It funny how nearly a whole generation grew up playing this game. To others, it may seem silly of how we cry whenever we hear the songs playing from it. But to us, it reminds us of the good days. It almost seems as if we have all grown up to quickly, and this is the only thing that we remember playing from our 'child hood'. Thanks Mojang, for everything.
I've actually been the same age as Minecraft
And I was playing in 2012 or 2013
Fr, im actually surprised that I cried because of this all the memories just hit me right in the feels
Man I feel rlly sorry for the kids of the newer generation they r never going to experience wat we did
Yes 🥺

why does every sweden video have this same exact comment
@@Cause023 ikr lmao
yes
Every video with nostalgic music has this quote and ,,We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun." - Winnie the Pooh (Damn I searched for the quote to know if I've written it correctly and damn does Winnie the Pooh has some nice quote's.)
Fav quote cuz it's true.
We played, we tried
We laughed, we cried
We succeeded, we died
We respawned and thrived
From the zombies, to the endermen
From the skeletons, to the pigmen
From the spiders and creepers
And from those annoying griefers
From the biome of jungle to sands
To the mushrooms and other obscure lands
From the snow and ice
To the swamps which never looked too nice
From the moments with friends we’ll cherish
From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish
From the great animations
To the UA-cam sensations
Along with those musical incantations
I thank Mojang for creating my childhood
Much better than just ‘good’
I think I speak for everyone here
When I say this is not game of the year
It’s the game of the century
As it offered us plenty
And these memories will never leave
Just like the thought of first playing as Steve
So I say close your eyes
And listen to the music with surprise
As your memories of Minecraft where once apart
But now can be fixed like a broken heart
In order to find your memories core
You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more
And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time
As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime
One last thing, for me to say
Which would be, have a nice day
Also for you to never forget this game
Nor the journey that came
As apart of that journey was the end
Quite literally, not pretend
Just like this poem, which I hope you all read
As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead.
This isn’t mine but wanted to spread these beautiful words
It'll be remembered through generations.
Thank You Bro For That Speech
And Thank You Minecraft For Creating Our Childhood
Beautiful
And one day, you realise that C418 is one of the best musicians.
Agreed
Microsoft is greedy, Notch is now half depressed, Jeb is carrying all and still he doesn't have that much to do, as Microsoft now makes the moves. It's not an indie cute game anymore, it's just profitable software.

very boring coming from someone who didn't play minecraft growing up. i'm seeing all these people getting nostalgic over their experiences and the whole game is amazing. i've played a few times but i'm not very good. i wish i'd played it when i was younger but oh well.

We all started from a block, we were too young to play seriously so we went to the villages to destroy everything, when we grew up we started playing on multiplayer servers: Hunger Games, Bedwars, creative, buildbattle.. We stayed in front of the computer all day in those hot August months where the only worry was not to die of boring. Complaints from our parents telling us we needed to hang out more, but we had our friends on discord that we met online. Now we have grown up, we no longer have time to play, we think about our future, work, girlfriend and grades at school. Yet before I go to sleep I sit on the bed and still think about that creeper who destroyed my house..
(sorry for my english, I'm Italian)
It is fine 😢 my English bad too

