Before Michael Jackson's "Thriller" this was the best selling album of all time. The reason, if one may speak of such things, is simple: every single song is a masterpiece.
Lindsey Buckingham is the most underrated guitarist I have ever heard nobody gives him the credit he wholeheartedly deserves you could nail three strings to a board and he can play a song with it
Your so right, Lindley Buckingham is such and underrated guitarist it's the same with Richard Thompson and John Martyn all very underrated guitarists. It's the same with Mick Fleetwood I don't think her gets the credit her deserves as one of the greats with the sticks
I agree, Matthew. Fleetwood Mac always has had great, great guitarists in the lienup. But what knocks me out the most is that every time Lindsey Buckingham leaves FM, the band replaces him with 2 other guitarists.... Also, I believe in my heart that Lindsey Buckingham should have been a guest on Jack White's It Might Get Loud.
Buckingham is playing a Dobro guitar on this track. This is what sounds "Southern" or somewhat like a "Banjo." It's an acoustic guitar with a steel "resonator" in the body; this generates its unique resonating rasp sound.
The best Dobro player in the world is probably Jerry Douglas. He's a member of Alison Krauss' band "Union Station". React to Alison and Jerry covering James Taylor's "Carolina in My Mind." It's a treat.
Greg, Lyndsey learned to play guitar by listening to John Stewart’s banjo in the Kingston Trio. Christine McVie is the "other" female singer. She is every bit as talented and has a voice that is truly amazing. Her smokey, softly scratchy voice is magical.
Songbird and You Make Loving Fun are my favorite Christine songs. Unfortunately the only time I saw FM live Christine was not able to be there 😕 but still had lots of great 🎶
True story here: when I was a kid my older brothers told my parents that I wanted an 8 track player for Christmas and then told her what tapes I wanted. My mom wrote them down and because there were 5 of us she didn’t have the time to really look at what she bought. I was the only 4th grader with an 8 track player and this album, plus some Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, and Frampton Comes Alive.
Haha, I want to know which Alice Cooper album your mom bought for her innocent little 4th grader. Please tell me it was Billion Dollar Babies! I was 12 when that one came out and was immediately hooked
You hit it on the head when you said it sounded like different songs together. Because that is exactly what this is, and part of why it's called The Chain. Each member brought pieces of their own songs together. Lindsey recycled the intro to his Buckingham Nicks song Lola My Love into the intro of this one. Part of Christine's song Keep Me There that was never fully realized is here. And Stevie contributed her demo The Chain to this as well. The demo version of Chain is really a completely different song (find it on UA-cam) but contains the lyric "I can still here you saying you would never break the chain.".... And that's the title given to this new composition. They pieced and re-pieced this song together soooo many times, it's amazing it turned into something this classic. Another note... Stevie is the predominate voice heard with Lindsey but Christine is doing the soaring harmony above both of them during the "still hear you sayin" part. Honestly their voices blend so well sometimes it hard to differentiate when they all merged together.
The thing that you youngsters will never appreciate is that in the 70's and 80's when these albums came out, we were listening on 800 to 1000 watt stereos that took up an entire wall of our rooms, and rattled the windows of the NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE!
My mom worked in clubs in the south and my daddy played guitar early 80's. My childhood was very loud! Cops called over music several times growing up.
Christie Mcvie has a beautiful voice, too. She sings lead vocals on the Rumors album on the songs ..Oh Daddy , Songbird, Don’t Stop, You Make Loving Fun, as well as backing vocals on many others. The talent in Fleetwood Mac runs deep! Love your reactions…and your family is so lovely.
Christine McVie also sings lead vocals on Rumours, she leads on 'Songbird' probably the most beautiful song on the album. She wrote it too. 'You Make Loving Fun', also fantastic.
Fun Fact: there is a video where they performed this song live. Before going on stage, Stevie and Lindsay had a huge argument and when this song finally came for them play, Lindsay was belting out his part and you could tell Stevie was bothered and just stood there staring at him. They love each other, nonetheless but after Christines passing, they all agreed by bond of blood that if a member passes, they would never play again, a bonded promise to each other.
This whole album was written because of/ amid the turmoil of their relationships. Breakups, adultery, betrayal. It is why this album is one of THE best of all time.
You should do an entire album review on Rumours, that is Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece. There is not a bad song on the album and you get the feel for how the album flows which artists put a lot of stock in at that time. Edge of Seventeen was on Stevie Nicks first solo album. The guitarist is the great Lindsey Buckingham, highly underrated. Go Your Own Way, Songbird, Don't Stop ( great motivational song), Never Going Back Again. Christine McVee also had a phenomenal voice in her own right but doesn't get the credit that Stevie Nicks got.
If you want to hear Christine sing lead you should check out Songbird, Don't Stop, Say You Love Me, Everywhere, Over My Head - all great songs! Next up in general I recommend Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Silver Springs, Secondhand News, Seven Wonders, and Gypsy - some personal faves :)
FLEETWOOD MAC Alone blows all of the 80s out of the water!..and then Add the Eagles, Steely Dan, ABBA Pink Floyd,Queen, Earth, Wind &Fire, The Comodoores, The Ohio Players, Olivia Newton John, . The Brothers, Johnson, Foreigner, Kansas and on and on! The 80s were kinda like the illigiment children of the 70s. But the 70s did let the 80s borrow tons of great music since they couldn't produce much on their own..
