    Make sure you also season your chicken under the skin. That way, the flesh also gets flavor. I usually make a compound butter( just softend butters and seasoning or flavor) and rub that on the skin and flesh. Also, i season inside the cavity. Add garlic/lemon. Whatever you want. That's my little tip.

      Great suggestion on the butter. I would stuff butter in between the skin and meat.
      I have a small suggestion:
      Tie the aromatics together with the spring onion and stuff it into the cavity.

      @@t-t-t-t-s I use basmati rice, and only rinse it 2-3 times, but it is never sticky. I will try 10 times (forgive me, @aspiringcat's Japanese/Taiwanese mom!) just to see if my uneducated Caucasian taste buds can notice any difference. I hope I do!😲

      @mozempire5096 I was taught to wash till the water(cold water) in the bowl of rice is clear, this tends to take 5+ washes (haven't counted how many) - I have found there to be a big difference when I havent washed till clear (sometimes the grains aren't separated and stick together but never become super mush) but it also depends on how many cups of water you use to boil your rice.

    I loved the rice trick! For me, I buy the huge bag that has frozen peas, corn, & carrots (I think that’s all it has in it? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂) and the jar beef bouillon both from Costco. I make the stock and use that instead of water. Then I add the frozen veggies and mix it up, then cook it. Works so well and is pretty good when you’re bored of regular white or brown rice. Super easy!

    • @IVvOOvVI
      @IVvOOvVI 4 місяці тому

      I like to cook brown rice with raw bean of my choice. It could be mid pinto beans, black beans, Salvadoran red beans and then I add the spicy sauce from this Mediterranean restaurant that I got it’s like spicy and it also has some yogurt. Cucumber taste is so good. I put it in there and also use chicken broth from Costco mix with water fill it to the desire level. If I want to feel fancy, I can add other cut up squash or carrots. I like to add vegetables that are very hard to cook such as carrots and if I added it in and cook it with all these delicious flavors, it will make the carrot taste better.

Then mix it and finish it with green onion. Not as quick as the original but still fairly quick when im exhausted.

    The rice cooker should actually come with a recipe booklet where you can look up not only the cooking time and settings for different types of rice, but also when you want to e.g. do grains or pseudocereals like quinoa.

    Thankfully with a Cuckoo rice cooker you can put on the auto clean function after you make a dish like the chicken and it'll steam out all the nooks and crannies.

    For the chicken I’d pat the chicken dry with paper towel first. I always do 1tbsp per kg of chicken

    The whole chicken just need to be marinated longer so it sinks into the meat then it’ll taste a lot better.
