmother is (she still alive the old battle axe!) a fervently religious catholic and i was forced to beg for forgiveness by praying on my knees all night for a minor infraction. She was the meanest, most manipulative woman whose love of God aced everything else. My uncle who was at the time a 40 year old virgin who would never leave his mothers side also had the same crazy views and in the end i took a flight home by myself when i was about 10. Oh my word, Miss Dawn!! 😭😡 I am so sorry and disgusted by your story.
My love for the Lord and my family would never involve anything of the sort of memories you've experienced. Those holidays could have been so meaningful and wonderful, and look what they've done. 😳😭😡💔
I do have to mention, I laughed aloud when you referred to her as the ole battle axe! 😳😳😳😂🤣😂🤣😂🥰 You keep your head up! You keep those memories in check knowing that NO CHILD could warrant the need to kneal and pray... er, plead for forgiveness. So infuriating!!

If they truly knew who God was they would have never behaved this way. This is the work of the devil. They loved the devil not God. Forcing a person to get on there knees and beg for forgiveness is NOT in the bible. This is disgusting how people use God as a weapon when they aren't actually living as commanded in the bible. If they were they would be living love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
I have been tortured, abused mentally and physically and using God as a weapon to control. It's now 2021 and I don't need to associate with these people. Now as an adult can move forward.

That's his family, the mom didn't even know them. Sorry, she should never go by herself 20+ hours away, for an extended stay. At the very least you go and stay to see where you are leaving your child. Look these people in the eyes. Why let her stay so long? People are hospitable until you wear out your welcome, especially if they weren't sending money. That doesn't mean she should expect her child to be abused, but that's when the special treatment disappears. She didn't have any idea what that meant for her daughter, because she didn't know these people. Why leave your child to deal with that all alone, where it takes almost a full day to get to her? Her husband knew these people were capable of some of those things. They raised him. You don't go from angelic, to demon time like that. COVID happened during the school year. Why did it take do long to call the FBI? Some of this is questionable, but I’m so glad she's home.

The police came themselves and they made the father pay fine and they came to Africa and took the kid back to America
It was so interesting the kid was just staying with relatives and was very fine but America said it never abandons their own and interesting enough the kid is black

@nala I flew by myself to Italy when I was 10 to stay with my aunt and uncle for 2 months. It's not that big of a deal, plenty of people there to assist. The issue wasn't flying there, the issue was the family. Even if someone went there with her, and later left (because it's her grandmother, why would they think someone else needs to be there), the abuse would have still occurred.
