This is the best freezer meal prep that I have ever seen! It is easy and we eat all the meals .we are 70 years old and we really needed this. Thank you and may God bless you
Your youngest Daughter is a great cook, reminds me of me watching my Grandma we lived with cook.I fried Chicken made Mashed Potatoes and Gravy and GreenBeans. And I could make Spaghetti Dinner with Garlic Bread,I made Grilled Cheese Sandwiches,I could do Breakfast and my Baby Brother who is 59 now and I woulld make Riasted Hotdogs over our Gas Stove Burner and then we would make Smores and Riast Marshmallows on a fork.Great Memories
This is the first time I have seen your channel. I am a "retired homeschool mom. I have to say that your kiddos are so poised in front of the camera. Keep up the good work Mom and remember girls, you can do anything you put your mind to.
Great ideas..cute kiddos❣️I learned instead of using three dishes for ( flour, egg, crumbs) mix flour with eggs and a little water to make a thickish batter….dip in crumbs..works every time! Just an idea!
Great video, learned so much. My life will be so much easier now. Can’t wait to see ALL your videos. Especially loved watching your girls helping in the kitchen.
I loved your video. I am making freezer meals for new parents. I’ve read so many things don’t freeze well or turn mushy. Do you have any tips on what not to freeze?
I Loved this episode, your channel, your family!! I enjoy your format. I have subscribed, liked, and shared. You're awesome. I have already ordered the containers from your link. I do have a question, I may have missed it in the video, how do you prepare the meals? From frozen to the microwave or thaw? How long do you nuke them? I dont want to ruin them. Thanks
Thank you so much! You are so kind🥰 For reheating we usually thaw one overnight in the fridge and then heat in the microwave…I start at 5 minutes and then just keep going from there until it is warm all the way through. Though, if you forget to thaw, it’s not a big deal, it just takes more microwave time
Great video! I liked to see it being a family effort! Your daughters did a wonderful job! You are a great mom and wife. Instilling importance of knowing how to cook! Hubby did well also! Thank you for sharing
If u r fond of saucy pairings for rice, using beef stew, try Filipino BEEF AFRITADA, BEEF MENUDO, BEEF KARE KARE. for mediterranean twist... try BEEF TAGINE.
Love that you use deer meat for your spaghetti sauce. I use kangaroo here. It's super lean and environmentally sustainable (despite the uninformed opinions I hear from overseas).
that's very interesting! I'm also uninformed (but have never had or expressed an opinion 🤣)... so, I assume kangaroo is just wild game and hunted? are there certain seasons or is it year round? what do you hunt them with? we're just gearing up for deer season in a couple of weeks and hope to fill the freezer back up!
@@FromtheRootsUp I don't hunt. I buy it in the supermarket where it's readily available. Certain species of kangaroo are shot year round by professional licenced shooters under strict controls addressing both ecological and and animal welfare concerns. Certain species of roo are far more abundant now than in the past due to land clearance for pasture. Roo numbers can increase incredibly fast as a female can have one in gestation, one in the pouch and another at foot at the same time, which is fine until a drought hits (inevitable here) which is just awful in terms of animal welfare. They do not add methane to the atmosphere and unlike cattle and other introduced stock, they do not have hard hooves. The Australian environment did not evolved with hard hooved animals and both vegetation and the soil structure is susceptible to damage from this. The meat is very lean and healthy and versatile....oh...and it taste great too! 😃
sweetheart i love how your cooking but heres an easy way to make enchiladas first get corn totillas not flour then you cook them for 10sec in oil and warm up the enchilada sauce then you dip the tortilla in it then fill it and roll tight then place in baking dish
No, I had some health issues a few months back that got us behind, but we are working on several videos as we speak to get posted in the coming days and weeks!
First time watching I’m a single granny that always love precooking my meals and freezing them as I have good and bad days with my fibromyalgia and it’s then so easy to grab a single frozen meal out that morning for my evening meal the chicken and mash looked lush so did the beef ends but I would put that with mash as well thank you for new ideas xxx
I'm another silver single and, like you, I enjoy batch cooking for the freezer. I do a big cook-up once a week and put the results up in single servings. It's efficient, cheap, and convenient. All I need to do "on the day" is whip up a salad accompaniment or steam some veg. Simples!
Just came across your channel ❤ I love that the whole family gets involved. And you've done just individual portions. I love to batch cook theres only 2 of us but makes life so much easier. Great video and can't wait to have a binge watch hugs from Ireland x
