Moog city 1 represents how the game was back in 2011: simple and beautiful, like a new beginning.
Moog city 2 represents the game now after such a long time: much deeper and more complex, so different yet just as beautiful as it was before.

Moog city 2 is the Minecraft music I have the most memories tied to. It’s, it’s beautiful, I remember the old meats that had black outlines, I remember my first ocean monument, I remember it all. The music makes Minecraft truly special and yet it’s hard to keep playing whenever they play because it makes me cry. The only other song like this is Mice on Venus.

Moog City has the hype right at the beginning, then the song goes slower and slower, has more emotional, nostalgic, more sad and it's deep, the string at 1:46 is pretty intense
For Moog City 2, it sounds more "bright", it's faster than the Moog City, the piano at 3:42 hits me hard, the piano is more calm than Moog City
that piano hits everyone's nostalgia

Moog City 2 always reminds me of that moment when it was vacation, it was very warm, friends would always go outside to play, or came to play Minecraft in my house, because everyone had time, no one knew the "Open To Lan" option, so we played Minecraft on one computer and it was always survival mode. When we turned on Minecraft, the music in the menu was almost always playing, which I remember very well to this day. I wish I could relive it or go back in time, everything was normal back then.

Moog city 2: The lander has a soft touch, as you disembark you lay your eyes on the mountainous landscape filled with lush vegetation, towering beasts feasting on the high strung leaves, whilst the alien insects scatter around your thick boots. The atmosphere is rush with oxygen, and you realize you are the first human being to lay your watering eyes on alien life. Almost 20 years in cryostasis, and with the building thought you won’t return home to see your kids grow up. The view, the smell, the feeling. Everything is new, and yet it is still just as beautiful as home, still as beautiful as the Earth.

moog city 1 reminds me of the world generation and spawning in the world you have just begun after learning the basics. moog city 2 makes me think of how you started the game as a beginner and now you are a pro. speciffically at 3:42 is when you kill the ender dragon for the very first time as you see the xp fall down and watch the dragon die in an explosion. so yeah thanks for reading

Moog City is chill and slow, kinda good for people who like the peaceful world.
Moog City 2 is for people who like something fast and epic, good for intro start, ending with a piano hit.
In my opinion, I prefer Moog City 2.
I prefer Moog City 1 over 2, I like it's more energetic and I like the contrast of the main riff constantly building upwards while the whole song is slowly going downward.
I have no idea how to explain it besides that, they're still both great

There were not many tutorials and people talked about snapshots, you will discover everything in time,
An almost eternal world with novelties the more you explore, in those times additionally the night was terrifying
Nowadays you know everything, the night is easy, getting resources is not so difficult, you do not feel mystery, nor fear is just another game of survival. I miss the glow time of minecraft

I think it's cause it sounds like it continues off of the first moog city, if you listen closely.
moog city: you are a kid. it's your first time playing minecraft. you create a new world. your first world ever. you are so excited to play it. you craft things, build your house, battle monsters... you even adopt a dog. you love it. you start creating more and more worlds, and you start waking up early to play more minecraft.
moog city 2: you grew up. you remember your first world in minecraft and decide to visit it. you spawn in your house to see your dog. he was waiting for you. you go out and see all the buildings you made, all the trees you broke, all the caves you've mined... you are filled with nostalgia. you decide to visit the other worlds you made in that time, and you realize that you weren't just creating worlds.

I find it interesting how urgent the original makes the piano section sound, yet in the second one, the rest of the song practically stops so the piano can play it’s nice little tune
Moog city 1.0: climbing a mountain and searching your new adventure and in the end its only the start of the real adventure
Moog city feels like the start of your journey in minecraft, where you and your friends just got the game and make a world together but Moog city 2 is the ending of those relationships and you reminiscing on those ild memories and realizing just how much everything has changed
3:58 makes me think about a leakage in a water tank, then it gets slapped shut by a flex tape, until it falls off, and the water falls out. Then at 4:23, another piece of flex tape gets slapped onto the leakage right before a big gush of water starts.

At 3:28, you can hear the uplifting sound that Moog City 1 uses at 0:47, just qucker and more faint. And the whoops that are heard from 0:47 in the background, are the ones used for the start of Moog City 2

Im sad. I forgot to download the music pack in the pe store when i got minecraft 5 years ago. I only downloaded 3 months ago and i realized i’ve missed so much. The music somehow still feels nostalgic, every song i feel like i’ve heard hundreds of times, when i know i didnt have the music before.
do yall remember hearing this shit when you loaded up one of those map templates on the old console editions, the thing is im pretty sure all of those preset maps like toy story and original music in them
I myself prefer Moog City 1, because it progresses throughout the song, and I think it's more emotional. It starts off pretty casual and upbeat, but then it builds up to feel really inspiring and epic, and it keeps on building up more and more to be very epic. Then suddenly, the resolve comes, and you have a short sad and nostalgic and dark moment. Then it tries to build up again, but it fails to build up much anymore, and soon it fades out to silence.
The buildup makes you think of the epic builds you make in Minecraft, the huge distances you travel, all those amazing feats _you've_ accomplished. Then the resolve reminds you of how alone you are in Minecraft, of the fact that, whatever you do, you're a lonely god in this world, and you can do almost anything, yet you have nobody to share it with. And at the end you try to focus on the epic accomplishments again, but you just can't, you can't bring yourself to ignore how truly alone you are, and the song fades off to the lonely silence that persists for way longer than any song in the game.
Moog City 2 on the other hand feels more ambient and still, and it doesn't really feel like it's progressing much. It feels like you aren't accomplishing anything, and nothing is happening to you.
