Definitely have Alfred do a cooking video!
yup, I agree!!! That would be fun, and let Lila be the taste tester!
alfredo
Watching Lyla grow makes me cry everytime , like lyla was a baby yesterday 😭😭
The fact that she can walk an talk is so baffling to me.. like she was born yesterday how is that possible
FR I remember her videos during pregnancy and then her labour video ND all videos how did she grow so fast 😭
@@KQUIZZEEE FR 😭💗
For reaaaaal 🥹❤
OMG thaths so true it stil feels like Tina was pregnante yeater day
Make sure you also season your chicken under the skin. That way, the flesh also gets flavor. I usually make a compound butter( just softend butters and seasoning or flavor) and rub that on the skin and flesh. Also, i season inside the cavity. Add garlic/lemon. Whatever you want. That's my little tip.
Great tip!
Great suggestion on the butter. I would stuff butter in between the skin and meat.
I have a small suggestion:
Tie the aromatics together with the spring onion and stuff it into the cavity.
Thank you for not editing out the math fumble. That is such a REAL cooking situation I relate to 😂
right!! i once attempted to make xiao long bao with almost ten times the correct amount of gelatin (in my defense i donot understand ounces at all and was trying to convert it to grams)
I just got on UA-cam after a breakdown and I saw a Tina video, I’m so lucky that your here to comfort me
I hope you’re feeling better ❤ sending you lots of love
@@tina_yong i always wait for your cooking videos. They're so fun and silly. I've been going through a very hard time. And when u said if you're having a bad day this will make u smile was all i needed to hear nd see 😢
@@kristykashyap8224 Sorry to hear things have been tough. Hang in there, and feel better soon!
Sorry you are having a hard time! Sending lots of light your way!
Feel better!
I would 100% love to watch an episode where Alfred does the cooking 😂
If there’s enough demand I think I’ll be able to convince him
Tinaa, you have to make an episode of Alfreds cooking and chef Tina 😆
My Japanese/Taiwanese mom rinses her rice TEN TIMES 😫
She lives with me and the last time I made rice I lost count of how many times I rinsed it and thought “eh, she won’t noticed”…she did indeed notice and I’m not allowed to make rice anymore 😅
Wow!! 10 times!
omg, its like that meme " how will she know? shes not gonna know? " SHE KNEW 😂😂😂
The more you rinse the rice the less starch, if you leave the starch in, it makes the rice once cooked more gummy/sticky.
@@t-t-t-t-s I use basmati rice, and only rinse it 2-3 times, but it is never sticky. I will try 10 times (forgive me, @aspiringcat's Japanese/Taiwanese mom!) just to see if my uneducated Caucasian taste buds can notice any difference. I hope I do!😲
@mozempire5096 I was taught to wash till the water(cold water) in the bowl of rice is clear, this tends to take 5+ washes (haven't counted how many) - I have found there to be a big difference when I havent washed till clear (sometimes the grains aren't separated and stick together but never become super mush) but it also depends on how many cups of water you use to boil your rice.
Love that you kept the bit about the cups and ml conversion 😂 that was so cute and makes this more real
I don't count how many times I rinse, I rinse until the water looks clear 😂
I love how you comment on the salt/seasoning level each time, so important! For seasoning meats, I typically do 1 tsp of salt per pound of meat, works very well!
Oooh the chicken in the rice cooker gives me the idea of making hainanese chicken at home.
I always rinse the rice 3 times and then use it to water my plants.
And yes, definitely need a video of Alfred doing the cooking.
And cheese and garlic always makes things tastes better.
Oh wow, I never thought to actually USE the rinse water. What a wonderful idea! Thank you!!!
I agree Tina that your hubby Alfred should lead to your next cooking video
Yes let him cook....in another video it will be soo cool
“ it has to be good it has cheese “ 😭😂!
What a perfect motto
Really love your tiktok recipes videos, yall were so candid and pretty sure yall had so much fun filming this because I was having fun watching and laughing to your content 😂❤️
The clap clap 👏🏻
...
"Thanks for syncing my audio"
As a film student, I get it 😂
Before reducing the stock for the chicken, take out shallots and garlic, and blend them, then return them to the pot add a small dash of red wine and then reduce.
You end up with thicker and tastier sauce.