And we stay love Minecraft

“Y/N?”
“Yes. Take care. It has reached a higher level now. It can read our thoughts.”
“that doesn’t matter, it thinks we are part of the game.”
“I like this player, it played well, it did not give up.”
“It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a screen.”
“That is how it chooses to imagine many things, when it is deep in the dream of a game.”
“Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen.”
“They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players, witches and warlocks. And players dreamed, they flew through the air, on sticks powered by demons.”
“What did this player dream?”
“This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of Fire and Water. It dreamed and created. It dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.”
“Hah, the original interface. A million years old, and it still works. But what true structure did this player create, in the reality behind the screen?”
“It worked, with a million others, to sculpt a true world in a fold of the [scrambled], and created a [scrambled] for [scrambled] in the [scrambled].”
“It cannot read that thought.”
…
“No. It has not yet achieved the highest level. That, it must achieve in the long dream of life, not the short dream of a game.”
“Does it know that we love it? That the universe is kind?”
“Sometimes, through the noise of its thoughts, it hears the universe, yes.
But there are times it is sad, in the long dream. It creates a worlds that have no summer, and it shivers under a black sun, and it takes it’s sad creation for reality.
To cure its sorrow would destroy it. The sorrow is part of its own private task. We cannot interfere.”
“Sometimes when they are deep in their dreams, I want to tell them, they are building true worlds of reality, and their importance to the universe. Sometimes, when they have not made a true connection in a while, I want to help them speak the word they fear.”
“It reads our thoughts.”
“Sometimes I do not care. Sometimes I wish to tell them, this world you take for truth is merely [scrambled] and [scrambled]. They see so little of reality, in their long dream.”
“And yet they play the game”
“But it would be so easy to tell them.”
“Too strong for this dream z to tell them how to live is to prevent them from living.”
“I will not tell the player how to live”
“The player is growing restless.”
“I will tell the player a story”
“But not the truth”
“No. A story that contains the truth safely, in a cage of words. Not the naked truth that can burn over any distance.”
“Give it a body again.”
“Shush… sometimes the player reads lines of code on a screen. Decoded them into words; words into meaning; meaning into feelings emotions, theories, ideas, and the player started to breathe faster and deeper and it realized it was alive, it was alive, those thousand deaths had not been real, the player was alive.
And sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the light that fell from the crisp night sky of winter, where a fleck of light in the corner of the player's eye might be a star a million times as massive as the sun, boiling its planets to plasma in order to be visible for a moment to the player, walking home at the far side of the universe, suddenly smelling food, almost at the familiar door, about to dream again.
And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love.
You are the player. WAKE UP.
Wow
Jusus

Nostalgia is the feeling
You don't need to.
No one can, it’s pure nostalgia
You know, nostalgia is a bittersweet feeling. You get to reminisce on good memories you had, and it’s nice. You remember how much fun you used to have, and how happy you were. Yet, at some point you stopped doing these things, or at least it changed. You’ve grown up. You’ve gotten older. You no longer get to feel or witness those experiences again. And even if you could, it isn’t the same. Nostalgia is bittersweet for these reasons.
but yet growing up isn't completely bad. as one door closes another one opens. and maybe you can make some memories as good as the old ones... i believe you can! :3
I like how we all, as a fandom, feel the same way when we hear the old soundtrack. Makes me realize that even if it’s just something small and “insignificant,” I’m not alone in the world when it comes to something :] you guys were and are my first home outside of my house, even if I don’t know you.

Steadily once a month I listen to soundtracks from minecraft, it evokes pleasant nostalgia for the time when I was so carefree, when I didn’t think about tomorrow but only about today, I remember not the time when I learned about minecraft, but what I was like when it happened
Previously, I listened to certain tracks past my ears, but now I realized that they somehow got stuck in my head and stuck tightly like a click into the past for a couple of minutes. Goosebumps, childhood and so many good memories.Minecraft is a masterpiece and a legend.
listening to this makes me smile, yet it still brings me tears. I still play Minecraft even if my parents and friends make fun of me, none of that matters to me. all the maters is that I'm still having fun and enjoying a great game. Remember all the fun times you had when you were younger, remember playing split screen at your friends house and finding diamonds for the first time thinking you owned the world. Remember trying to build huge cities and castles but never finished, remember all the adventures you would go on with friends. and what about the secret bases that you would make even though you knew you couldn't play with anyone. remember all the late night sleep overs and you all played Minecraft and got scared at the sounds in the caves and mobs jumped scared all of you. Just remember even though you can't go back, be happy that it happened and that you smiled and laughed, remember that you had fun and didn't have a care in the world. remember playing the mini games, and having a blast. Just because people, maybe even your own parents might make fun of you doesn't mean you should stop, if you truly love something keep going and have fun. go and open your old Minecraft worlds if you can. Keep having fun. go play Minecraft and make new memories, they might not be as impacting as the old ones but still, go have fun, make new ones build that city that you always wanted to build. let this music bring back the memories, the good times and write them down so you can go back later and read it and have a laugh.
I'm 13 and yes people make fun of me for playing Minecraft but who cares, I know that everyone reading this can agree. Minecraft is a true masterpiece, and shall never be forgotten. go play Minecraft when your sad, go play with friends, or just watch the sun set with your dog. Go rewatch all you favorite Minecraft videos, tear up and relax, remember the good days. Minecraft is for everyone if someone treats you bad for it, don't listen to them keep playing the game you love, the game that made you happy, that game that made you smile when you had a bad day. I might not be that old to be wise and remember things from the old Minecraft and all but I do know one thing for sure, and it's that we used to get annoyed at the music and fight over the diamonds, we made army's of dogs and watched all our favorite UA-camrs play adventure maps and could not wait for the next episode. I want all of you to remember one thing, and that one thing is ,that no matter what happens in life stay focused on your dreams and never let anyone push you down, keep driving forward and persevere through tough times, and if you need a break go play Minecraft.
Thank you for taking your time and reading this I really appreciate it, now what are you waiting for. Go have fun, Go Play Minecraft!

