@@SilentTM I don't think you realize how much Felix has improved in recent months. The quality of his opponents have all been quite high for ITF quali level. Slump for example is playing at top 600/700 level. He's getting better at a great rate right now
@@punpun2773 if the final career goal is to get 1 atp point, maybe. But he has said before he would like to attempt top 100. He would need to be winning ITF qualies easily at this point for that goal.
@@tennisbrothers no offense intended! Just have a ton of friends who tried pro careers and usually by the time a player is 18 they have a good idea of how far they can get! If this is just for fun and for youtube, f it!
Top 100 is another breed...He could play top 400 which is already really impressive. He's got the technique and the physicality for the top 100 but he's still a bit too passive for those levels...IMO....check out Jules Marie who was an ex 228 ATP and is coming back at those levels after 2 years of hard work and the money from his followers...he plays way faster than Felix and is a better player and he's still away from the top 100.@@SilentTM
Congrats on the atp and if you can I think we would all love if you posted more often Instead of once a week but if possible but besides the point congrats man your deserve it.
All your hardwork has finally payed off. All those matches that you've played, all the ups and downs in your journey since all the way back at your 1st video of these series till now have finally led to this moment. Congrats Felix and I hope thats the 1st of many more ATP points to come.
Felix have played this week tournament in Monastir, where he won his first ATP point. The matches from this video were played month ago so i guess he'll upload the video from Monastir in October
Keep working hard Felix. Don't give up too early in the match, you have the potential to win any game. Keep doing what you're doing. You inspire me a lot to play better tennis.
Really do not want to spoil but want to congratulate on what you have just achieved,🤩 the progress is sooo visible and we all believe that you have what it takes and hope you keep going further as you are soooo good!🤩 Go Felix!🙌 Only way is up!😆
Great camera angle Felix, I personally really like the one from side of the court, that really get a good sense of the pace and depth of the shots. Good luck with your journey!
I remember the first time I saw you play, the only thing I could think was "this guy should really focus on this surface". I think I said something along the lines of "you are posting these matches where you are struggling on faster surfaces but all this time you were actually a beast on clay" in a post. It is good to see that the clay prowess is more and more evident as time goes on.
Great first match. I know you didn’t feel you played well but what a great battle in the second set. Great players are defined not by wins on good days, but based on whether they can win on a bad day.
Stijn is from the netherlands just like me and one of the main reasons he won is because it rains 90% of the time in the netherlands so he must have way more expierence with playing in rain
Stijn has a solid backhand. Honestly though with the rain like that they should have suspended play. Seen sessions stopped for these exact conditions..
@@ronm7114 Not always but have heard of what you have described. The worst I ever had it was when it was becoming sludge-like but never played with any puddles forming. It should be like RG when there is more than bits of rain the play is suspended
as you said, you needed a quick win in the first game to have a good chance in the second. I thought you did pretty well in that game given how tired you must have been.
random question, how is travelling around Europe with big racket bag? do they allow you to take it as hand luggage? if it has to go in hold, does it mess up the rackats and strings? thanks!
Hi, Felix. I would like to know out of curiosity how many ATP points you enter the ranking with, I already saw that you won an ATP point, I am happy and I hope that one day you enter the ATP ranking, greetings.
Congratulations 🎉 regarding your shot selection. So many of your shots land on a really confirtable height for your opponent. Have you tried more height? It makes returning the shot so much harder.
Just to illustrate: 13:18 returning your shots must have felt great for your opponent. No matter the force you put in these shots, they can be played back effortlessly. No way you win such a point.
I think you're being a bit hard on yourself Felix. You were saying you weren't playing your best tennis, and maybe that's true, but sometimes you can only play as well as your opponent lets you. To be fair, as you know, Stijn is a UTR 13, and up until pretty recently, you were still a UTR 11 (and now you're a 12 - yay!). I'm looking forward to seeing your next video on Monastir. 😀😀😀👍👍👍
Hi Felix, congratulations on your performance throughout the futures tournaments! You move really well and have and strike the ball very well. I am a 9.5 UTR player from Australia who has recently moved onto the junior ITF tour winning my first points last week. I aspire to one day play on the mens ITF circuit like you do and would like to know more about the tournaments you participate in. Do you get an ATP point from making it to a certain point in qualifying? Or do you just get a mens ITF ranking?
1st match, you played awesome and beat a guy who frankly is a bit better than you. But you outplayed him that day and that's what matters. 2nd match, that dude was oppressive. Like every shot he hit from the baseline was meant to take over the point construction. His inside-in FH was stupid good. Not much you could do on that day, being a bit gassed. You're hitting great dude. Like really good. Respect.
Dude, good effort in many respects, However you really need the help of a Coach/Psychologist to help your mind to understand how to think as a Pro. Don’t get me wrong I spent One whole year losing 1st Round Qualies before breaking through to start winning points each circuit. So stick at it and keep trying to learn. Some of the things you say on your Videos are a bit Crazy and they show why you are not ranked But you have to start somewhere!! I was late too, did not get ranked until 19 years old and that first year between Juniors and Seniors was tough on ITF’s
Wow Stijn has incredible spin. I feel like you don’t see one handers that deadly often. His placement was great too.
They are around you just need to watch more matches or go to futures, challengers
I will note Stijn's backhand is somewhat unique though. Its a bit like Gasquet and Wawrinka's but its also just different
Thanks Man!
@@stijn1913yooooo. Cool to see you watch the other perspective of the match!
Dude some of the points I saw u play in this video we’re absolutely insane, a year ago u were still good but the progress is very visible man
Congrats Felix you're doing a great job. Stay on the run dude, hard work pays off. Let's go!
All these players are putting in hard work. At some point you have to ask why things are not moving forward faster.

your level has greatly improved since i last watched one of your vlogs.
Really liked the camera angles of the first match. Shows how fast the balls actually go.
I like the angle of the game against Ruben. It really shows the height and speed of the balls.
Good stuff, Felix! Congrats on your 1st one! You did so good🎉🎉🎉

Your day is coming, Man! You’ve got a lot of the internet rooting for you!
This achievement is amazing felix! It’s what you’ve been working towards! Now you need to change the titles or your series 😂
it just goes to show how tough and brutal tennis is at the higher levels. Battling it out for hours with only a couple of people watching!
Great camera angle Felix, I personally really like the one from side of the court, that really get a good sense of the pace and depth of the shots. Good luck with your journey!
You both played really well, it was a good game to lose. Well done Felix, you are doing a great job. Love from Brussels.
you're playing great - such a difference to even just a year ago!
11:35 this return is amazing
I'm seeing a huge improvement in strategy, every ball has a purpose now. keep it up

thats cool, you can actually see your results now on quite a few platforms.
Congrats.

The fact your journey is continuing with me is mind blowing to me
congratulations on the great progrss Felix, so well deserved!!
I enjoy a lot to know how is a routine in a future pro tennis player.. keep going man. greetings from colombia
loving the camera angle, being a bit further away let's you comprehend the tempo and level of tennis a bit better!

wow your returns were so good. love the compact swing when you get jammed/on the run. have you ever thought about dropping your tension down 1-2 lbs?
Congratulations bro I saw it on instagram you deserve it. I also saw that you’re a 12 utr now so great work can’t wait to see your road to 13.

Stijn has such a very crazy spin there 😅😅

but not only that he had 500% spin

Amazing work man!
Keep up the good content bro 🔥🔥
love the mentality!!
Congrats on your first atp singles point
God forbid one of these challenger tournament directors would grant you a WC even to the qualifying… would be most watched match on the challenger tv
