I actually went to Ingles yesterday and they are running a sale on all pork so I grabbed some pork cubed steaks. Wish me luck 🤞... I'm looking forward to cooking them and I plan to cook them in the egg, flour and seasonings as you did and used in this video. I hope they turn out as great 😃... Thanks for sharing all of your secrets and recipes with us.. We truly cherish them as u do. I have learned a lot from you and you cook just like my southern granny. There's nothing more special than sharing and passing down family recipes. I would love to see you compete in a Southern Home Cooking Showdown on Netflix. 😊 I truly believe you will blow away the Judges with ur Mama's Southern cooking recipes and you will win 🎉 the title.

I love your method of measuring, it's the same way I do it ... *"your guess is as good as mine!"* I don't measure most things, I just "that looks about right"! - I also like your old school philosophy ... Valentines Day stuff out already, it's only Dec. 27th! Christmas stuff out before Halloween? Ridiculous, I refuse to even look at it! -- As far as recipes go ... I'll read a few, and/or watch a few videos to get the idea, then just do it "my way". -- Good job Karren, keep up the good work! :)

I'm going to try your method of breading the cubed pork with bread crumbs instead of using just flour. I was excited to see your package of corn because we put it up the same way. We blanch the ears and then cut the corn off the cob and then vacuum seal it. It is as you say as good as when it was cut from the cob! Love watching you.

My grandmother used to make these and I had almost forgotten about them! Now I can get some pork if I ever get another caregiver to get me out of the house and enjoy them again!

For people who've never seen cubed pork in their area and who don't make it themselves like I do with a needle machine. You can always ask the butcher even at Walmart or any store that sells meat to cube you some pork for breaded pork steak. :-)

Great video, just seeing this today on March 3, 2022. Have a pack of pork cubed steaks in my fridge, I am gonna make them chicken parmesan style for my family tonight. Cubed steak of any kind was always one of my favorite meals as a kid growing up. Salud!

It's called chicken fried steak because it is breaded like chicken is when you fry chicken. That's the answer from the old days anyway because people would beat less tender cuts of meat and bread it like they did their frying chicken to make it tasty. :-)

I love how you cook! I do the same thing with plastic wrap! Your hamburger soup recipe was so good! Hubby loved it! I am making this tonight but I am using the drippings to make my tomato gravy with it. I have never put cheese in my egg but I'm trying! Thanks keep up the good cooking. You are so relatable and love to watch you!

My grandmother raised me and I remember she cooked those a lot and gosh they were good. I also unfortunately cook with the philosophy of pinch dash and splash LOL my friends hate cooking with me

I have a few fancy things well quite a few fancy things because of my disabilities my hands don't function properly and they are in pain constantly. So I have some things to make my life easier in the kitchen. But I never had that stuff until my disabilities got to this point I had a knife and a sharpening stone and a cutting board. Try a spoonful of grainy mustard in your onion gravy it is delicious especially with bangers and mash. I have lived in many countries and I am now back to where I was born and raised in Maine.