man… reminds me of how long my brother and i spent on our world, how many dogs i had, how sad i got whenever they died. The good memories i have from those times… i’m not sure i’ll ever get a simple joy like that any time soon, if ever. I know it sounds kinda dumb talking about a videogame like it’s a person or a place, but this was my childhood. staying up “late” on summer nights playing with my friends and brothers, making stupid jokes and stupider builds. Don’t let the thought of never being able to go back stop you from being able to pursue your dreams yesterday was yesterday and you did what you had too there’s always a tomorrow to make things right and grow and help others the past shaped us who we are hopefully into better people it’s important to never forget where we came from but also appreciate where were going
Dont blame it on yourself , i fucked up once too ended a 3 year long friendship in a single day . . . But after half a year i realised it wasnt a good one , my opinions were never heard.

But you can make new memories. That's the best part of life.
Makes me mad cause i had the very first tutorial world ever saved on my xbox360 and wanted to keep it forever but i sold my 360 and now ill never get that world back😔 hear the original sound track for Minecraft always floods my memories with my old words i use to have
I sit at my desk, put on headphones and let my heart sink into this, calm minecraft moments like this are engraved into your memory and that’s when you know life isn’t too long, sit down, hop on Minecraft, and take it slow
This is what you heard while building your house on single player in the summer of 2013, late at night after your parents had gone to bed. The window is open and you dont know it yet but youre living out one of your favorite memories. Youll look back on this fondly and with a bitter sense of nostalgia in years to come as things start getting worse and worse and you wish you could be that kid again, 12 years old and oblivious, playing minecraft on a warm, rainy summer night.
Damn, You gave me an inspiration thanks.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It was the life 😞
Still livin' the live man, but it will be over in like second and then i would wish to be 12 again 😭
Like right now 😢
Wow
Stop making me cry no cap I'm getting really sad now
I’m going on a little rant but still idc. These songs remind me of the warm summer nights I’d be playing on my Xbox 360 and not think about how in 8 years time I’ll be such a different person. The old me not even knowing they were making such good memories. This game is what made me, it feels like home.
Literaly have a grin and tears on my face rn
Same bro those summer nights playing minecraft on the xbox 360 were god tier
Dude are we from the same mom?

I will just say this. The current musicians have made some great pieces of music, it is true. But not as good as C418's. He was the original music maker for this game. And no-one else can say that. It's his music I love the MOST. Above all others.
I was born in 2011 and i still started crying when i heard this it just brings back all the best memories even from things thats not minecraft and if you feel sad or start crying just know we atleast had a good time and that will last forever and just listening to this is nostalgic

When i was younger i had a dog her name was ara she was there my whole life acting like a 3rd parent when she got older she had to stay at my grandparents because we were in the center of the city and couldnt take her for walks, but we would still visit quite frequently. A few years back my mom rushed into my room crying and she told me that Ara died of old age(she was 16 and a half years of age), I was devastated i cried for what felt like four whole days, and today i still remember her and when im feeling down i visit my old minecraft world where i have a dog named ara and reminess that if she were here she would push me and force me to keep going and not give up. I tear up every time i listen to the minecraft ots, thank you C418 and Notch for the great memories that i will never forget.

Ah yes, the game that brings us back to when we thought everything was normal and nothing could go wrong. The days when multiplayer wasn’t a thing so you and your friends would try to find each other on completely different maps. The days when you would bug your dad to play it with and get irritated when he asked how the controls worked every time. The days when we used to watch people make buildings and use mods but now they are just a figment of our nostalgic journey. Thank you Minecraft for making our childhoods become actual childhoods and let us be kids when times where rough.

I actually wasn't with it that long (sense 2017 maybe) and totally relate. Bc I recently graduated, I'm getting very emotional when remembering highlights like Minecraft. It made my short childhood that much sweeter.

