@@WilliamLimao Budget version always had a winning record, this one def seems better but you should win more than u lose with the budget deck barring any horrible luck
Seth, on skipping your turn: my personal MTGO crusade is to get people to stop using f6 (which actually defaults to 6 now, but whatever). INSTEAD: 1) press 8 and 7 at the beginning of each game - this auto-passes when you have no possible action whatsoever (i.e. tapped out, for the most part) and auto-stacks identical triggers, respectively. 8 saves a TON of time, and never has the same screw-you-over issue that 6 has. 8's only real downside is for cards like Force of Will/Negation (8 was called "disable force-of-will bluffing" for that reason; you can still bluff other spells just fine), but for most decks/circumstances it's just pure upside. 7 is a bit more fringe in its benefits, but is easy enough to hit at the same time. 2) assign "auto-yield to this" to a hotkey. "auto-yes to this" is also pretty useful. (if you want to do both, auto-yes first, then auto-yield). you can also directly assign "yes" and "no" to hotkeys so you don't have to maneuver to click the prompt. This greatly reduces the benefits of 6 by shifting them to functions far less likely to screw you over (AND it does so while saving you MORE clocktime). I can see that you already use a hotkey for "ok", which is also very good for saving time, instead of dragging the mouse over. For basically-100%-of-cases, you could also go ahead and remove the stops from your Beginning of Combat Step and your End Step, to save a couple presses. Those are steps that are only ever needed in rare cases, and you can just turn your end step stop on in response to an opponent doing something in your end step. (In general, they're less useful than even a stop on your on draw step (which I'm not recommending and is very much extremely-tiny-edges, but does actually has some benefits, due to mana pools emptying, precombat-main triggers, etc).) Removing a couple unnecessary stops also reduces the number of times you have to hit "ok", which makes not-using-6 even better. *Sometimes* 6 is okay to use (and I do still have it bound to something convenient and use it when the coast is clear), but it should NOT be the default reaction. Getting out of that habit will improve your game, and getting INTO the habit of 8 and auto-yield will improve your quality of life.
Seth! Super spicy deck man. Loved it. So salt inducing and quick. Good stuff. In other news, spread the word: New Gruul tag line: "Tap lands... and catch these hands!"
I think beast within on that forest w/ sprawl on it (like 3 turns before he conceded) would have kept the opponent down between 2 and 4 mana for the rest of the game. He would have come back, I'm almost certain.
Speaking of old decks coming back, I’d love to see a fresh take on gw emeria! That thing has been my baby since I first watched those videos and I think its got plenty of new toys to play with
The change at 5:35 when first you show the 1-of in the sideboard and then the 3-of in the main deck feels a bit strange, have you considered writing 3+1 or something similar for cards that are played both in the maindeck and in the sideboard (at least for toolbox decks)?
Yeah, the problem is that the numbers that show up under the cards are based on the main deck and sideboard, so if I put them together either the sideboard or maindeck version wouldn't have a number.
At 47:44 op's line of eating the wurm was a tad risky due to being able to re grab it with a karn wish. If we had 2nd karn or land in hand and drew the other we had the mana to play karn and wurm again too.
I enjoy when you play Mono green land destruction. It was touching to hear an opponent is getting into Two headed Giant & then you (mis)quote Beavis & Butthead. Thanks for the truly janky content. You earned those chests.
Saffron I love your videos but I haven't been playing for a long time. It would be great if you can put the "arrow" on top of the new cards, that way I can stop the video and read what it does, like in 26:35 for example. Thanks and great content!
I wonder how one or two copies of World Breaker would do in this deck. It's a big threat to ramp into with the Acid Moss that gets rid of lands or other problem artifacts/enchantments and has recursion.
@@MTGGoldfish that seems greedy. It's great if you're playing from advantage but it's a dead card in many other scenarios. Plus Saber tooth is cheaper on the front end and let's you control the timing of the bounce so you can do it immediately if you have the mana or wait and block. Plus the ability comes with upside.
@@JuanWonOne In any case he can only cast one spell a turn so Lily seems more important since Seth had plenty of land and no utopia sprawls. If he drew a K-com next turn Lily could potentially end the game from there.

Game 3 against Ponza, why not Beast Within the Utopia land? Would've slowed them down a bit. Probably wouldnt have made a difference, but still... By killing the Arbor Elf with Ballista and leaving the Utopia land, the opponent started turn 3 with 3 mana and possibly a land drop. Could've used Beast Within on the Utopia land on upkeep. Opponent would have a summoning sick 3/3 beast, 2 mana (land and Arbor Elf untap) and possibly land drop. Maybe better? Maybe worse? Would still have Ballista in hand though
I think mono green land destruction is better with OG Garruk, then with Karn the great creator. Karn is more versatile but OG Garruk is makes the deck faster with him untapping multiple lands as a plus