I really enjoyed this video. Would love to see more of these. I loved that everyone chipped in and the fact that it was basic meals we would make at home. Great job everyone
First time watching your video. Loved it. Most cooking shows spend so much time talking I just stop watching them. This was great. Right to the cooking. The girls are so confident and efficient. I do a lot of meal prep 😊cooking (freezer meals) for family and others and these are perfect. Going to make all of them, including making the venison spaghetti.
Just found your channel, and you have such a cute family! You and your hubby are doing amazing with the girls, so many young people don’t know how to cook for themselves and it becomes such a financial problem when they are on their own. Great job! The meals you chose were great for freezer meals also. I just lost my hubby after a very long illness last Thursday and this will be great for me now as a party of one. Thank you for this, it will make my adjustment easier
The recipe with the chuck roast reminds me of recipe I do called Shredded Italian Roast Beef for sandwiches. This recipe uses a slow cooker. 5 lbs chuck roast 2 pkgs dry Italian Salas dressing mix 2 pkgs dry onion soup mix(like Lipton) sliced onion 8 oz pickled banana peppers mild 2 cups beef broth. I didn't have beef broth the last time I made it but I had individual single serve beef bone broth packages that made 8 oz each so I added 2 pkg with 2 cups of water. I also added some of the pickling liquid from the banana peppers. Put all in the slow cooker at least go on low for 12 to 18 hours or until the meat easily shreds.
Great question! Since these are all fully cooked meals, all they need is to be reheated! You can do whatever reheating method works best for you. These containers are microwave safe so we just stick them in the microwave to reheat them!
I am so happy I joined in too My family size went from 4 to just me. I have been searching for recipes and I am Thankful for all you shared. You have a Beautiful family and can't wait to fill my freezer! Thanks for sharing ♥♥♥♥
Hi I love ❤️ your meal prep freezer meals. Really enjoyed watching your video. Question when putting containers in freezer do you wrap it or just put lids on?
It depends on how long they will be in there...if we will use them fast I just snap the lid on and stick them in the fridge, if they will be in there beyond a few weeks they last a lot longer if you wrap them and then put lids on
I second what Suzan said, plastic wrap works great if you are leaving them in the freezer for a long time. We usually use these within a month and don’t have an issue with freezer burn. They should keep for several months in the freezer!
They all looked delicious and i wished. I could get my grandkids interested in doing this with me. They live with me But their mother has gotten them into. Boxed microwave foods and they won't eat anything I cook. Because it didnt come from a box from walmart. Its sad, but their mothers does not know how to cook peruod and she only eats from boxed freezer foids from walmart.
Mandy in the making calls it dub sauce cause can't pronounce it either and I call it dub sauce as well because I can't pronounce it either it's hard for some of us to say Worcestershire sauce
You Ladies are life savers. The first one was awesome too. Two weeks ago I lost the love of my life to a heart attack. So, that I can get back to some form of normalcy, this will do the trick. Thanks for the awesome videos. 🙂
Kristi, I am a brand new subscriber. These will be good for several months. It depends on how air tight your containers are as well. The more well sealed they are the longer they will last without freezer burn
I make 15 meals per week for my mom, i use containers that have 3 sections, unfortunately she cannot have spices, onions, salt, pepper, it’s challenging, but I create flavor with homemade chicken and seafood broth… After seeing her full freezer of prepared meals each week after I deliver, I’m going to begin doing this for myself. LOVE the whole family participation! By my own personal experience, I have found the spaghetti soaks up the sauce and gets kinda dry when you pack it together while everything is hot. But if you let everything cool off BEFORE combining it, then it stays saucy, more like fresh spaghetti. It does take longer to assemble that way, but the texture is so much better, just my opinion. It all looks so yummy!! Keep these videos comin’!
I absolutely love these ideas for creating actual home cooked meals for lunchtime. Lunch is always a tough one for me and my hubby as we r rushing around trying to get so many things done during the day and don’t like to stop and cook or clean after a big production. It’s awesome how the whole family loves to get in there and create together. What an amazing family u all r! U guys have become my all time fav go to for inspiration ❤
You can also find stacks of take away containers if you shop at Costco or another warehouse club. Great video! I wanted to add if you don't have easy access to a microwave at your work, you can put these takeout containers in a hot logic mini food warmer.

