My daughter is 15 years old, 11 years post-Fontan and was recently diagnosed with Heart Failure. I have looked for videos of people with Fontans for quite awhile. I’m so happy to have found you! We just started a channel to share her story as well, hoping to bring hope to others.

My daughter has almost the exact same conditions she underwent her second surgery 2 weeks ago. She is 7months old. The Fontan is planned for when she is 3-4yrs old. I am so happy to have found your page!

Liked and subscribed. I am a 41 year old CHD survivor. I was born with TGA. I had my first open heart surgery at 4 months old. I had the Mustard procedure. I have a AICD now. I will one day need a heart transplant but for now I am stable 💜 My husband and I are foster parents. Our first placement was a 7 week old baby boy born with HLHS. We have since adopted him and he just had his 3rd open heart surgery, the Fontan in July. He is doing great and we are truly blessed with him. Thank you for sharing your story and I look forward to watching more videos! You are spreading much needed awareness and hope!

It's always cool to see someone with CHD become a medical professional themselves! Having CHD makes you that much more knowledgeable & skilled to know it from both sides. I'm an echosonographer & look forward to your videos!💙

    Hi from the Czech republic.
In some previous comments I mntioned one comment I cannot find (maybe I wrote it but did not send it by mistake - or I don't know why), so I have to write it again.
Currently (almost five years) I work as orderly on adult cardiologic standard ward in teaching hospital in Prague (but I worked also on orthopedic operation rooms, oncology and hepatology/gastro-enterology - and also in social services). I am going to take exams to work as caretaker (it shall happen in October of this year). My teammates are ready to help me if needed (in case of acute problems) and my cardiologist works on ICU that is next-door ward. But hospital where I work is not the same where I passed my heart surgery.
I am 42 years old. And I had TOF corrected by closing of VSD and infundibuloplastics.
When I saw "Fontan", I remembered it is about one ventricle - but I had to open book (about congenital heart diseases in adult age; I bought some time ago) to see what exactly it is about.
Running is not for me (however, sometimes I have to run in work, if needed), but I like long walks and rides on bicycle. Recently I rode sixty five kilometers in two days. But once I did also ride long more than 80 kilometers (but, well, it took very long time) in one day. However, I have to pass many climbings on foot, not on bike - because they are very steep (most of them from 10 to 15 percent) and long (3 or more kilometers).
And else, your videos are very interesting and have unique quality. Many people do videos about their health, but most ones I could see (before your ones) were about "What happened to me, I am so poor" or so - but I don't feel anything like that from your videos. Well, what I feel from your videos is "It happened, maybe video about it would be very useful for other people, so let's talk about it - as professionally as possible, but not so much to discourage anyone from watching". Experience and education of nurse together. And I am very critic to anything (hard to say why; perhaps it is based on my high school education that is very technical - but I am not sure, really).
    Good luck with next videos.
