I’ve never understood poor quality surveillance cameras… especially in a bank! Insurance companies should not insure unless security cameras are ample and of highest quality… or else, what’s the point?
If I were an insurance company, I would not insure otherwise. Imagine that you get a discount on your car insurance because you have an anti-theft device… the car gets stolen and once found they discover there’s no such device… “not insured”… period. Bank or store gets robbed and you have a completely useless security cam?…. Not insured for theft. That’s my strict way of thinking, sorry.
I was wondering that since back when the logical explanation still was that a decent camera was too expensive, but these days, (I think) it probably is more about the size of the footage, since even the hardware you have for private household systems has better image quality now. Somewhere they need to store all of that footage, and storing loads of video files you probably won`t ever need is a costly affair, also hq video is still way bigger than whatever they got there. Most smaller stores only keep the footage for a month or so, for exactly that reason.
As a True Crime fan who has seen MANY FBI cases, this was the Worst Performance by G-Men that I've ever seen. 1) They trace the get away car to Las Vegas, then Wyoming and then back to Albuquerque, so there is a VERY Good Chance that they have the right car. 2) Yet when Chubbuck's wife tells them that many of her relatives often "borrow" her car without her knowledge, they just say "Thank You" and walk away ??? 3) The FBI then lets this guy get away with umpteen more robberies and Just WAIT Until The Wife Calls Them to come over so she can snitch on her husband ??? You don't need a PhD in Common Sense to figure out that as soon as the wife says other relatives use her car that the BEST Way To Go would be to start investigating and interviewing all those in her social circle. Since Chubbuck was her husband, they wouldn't have far to go, especially because he has a record for violent crime. I must make myself believe that the producers of this video just BLEW IT Badly somehow and maybe left out a critical detail, because there is NO Way that G-Men would just walk away from an OBVIOUS Lead like that one. NO Way !!!
They should've called Kendall the homicide detectives ROBBINg the Hood nearly took out 2 feds and a pregnant woman I'm sure he'd been down for it Hoping for another kill of his own.
That's funny I was watching a video about overlays of pictures you can overlay any photo and they almost always match . I did mine and i matched Billy the kid 🥺
21:30 Great to see the FBI agent just letting rip into his surroundings without identifying his target, especially with a pregnant woman in the house. Very reassuring.
Any gunfighter can tell you what these agents did was laughable. 2 v 1 and they had the drop on him, they were terrified and ran into another room, started blind firing through the wall, clip the pregnant woman in the process and then claim god must have intervened... Then they were too scared to leave the room and waited for 16 more friends to show up. Take away the badges and titles all that and see how that sounds. To me it sounds like these gentlemen need a lot more CQB training and a psych eval because that level of fear and inexperience is how innocent people get killed.
I cant believe they made informant go back when they said it was time to get out! It is not as if anything changed since he was last at mobile home.Same spun out people were inside.
...well, we 2 could have a few interesting discussions, I am sure, but I will totally ignore your avatar name for now, and instead I wanna talk about what you just said there. I almost can`t fault you after watching that video myself. They try to hammer that "he is dangerous" point home again and again, so often, at times I almost believed it myself. Still, it is and remains total bs! Ever stopped to think why nobody was hurt? From where I`m standing, I only see a guy who likes stealing money. That is not a danger in and of itself! You want proof? He let go a witness, knowing perfectly well she was 100% able and willing to run straight to the cops and identify him. Still he still let that woman, the one whom he had carjacked go. If he was so violent, and addicted to lord knows what, and the only thing he cared about was his freedom, I need you to explain to me why he did not just kill the woman and take her car?

Then one of that household would be caught red-handed robbing banks.
YEA, BIG AMATEUR INDEED, SO SURPRISE THAT THE POLICE NEVER TAUGHT IT WISE TO INTERVIEW ALL THE WOMAN RELATIONS. IMMEDIATELY THE WOMAN WITH THE CAR PLATE NUMBER WAS TRACKED, I KNEW SHE KNOW THE BANK ROBBER
There was a guy in my hometown. Who Robbed the same bank I believe three different times and he did it on the same day of the week exactly at noon time. They never caught him. He turned himself in and when they asked him why you did it, he was saying he wanted to prove that the law enforcement around here is not as smart as him lol He was a a ex-special forces of some sort. But yeah they even said if he didn't turn himself in they would have never found him. They didn't even know who it was who robbed the banks
I live in Albuquerque now grew up in Detroit so I’ve seen my share of crimes. However as of now we are 50% down in police officers we are borrowing state police for help. When go down any street business windows are busted out on a daily basis some gas stations have even closed up with only the pumps working. My bank Bank of the West now locks their doors and you must show ID and your bank card to get inside. The crime here has gone off the rails.