YOUR DAUGHTERS DO A FANTASTIC JOB
When I bread fish I found that I really like a mixture of cornmeal and parmesan
All great ideas. Loved every recipe. What are instructions for reheating each dish from frozen? Thank you and keep posting!!
We usually put them in the fridge the night before and let them thaw and then when we are ready for them microwave until they are warmed through.
Thank you! I really wasn’t expecting such a quick reply! Love you family and your content!

You should have not cleaned the pan with beef tips . Cook those onions with the meat bits . That’s where the flavor is

😊Looks great and yummy 😋 and delicious 😋 😊😮
Hi! I just found you. My question is, do you get freezer burn inside of these meals? And, how long with these meals last for your family? Thank you.
Put a piece of plastic wrap on top of food. Just remember to remove plastic wrap before heating. Works like a charm.
I second what Suzan said, plastic wrap works great if you are leaving them in the freezer for a long time. We usually use these within a month and don’t have an issue with freezer burn. They should keep for several months in the freezer!

love letting the children do it and learn
Thanks for watching! They are such amazing helpers and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to get to teach them super important skills like this💜
@fromtherootsup can you do a video of you reheating these meals, how long? Do you have to thaw the night before? What is the best way?
First time watching! Loved the recipes you used! Will be trying several of them! :)
I would not be touching the store bag and handling your food…the outside of the bag is not clean, you’re adding bacteria to your meal.
Mandy in the making calls it dub sauce cause can't pronounce it either and I call it dub sauce as well because I can't pronounce it either it's hard for some of us to say Worcestershire sauce
How do you reheat the meals and for how long? Do you defrost first? Thank you.
Thank you. Finally, simple delicious meals I can make at home easy for freezing.
Great video - new subscriber. Thanks.

How long are they good for in the freezer?
These will be good for several months. It depends on how air tight your containers are as well. The more well sealed they are the longer they will last without freezer burn

Found it
Glad you found it! Sorry it took me a bit to see this!
I make 15 meals per week for my mom, i use containers that have 3 sections, unfortunately she cannot have spices, onions, salt, pepper, it’s challenging, but I create flavor with homemade chicken and seafood broth…
After seeing her full freezer of prepared meals each week after I deliver, I’m going to begin doing this for myself. I’ve always had menus planned, when the kids were really busy I would plan out two months at a time…just planning that helps…you always have the right supplies.
But now i want to not just a have a few meals, i want what I’m delivering to my mom, complete meals!
Great video, thanks.
First time here. I enjoyed the different family members cooking. It was different.👍
Why
There are lots of reasons to prepare meals for easy cooking or reheating, but it's not for everyone. Have a blessed day!

You can also find stacks of take away containers if you shop at Costco or another warehouse club. Great video! I wanted to add if you don't have easy access to a microwave at your work, you can put these takeout containers in a hot logic mini food warmer.
Great tip! Those look really handy!
Looking forward to learn to make meals for freezer. This is my 1st time seeing your videos. God bless you & your girls from grandma Katie in Oregon