LOVED this video, guys! Thank you for not cutting out the bloopers. It really helps to know that there are others who don't always bring their Maths along for the day.😂
The tomato rice 🍚 I do a Mexican one with taco seasoning and also u pre cook the mince, onions and garlic on the stove top with also taco seasoning then when it’s ready u add cheese and serve with sour cream….its so good (veggies I used was capsicums of any colours, black beans and corn)
Loving every video of yours!! 🫶
Hey Tina! I made the last one for my family tonight and they said it was delicious, thank youu! 😊
Amazed by your cooking series ❤❤❤
will def try this out. another rice cooker recipes pls!
When in doubt, more cheese and garlic powder is def the way to go. That chicken recipe is so versatile and the curry pasta looks pretty scrumptious!
your cooking videos has been my comfort show since covid 😂😂 love itttt
I really love ur food related content thank you ❤
Trick for the 1st dish. Absolutely add more spices and herbs, but also as you noted, less rice. Need more veggies to rice ratio! Much more tastier and nutrient dense! I think you can do this w/o a rice cooker if you don't have one. Anyone have any suggestions?
Mushrooms! Especially shiitake (香菇), dried or fresh. I personally prefer dried because the flavour is stronger but it’s not for everyone.
This was SO fun to watch! It was also inspiring. I have never used my rice cooker for anything other than rice, porridge, and one time, a cake (it works!). But your curry pasta recipe looked so good, I went and purchased the Golden Curry cubes, and some oyster sauce - both having never graced my doorstep. Today's Adventure is to begin in a few hours. Wish me luck!
I love these cooking videos! Love. The well coordinated thumbs up dance! Also you made an awesome video even better by adding Layla!!! 🫰🏼🫶🏼🫰🏼🫶🏼🫰🏼🫶🏼
This would be a cool concept with slow cookers, pressure cookers and air fryers, too!
Enjoyed the video, it was calming. Thank you 😊🧡💛such a lovely family. (The energy and connection's were sweet and fun) makes me wanna cook.😂😅
Queens of kitchen chaos! I love it.😂
It's literally 5 am in South Africa and I'm here watching you, that's how much I love you girl
The tomato rice is a fancier version of an idea I came across a few years ago, where you put salt, pepper, oil, and a tomato in with rice.
I just love your cooking videos...these are so fun to watch😂...and a great tip at end when in doubt add more cheese and garlic 😉😝
i'm invested with your viral recipes!
Absolutely love your cooking videos.. ❤❤❤
As always your videos are the best❤❤
I love you guys!!! So freaking adorable! Especially with baby cooking!!!! Love it!!!
Ive heard before that Alfred made the pizza dough when you made pizza for dinner, i thought he was a good cooker hahha
I want to see him as the chef for an episode making his personal recipes hahaha 😂
Yes alfred cooking would be so epic
When i make lazy rice i cook the sausages with oyster sauce, soy sauce, fried shallots, mushroom, oyster sauce sesame oil, and garlic then pour the whole thing on top of the rice with the other stuff already there. Then mix it and finish it with green onion. Not as quick as the original but still fairly quick when im exhausted.
Hii tina!! Im excited for the video
I loved the rice trick! For me, I buy the huge bag that has frozen peas, corn, & carrots (I think that’s all it has in it? 🤷🏻♀️😂) and the jar beef bouillon both from Costco. I make the stock and use that instead of water. Then I add the frozen veggies and mix it up, then cook it. Works so well and is pretty good when you’re bored of regular white or brown rice. Super easy!
This was pretty funny! I laughed a lot! Thank you guys!
I CLICKED SO FAST MY FINGER TRIPPED!!❤️
Its overwhelming in a good way to see lyla grow up😊❤ time flew so fast, it felt like everything happened yesterday 😄
Random facts, but the second wash of rice water makes for the best soup base for some Korean soup dishes. It is also very good to use and water indoor plants with. Lol
Yes yes to Alfred cooking 🥘 Love these videos xx
So much fun ❤ we need an alfred version!
Love your cooking videos... i soo look forward toi it
Thumbs up to Alfred doin a cooking session. 😊
Yes, to Alfred's cooking, he says he can do better challenges excepted 100%. If i can find my rice cooker the last recipe I think i must try this.❤❤❤❤XXXXX
So cute watching Lyla enjoy some of these foods with you guys! And the brain cell comments totally are me when I have not smart moments 😂😂💯
I have garlic powder in my work office and I take it with me on vacation - it's a must!
