WOW, this was wonderful! Your daughters were polite, so sweet and very capable. They worked hard right beside you, I am so impressed, and this was not just a meal or two, it was huge. Well done girls, you both rocked this out and you both are beautiful! Good job mom, there is much to be said with that in today's world. God bless your family.

I really appreciate that you actually have shared the full 31 recipes, rather than most others say 20 freezer meals but they are just 5 recipes that they made four batches of. Also, agree with so many others that your daughters are mature and so impressive with their assistance! Good job Mom and girls!! 😁

Agreed! Families need to make sure the kids can take care of themselves when they are adults - saving money, prepping meals, following instructions, working together to accomplish something "daunting" or "tedious", etc!

Wow! While the meals were great I was most impressed with your girls and obviously the parents who are working along side them. You mentioned at the beginning that this would be part of their Home Economics education. While that's certainly true you also covered public speaking, reading and comprehension, as well as some math skills! Aside from the "education" aspect they are learning respect and how to actually work together as a family. You're doing a great job with those two. They will go far in life. Congrats and best wishes to you all.

First time watching you Makayla and Taylor, what a delightful family. Food for thought, I will buy 6 costo rotisserie chicken and use those as part of my freezer meals, we're a family of 2 with 1 lunch for my husband.
I will Break down the chicken in dinner portions, wrap each quarter in saran wrap and vacuum pack a dinner portion. It's a convenient way to have roasted chicken.
With the chicken skeleton I make broth and freeze.

This is my first time seeing your channel. I am so impressed with your girls, Their ease on camera is fantastic. With the whole shootin' match actually, including you Mom. So many of these shows make 5 or 6 of the same thing to make 30 meals. Not so great when we're looking for variety. Let me say that while I am always enthusiastic, I am not easily impressed. I am impressed. I think your little Mikayla (no clue yet how you spell it) would thoroughly enjoy another UA-camr, Frugal Fit Mom. Maybe check her out to see what you think Mom. Mikayla shows just a spark of being her kindred spirit. LOL

I just came across your channel today ! I don’t know how I haven’t seen you before because I watch a lot of different channels that do freezer meals and cooking etc .. but I’m glad I have found your channel now too! You have some really good helpers in your kitchen . What a Blessing! It’s refreshing to your children helping you and at the same time learning to cook and manage a recipe all on their own and that they know how to do prep work on cutting up veggies and fruits and meat for freezer meals . Fantastic job girls! I’ve already written down some of your freezer meal recipes .. I can’t wait to prep up a bunch of veggies and get the ingredients needed for the stir fry freezer meals !It sounds so good! Thanks for putting the links down in the description box and sharing them with us .Blessings!💕

For your shrimp fried rice...start with the onions, cook until translucent, add the other veggies(if they are frozen i would add carrots with the onion, I don'tlike crunchy carrots- I use the salad match stick kind in min), ginger, garlic last, table spoon of soy sauce. I would make the sauce and put that and the shrimp in a bag by themselves. Add the rice to the veggies, another tablespoon of soy sauce (or you can make extra of your original sauce) and place in freezer bag, staple the shrimp bag to it. Shrimp take such a short time to cook, when you are reheating the meal they will overcook and can become rubbery. I use just a touch of onion, corn, carrots and edamame in mine, my mom adds broccoli, radish and sometimes even tomato to hers. Looking forward to trying so many of these meals!! Great job ladies!

A new subscriber here ..very much enjoyed the few videos I’ve watched so far ..
you have such wonderful young ladies for daughters , very articulate and confident…well done Momma , I know it isn’t always easy , looks like you’ve really taught them well ….
It’s really lovely to watch a family cook / prep meals together especially as so many young people can’t even boil an egg or make a simple sandwich
( would you believe at my daughters primary school 15 years ago they had the canteen ladies do a class on how to make basic sandwiches as so many parents honestly didn’t know how to make a packed lunch for their kids ..I was surprised and very saddened as I was taught so much by my Dad and I couldn’t believe other parents didn’t do the same )
these kinds of meals are so tasty and so easy for even beginner cooks so I think anyone could follow these lovely recipes to feed their families good food on a budget …..I’ll binge watching all night 😊

Well, I spend about $450, but I had a lot of the meat already because we had a deer in the freezer from last hunting season and the pantry staples like flour, sugar, etc. Not sure how much it would have been if I would have had to buy all that. But the $450 did include all of the disposable pans. I would love to eventually invest in enough covered glass casserole dishes to do freezer meals without buying all those.

@@FromtheRootsUp If you hit up thrift stores you can find them on the cheaper side, not always covered but I use foil on the ones without lids. Also you can line with foil, add your food and then lift the meal out after it's frozen so you can reuse the dish. Just make sure you have one always empty to plop the wrapped one in to cook it.

Pretty new to your channel. Must say, mom...great job! You are raising such accomplished, intelligent, capable children. I think they should get extra credit on home economics for this school year. I wish my mom had taught me these things as early as you are. She had to go to work when i was 13 and i was suddenly expected to make dinner every night. My poor dad ate a lot of hamburger steaks, spaghetti and liver and onions. All things that defrosted fast. He wouldn't eat casseroles. It would have helped if we had worked on a meal plan so that i knew what to defrost the night before. But we all survived! Trial by fire! I see a wide variety of delicious food in your futures. New subscriber!!!!

Lots of great ideas, but you guys seem to eat a lot of cheese! Also you add salt to cheese recipes, there is plenty of salt in cheese already? I think we use lots less in U.K., salt that is, bad for your health and our tastes are different I think. I notice you use a lot of pre bought sauces, some of them are so easy to make yourself, and will reduce your oil, sugar and salt consumption. Do you have meat free meals too? Sorry, lots of questions. Great to see your girls getting involved, best way for them to learn effort that goes into feeding a family, (boys need to learn too) 💕 Well done, that was a mammoth session! I’m off to do some bagging and prepping myself now (just for 2, but everything helps!) Thanks for sharing (don’t take offence at my comments, it’s great to see what everyone else is doing, and the difference in our cultures as to what meals we all eat! )

I learned alot from you today thank you! Keep making memories in the kitchen together!
