Thus the connection with Pavarotti. He's also a humanist, a pacifier , a true believer that world can be changed and is in the best band ever. I so wish he is happy!
U2 are some of the greatest songwriters of all time, combine that with Bono's vocal power and Edge's innovative guitars... Unreal results
Pretty damn impressive. You can tell it was the end of a tour or a long night. But he kept enough in reserve to hit that final Pavrotti note. Well Done Bono.
What's great is he doesn't try to go opera style with it but sings it in how he's comfortable with.
I spent many years of my life listening and reading of what was happening in Sarajevo. There's a kid that tries to sneak out of snipers targets. He's supposed to buy food. his father has died. he has a mother and a baby sister. This happens almost at the end of the siege. He's shot ,
I did not write this song, or perform it, but I feel so strongly about the feeling of this song, that I feel I own it, and that reason is because of Pavarottis part in this song, it is in my opionion the best song ever performed. I always have listend to this song sing i first heard it. And I think bono performing Pavorittis part is a honour to the great great man, he could have sung it in english or not even sung it, but he did it in the honour of pavortti. Thanks U2 and Pavoritti for this.:)

I've never heard this song before and it brought tears to my eyes. So much feeling and the words are beautiful. I loved the operatic style in the middle and the Italian words sounded so beautiful. Breathtaking. I will now watch Pavarotti's version also and enjoy that too i'm sure.

I only looked for this rendition after reading the history behind it, because of the one he did with Pavarotti. I'm not a U2 fan. All the ones he did by himself made him seem out there (which is why he's successful). Pavarotti brought him up a few levels so he could reach more people ❤ Don't watch the original video unless you want be horrified, which is probably why Pavarotti did this song with him. He built a beautiful place out there for children to learn the arts.