Wow... We lived a similar childhood.
Hey I'm turning 13 on friday!
same shit right here, i used to ove it so much as a kid, now i just turn it off :(.
what hurts most is remembering how i’d sit in a dark room at my grandparents house playing minecraft. man it was so peaceful then-
I remember my brothers and I fighting all the time when we were kids. And as soon as my brothers wanted to break the argument they would say "Hey, wanna watch us play minecraft?" My eyes would go big and say yes. We would be in a hot room in the summer for hours and hours and not care. When it was dinner time, my mom would yell to get us to come downstairs stairs to eat. Minecreaft was our safe haven whenever we were fighting or our parents fighting. What an amazing game and music track this was. Truly👏👏
Me too man
I remember playing with my phones with my friends and playing "fair" PVP little did they know I was using commands and they didn't know what commands are at the time the good old days

@@roelzapata00 Yeah the good days
these songs are so bittersweet. it reminds me of a simpler time when i would sit on the couch with my parents and brother and just chill and play minecraft. we laughed, messed around, built towns, and worked towards our own goals. i took all of it for granted, and now those are the best memories i could ask for. i cant ever go back. i wish i could. i wish i could go back in time to relive that life.
but now, the only song i know how to play on piano is subwoofer lullaby.
Me and my little brother and I have always loved Minecraft. He grew up with the newer players, and i grew up with the older ones. But we still can rant and ramble about it.
I dont think he realizes that it's one of the only things we can bond over, especially if one of us dies before the other. It's a thing we shared for years.
I dont think i can believe that I've spent my whole life loving a silly, little block game. 11 years, and im still going strong. It's honestly weird to think that i stumbled onto Stampy maybe 11 years ago or so and watched as it ended. It's a weird feeling, and after a while, that feeling turns to peace.
My favorite song from Minecraft is Mice on Venus. I don't truly know why, maybe i like how it sounds? I do think that it represents how we all grew up. A steady pace that ends in the middle with a small blink to realize that we have been through just a small portion of life that will be remembered by only us. Only the mind can remember things that are important, and Minecraft is one of those things. We've laughed, cried, screamed probably, all over a silly little game that probably will grow old and die out slowly. But to the people who have grown up with it, it's more like someone helped to raise us if our parents didn't give enough attention or any attention at all. So many youtubers spent time from their day to make videos of a block game, and that helped to raise so many in just 15 years alone.
I hope we can all see each other in another 15 and remember all the fun times this game and community brought.
-Alex, on the 10th of May, 2024
The sentimentality behind Minecraft's soundtrack is hard to explain, especially to younger people who have never played Minecraft. And quite frankly I don't think that it is explainable. I think if you played Minecraft when you were younger, it's almost like returning to an old house with a familiar smell. But, back then, you didn't notice the smell (or the music in this case.) However, when you come back to it, you're taken back to that time that you remember as being the most worry-free time of your life. Yeah, maybe it is "just a block game" and sure, maybe you feel silly for crying at it, but It's not the game that made it so amazing, perhaps not even the music- but it's the memories that you made that made it so enjoyable. That's what gives this soundtrack it's originality, nostalgia, and tear-jerking factor.
It feels like home.
Everytime i hear those music, i feel like... empty. It's really hard to explain (like you said) but personnally i'm feeling nostalgic because Minecraft helped to "get out" and set my mind totally out of the real world. It helped me so much, but now (i'm 18 but played the game since the beginning) when I play to the game, it doesn't feel the same way than before. I don't have this weird happy feeling that I felt before.
But yeah, this feeling is unexplainable and i don't know if i'm crying of happiness or sadness. Normaly i don't usually cry, but hearing that... it's impossible to not cry.
@@shyclow9868 biggest facts ive heard in a while
Im still a kid, and I’ve only played Minecraft for about 5 years. So like half of my life I’ve played it, I still remember when dolphins and fish weren’t a thing and there were only squids. I still remember when Minecraft added the new textures. I remember making houses in ravines, with like 50 pet dogs. Even though I’m not the oldest, Minecraft is still a part of my life that me and my friends will never let go of most likely.
Somehow comparing it to an old home you come back to made so much sense, it's really silly but thinking about visiting my old worlds again feels like coming back to your hometown just to realize there are no people left but just memories
i know like you did not take the sounds to be sad back then and now the sounds that were once happy are now sad to us who played on anxbox 360 or old ps3 or 2 back in 2016 or 2014
Nothing hits harder than just laying in your room alone in the dark listening to this, remembering all the memories, not just Minecraft but just life back then. Peaceful and fun times.
