To me, Combination says "Aerosmith" like no other track on Rocks. Great job.
My personal favorite Aerosmith song
my favorite album....great song
Right on...Perfect job on my favorite song from Rocks...this one and Nobody's Fault...Keep em coming please...
Hey! Kinda late discovering your channel. Your interpretation of this tune sounds GREAT! Perfect version worked-out for a three piece band. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be sure to check out your other videos.
This is a great demo of a gnarly part. Nobody knows this song where I’m due to play, but, it’s a great riff.
You’ve hit upon the thing hauntingly familiar. You are the only man ever to do this up proper. Thank you mister.
You’re welcome, man.
Thanks a lot for this! Strangely I just discovered this album a few months ago. I have no idea how it escaped my radar. It's one of the coolest riffs I can think of.
@@unclesalty7778 yes it is a great record. Sick as a Dog is another favorite.
It's amazing how many tutorials on this are just way off. This is it! 😊 thanks, honestly it's been bugging me exactly how it's done for about 40 years!
That’s awesome man. Enjoy!
@@JonMackenzieGuitarist Nice video. For the first three notes, I've been playing 0ho4/5
There's another great tutorial, and the man is wearing a wide brim hat. Excellent tutorial.
Perrys best and one of aerosmiths finest songs
I agree. Joe's lyrics too I believe. Clever as any ever written by anyone.
My favourite song from my favourite album.
Same - and nice teaching and cover Jon
The best lesson on tbis song I hav seen. Ironically, its being presented on a very un-Aerosmith "Rocks" guitar.
Awesome lesson! Thank you! Great for intermediate players..best song ever!👍🏻🙏🏻🎸💥
Thanks I appreciate that!
Perfectly played. Awesome tone. Congrats. And thank you.
I forgot my name...I took the shots on the chin...I'm rearrangin' my game...tell by the shape I'm in! Thank you very much for this!!!
Excellent. Such a nice tone too
Thank you very much!
Great job; to the point, quality vid, no frills, excellent tone!
Thanks man
Great lesson. Better than the tab book i bought. You have great tone. Whats your setup?
This is the best lesson on this tune! Thank you!
You’re welcome chief !
Love this. Great sound.
Had this record near the end of school. Didn’t know anyone else who had it. Never saw them but due to their better known modern era singles (still a while after a massive review of Done With Mirrors ‘comeback’ in Kerrang!) people I knew got to.
Yours Aye!
Nailed it!.Nice job.
Thank you so much for making this video. I put this song on the back burner for a long time cause I got frustrated with the tabs that I have used in the past. I will now revisit this awesome song and hopefully be able to play through it. Thanks again for the great video .
Awesome! Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks!
Still one of the best guitarists I know Jon.
Thanks so much
Excellent! Thanks
Love how that song opens.
Just nasty as hell. Greatest Aerosmith track off Rocks, and that's saying a lot.
@rationalmuscle
But getting his tonal textures and heavy gritty overdrive is the challenge in replicating the musical attitude of his and any material. Marshall stacks, reverb. Perry expertly utilizes a great deal of different tones and effects sometimes during a solo. Very unique guitarist. Whitford is very overshadowed and a fine player.
love it ! killer shit right here ! I used to rip this back in the day, I think I'll tune to e flat and get back on it , right now ! thanks bud !
from yer new
sub 🤘
One more cool note (no pun) - Joe playing the G in the bridge then the Gb - very fucking gool
Wow! Good job. Great song!
Thanks for tuning in!
gracias mano
thx!
I can't remember which song off Van Halen 1, but I think this is where Eddy got the riff.
Nice work and tone! Is that a Fender Excelsior Pawn Shop amp?
Yeah it is! I like this amp - it’s funky!
forgot to mention, beautiful Tele...
Thanks a lot!
Do you happen to know what guitars Joe and Brad were using on this track ?..........Thank you.
I’m not sure. They used so many different guitars and amps over the years. I’d love to find out though!
Couldn't have been anything newer than 1976. Guess why?
Proto grunge
so slow
Instead of hitting the A on the 5th fret, play the open A 5th string......
I hate to tell you but you're playing the main riff incorrectly. Need to take a look at some of the other videos out there to get it right before you teach people the wrong way please.