How do you even get there? Just "?" The way they call him a "heavy drug addict" is for the same reason they never fail to call him "dangerous", when he is mentioned. @@ArterialJames1990 Or maybe he lied to her when he said he would be out of town, then spied on her. He went in after the cops and asked where they were?
The girl calls them and has them come over and asks for their help because she feels threatened and then when he comes back home, she alerts him that they’re there. Does she want help or doesn’t she? It was her fault that he pulled out the gun and all that shooting went on. Had he not been alerted, he would’ve walked into the bedroom and they would’ve grabbed him and arrested him.

The main problem is that these FBI guys are just 9 to 5 employees, who really do not care as long as it does'nt happen on their shift, this is why the crims are able to outwit most FBI agents, simply because they are 9 to 5 guys. Law enforcement agencies should be 24 / 7. they should be on any case full time. these guys get paid money for old rope.
Pretty sloppy work. They didn’t watch her 24/7? He was robbing in the woman’s area, and she insisted on meeting the FBI at her home, and says she isn’t afraid?
This was also 20+ years ago…megapixel cameras with better resolution than the old analog ones weren’t widely available until 2002 or so. I imagine the upgrade to new technology was expensive then. I have no idea how banks go about funding this, I suspect it wasn’t a centralized and externally funded service. Now high quality digital surveillance is cheap and everywhere.

I ain’t no genius or nothing but it’s glaringly obvious to me that the solution to stopping bank robberies is right in front of our noses. If the bank managers stop keeping money in the banks then there would be no money for the bank robbers or steal! Keeping large amounts of money in banks is only asking for trouble!
People should keep their money at home under their beds like I do and my parents and my grand parents do.
You’re welcome 😂
Spare no expense to stop someone steal federally insured dollars, but don't lift a finger to stop crimes like child SA from their gymnastics coach. If every FBI agent fell off a cliff today, it would still be a day too late.
Word
...or our public officials.....
Literally they will go off the walls over money but if you're missing get raped murdered domestic violence anything like that the police in general rarely care unless you get to Media attention.
Finally a thinking human with a working brain, I was losing hope here! 😘
I’ve never understood poor quality surveillance cameras… especially in a bank! Insurance companies should not insure unless security cameras are ample and of highest quality… or else, what’s the point?
😆 that’s what I was about to comment. Banks should definitely have top of the line cameras.
Boooo fking hoooo
Seems like this crime happened a long time ago- but surveillance cameras STILL have terrible quality!
NO Way !!!
@Joe Kulik....maybe they're all too closely related in that state......😬
Maybe they were low on electrolytes that day…

I re watched the video absolutely crazy she should have sued them she came a hair from being hit in the head clipped the hair on her head .

I totally agree and the cop seemed proud unbelievable 😡
Any gunfighter can tell you what these agents did was laughable.
2 v 1 and they had the drop on him, they were terrified and ran into another room, started blind firing through the wall, clip the pregnant woman in the process and then claim god must have intervened... Then they were too scared to leave the room and waited for 16 more friends to show up.
Take away the badges and titles all that and see how that sounds. To me it sounds like these gentlemen need a lot more CQB training and a psych eval because that level of fear and inexperience is how innocent people get killed.

As violent as this was, I’m surprised no one died. Great story though.
...well, we 2 could have a few interesting discussions, I am sure, but I will totally ignore your avatar name for now, and instead I wanna talk about what you just said there.
@@MrSocko-bh1jb New Mexican police are disgusting so, no surprise there.
@@coreym162 All police are disgusting. But usually they at least lie..., ahm, I mean of course try, to not look biased, dishonest and straight up evil, even tho we all know they are all of that and sometimes even way more. (stupid, useless and corrupt come to mind for example) 🤐
@@MrSocko-bh1jb I am also going to ignore your name and for the most part I was agreeing with your statement, but after watching the video multiple times, even sometimes on slow-motion, I noticed a few things that makes very little sense... For example, the police officer said the cameras were of bad quality and they couldn't see the suspect's face. The problem is that we just saw his face a few seconds ago and he was pretty easy to recognize! I'm starting to think this is fake and they are all paid actors...
@@Reth_Hard It is kind of weird at points, I give you that. Who knows, maybe it is all fake news. Would at least kind of fit/explain the totally biased way the story is framed...
Having watched many real true crime videos, this police department was weak and amateur. If it was me, I would have put surveillance on the first car that was suspicious, and the lady's relative (as she said herself that one of her relatives drove the car, but she doesn't know who).
That's because the police departments are full of low IQ individuals, they don't even have common sense.
Yep, I don't know anyone who can honestly say, "I don't know who was driving my car yesterday. A lot of my family members borrow it." 🤦♀️😂