Love your videos! And I’ve got the same smiley salad server 😊
Ahh this series is literally the best WE NEED MORE OF THIS TIKTOK RECIPES VIDEOS!!🤌🏻
The chicken 8:42 🤣🤣😂
Watching you since I was 9 years old and now I'm 17....still addicted to your content😭🫨
Omg same
Your cooking videos are the best 😂❤
Hi tina ,nice video 👍🇸🇬 Could you please do a video on rice cooker steam dishes for those lazy but want to fix a quick neal with rice cooker only . Healthy & yet affordable meals
Look forward to it . Cheers ❤
I’ve heard that you should not wash rice in the pan because it will wear away coating faster. Great idea! Could make easy fried rice after it’s cooked - maybe par cook, then fry.
We want alfred as head chef.
Need to try the last recipe but probably would put spicy curry instead the mild one 😉
The food looks so good
That first recipes slogan should be So bland kids love it
These look so easy to do.
What if you only have a rice cooker that cooks and warms that's all. Just one lever.
Would these work?
I'd put some frozen minced garlic and ginger into the first one if I were to try it now, thanks for the honest review!
It would be great to see Alfred cook in one of your videos. I really enjoy your cooking series. Keep up the great work! Love to you all 🥰🤗
I need one where Alfred cooks! And one with lila lol would be very chaotic
Please keep doing that opening of you guys making the heart!!! 🤣❤️
I have the same rice cooker as you. Which setting did you use for the chicken?
My grandson says hi to his UA-cam baby friend Lyla. He’s always excited to see her in your videos.
Love ur videos Tina!!!!! You never forget to make us laugh..
❤❤❤❤❤❤ keep going girl!!
OMGoodness. Your daughter is absolutely adorable. I love my rice cooker. I'm going to try the curry dish. With the correct measurements...LOL. Great vid.
WE LOVED THE LITTLE REVIWER IN THIS VIDEO :)
Yeah, my rice cooker just has the cook/keep warm button 😂
Gottatry them with the simple rice cooker with cook and keep warm options 😅
Right?! Like I don't even have buttons on my rice cooker just a switch and a plug 😅
Yessss Alfred cooking video!
On the seasonings in the water mix well before adding into the rice cooker n taste the broth. Ginger n onion or green onions add to flavor. If u prefer to add seasonings into the pot then taste the liquid before u close the lid. I do add powder, soy sauce, oyster sauce n a little ketchup as an option. Instead of 3 cups, I’ll put a wee bit under 3 cups bec of the liquid seasonings. This is on the first recipe. I did appreciate the honest reaction to the rice.😝👍🏼🌻☮️🙏🏼
First time watching your video. Subscribed n liked.
Thankfully with a Cuckoo rice cooker you can put on the auto clean function after you make a dish like the chicken and it'll steam out all the nooks and crannies.
I actually bought a Cuckoo rice cooker with a pressure cook option for when I want to cook quickly or different things like pasta in it (or anything else that could use the high pressure option). I've seen someone do pasta (just with water) in the high pressure multicook option for 15 minutes.
The rice cooker should actually come with a recipe booklet where you can look up not only the cooking time and settings for different types of rice, but also when you want to e.g. do grains or pseudocereals like quinoa.
please do crockpot dinners!
Yes definitely alfred should do the cooking videos. # Chicken King Chaos 😂
Can you do popular foods from Central America?? I love your videos ❤!
I would add the rice dish from the first half with the chicken in the second half!!!
You girls remind me of my granddaughter!! I enjoyed your crazy cooking video!!!👍🏼
I'd add soyez sauce to that whole chicken one just because it seems to be steamed and I like the crispy skin so if I have to do without that would at least give it that umami boost
So with the chicken, no need to add liquid?is it safe for the rice cooker to cook in dry like that?my rice cooker is the heat/keep warm up and down options only and if there's no liquid, it may burn and spoil the cooker (said my dad)
😂😂😂 I love the measurement part lol
The chicken looks really yummy 😋 👌
OH YESSS WE DEFINITELY WANT THE CHAOTIC COOKING VIDEO OF ALFRED!
Your math solving scenario reminds me of me and my bestie 😂
That like intro was awesome😂🔥
Brooo wait ! If 250ml= 1 cup. Then wouldn’t 1 1/2 cups be 375ml? Half of 250= 125. So 250+125= 375 right ????
What Tina taught me: if the food tastes bad add garlic powder or cheese
That ( OH MY GOD 😂) got me lol after doing the armpit of the chicken we gonna skip the bottom 😂😂
Whenever you say that’s it needs some flavor I know you’ll mention garlic 🤣🤣. And that proves that you have a good taste in food 😌
Did your family move to a larger apartment in Singapore?? The kitchen is different!!!
