You really described exactly what I went through. I know the doctors and nurses explained everything but I was so out of it I could hardly remember what they said. You have really brought this altogether for me and I thank you so much.

I just went through this for the past 3 weeks in the hospital. Had all the same test done and like yours mine was “questionable “. They found out via hida scan and determined that my gallbladder wasn’t working. Had it removed a day ago. This recovery is brutal. Had five holes in me. It’s a long road, and very painful recovery but will be worth it in the end

Feeling amazing now. All of the issues I was having before getting it removed are gone. My diet has changed. I no longer eat fried foods or a lot of fatty foods. Since surgery I’ve switch to a blue zone diet, or for the most part a pescatarian diet. And I’ve never felt better also spending lots of time in the gym. I have notice as well that since my gallbladder was removed I e found it easier for me to gain weight which is something that has always been very hard for me because of a high metabolism. Not sure if that’s is common after surgery or not, but my metabolism has slowed down and I’ve been able to gain a healthy weight and easily maintain it. I hope this helps.

Dental pain can be far worse (like 3 wisdom teeth out in the chair), and a torn / dislocation on a joint, but biliary colic can be right up there, and possibly similar levels to kidney stone pain. Different types of pain though. Once the gallbladder is out, you never have to face gallstone related pain ever again so that is a big plus. If you've had a spinal injury that has affected nerves etc. pain can shift around and be really indistinct as to the location which gets frustrating and confusing.

Thank you for your video. I just went through the gallbladder maze myself. 10 years of back pain which led to gallbladder attacks that felt like heart attacks. Did Ultrasound, multiple blood labs and I.v./g.I. Cat scan all which came back normal. I was unable to eat for about a 6 week period (ensure clear, ensure almost exclusively) finally they ran HIDA scan and it showed gallbladder operating at 0%. Just had it removed 4 days ago. Pathology report said Chronic Cholecystitis. Thank goodness I did the HIDA test. Now just looking forward to hopefully feeling good again.

I experienced this this past Saturday night . Had the same tests . They were questioning if I should do a HIDA scan or not . I remained in the ER the whole time. They decided not to do the HIDA scan and go straight to surgery.

Mine was 7% functional. No gallstones. Had pain, bloating, gastric reflux, diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, constipation, and had yellow and white stool. Had this for 3 years and was misdiagnosed and gaslighted by doctors. Finally i fought for a hida scan and it came back as Gallbladder dysfunction (Failure). 7% function! Lol
I tried everything to stop it and manage the symptoms with limited results. Cbd oil, Curcumin, NAC and gastritis supplements helped a lot.
I feel i have no choice but get it out. My surgery is this friday.. i hope everything works out and i have a good recovery.

Left the ER because they mentioned this surgery, they said it had to be done. Wrong, I’ve lived 20 years with gallbladder issues, I’m sure I’ll die with them. My gallbladder is infected or something, I’ll just take antibiotics and I’ll be fine.