Christine McVie was actually part of FM before Stevie joined. She has almost as many lead vocals as Stevie on the early albums. And the arrangements are the byproduct of Buckingham’s obsession with production and perfectionism. He’s highly underrated. Listen to his live solo on Big Love….amazing. Fingerpicking til they bleed.
I saw an interview with Christine from years ago where she discussed Lindsey’s genius with taking lyrics from members of the band and perfecting the music and arrangement. I agree that he has always been sadly underrated.
My favorite FM song. Stevie's long-time boyfriend, guitarist extraordinaire Lindsay Buckingham, sings lead on this. The song is about how the music (the chain) holds them all together.
People seem to forget that Fleetwood Mac began as a blues/rock group with Peter Green as lead guitarist. Check out "Oh Well" "Man of the World", or "The Green Manalishi." The original band's biggest hit was "Albatross" an instrumental in a totally different style.
Also Christine Perfect's career ran in parallel with Fleetwood Mac when she was in the excellent blues outfit Chicken Shack on the Blue Horizon label. The name change of course came later when she married John McVie.
The Chain is one of thier most iconic songs, and, as you're hearing, it's a pure treasure. But I do think you should do one of their songs where Christie McVie's has main vocals. Her voice is very different from Stevie's, but just as phenominal. I'd recommend "You Make Lovin' Fun", "Everywhere", or "Say You Love Me".
This is the most iconic Fleetwood Mac song, The Chain. Take a bow everyone.....for this amazing album. there is no song on Rumours that doesn't meet the highest expectations. Funnily, my personal favourite FM songs are Tusk and Big Love, but Rumours as a whole is out of this world.
Love the costumes. LOL Great song. Stevie Nicks ,Lindsay Buckingham, Christine and John McVie and Mick Fleetwood all have writing credit for this song. The only one on the album (Rumors) that has that. And if you like the harmonizing on this, try 7 Bridges Road from The Eagles.
"Edge Of Seventeen" was **NOT** a Fleetwood Mac song, but a Stevie solo song!! As a bassist, I **LOVED** playing the transition/second half of this song when we would cover it!! - As for Stevie's voice sounding "antique"; she **IS** the "Welsh Witch", and has probably been around for a coupla centuries at least [and will outlast all of us young'uns!].... In my opinion, "The Chain" is about Karma's effect on relationships, as most of the band had been involved with every other member of the band in some way, shape, or form **romantically** for some time, [hence the "chain"] and **THAT** is what led to hit songs like "Landslide", (and Stevie solo hits like "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" or the Buckingham/Nicks collab "Crystal"...!!) and then eventually to the band's breakup--- 'Karma' is the third out of the 'Four Laws of the Universe', and it states that "**everything** is connected to **everything else**"-- the "Chain" that "keeps us together".... Think on this whilst devouring Twizzlers and Skittles and M&M's & Milky Way 'Fun Size' & Jawbreakers from your little angels' Tick or Treat bags (testing them for safety, of course!!) -- Blessed Be, & Peace!!
Thank You for bring up Stevie's Welsh Witch persona! She IS! Also the interconnection of everything "romantic" ie. The Chain- one of my favorites! You mentioned Buckingham/Nicks "Landslide" My top ten songs I got to see them in Denver in the last few years - with Everyone! Stevie was in Rky Mts. & I knew when she said " I don't usually don't do this song but..........this one's for you dad" -Landslide, still makes me cry every tine! I listened to 1973's Buckingham/Nicks naked album cover again for the 1st time in 30+ years last night! I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW MUCH OF A MASTERPIECE IT IS & KNEW EVERY SONG - ALL THE WORDS! I THINK THE VERSION OF CRYSTAL HERE IS THER BEST! Peace!
"I feel like it's TWO different sounds" Bass line: "Hold my beer" Incidentally, the bass line onwards was the theme for formula one racing in the UK. Brings back my childhood.
The Guitar Solo was used by the BBC in the UK with the vocals removed for the Intro to the F1 in the 80's and 90's and later early 2010's. The Early 2010's had a voiceover saying this is Formula One and then The Guitar Solo of this synced with Engines revving
"The Chain" epic guitar solo was used for many years by BBC TV in the UK as the theme for its Formula 1 racing broadcasts, so it was my first intro to it as a kid. Needless to say, I eventually bought the parent "Rumours" CD like many millions did and while that's a great album, after going through their back catalogue, I quickly switched my favourite to the "Tusk" album instead.
"Gold Dust Woman" is another song with the feel of wandering through swamp at night. Stevie sings lead on it. But like others have said you could pick pretty much any song from the Rumours album and have a good time.
Lindsey Buckingham is a great song writer, guitarist and his voice meshes so well with Steveie's. But I love Chrtistine McVie's "whaaaaaaaa" background vocal. Her voice is highly underrated.
Rumors iS PERFECTION THE WHOLE ALBUM!! The story behind making this is tension filled yet collaborating WAS what it was about during the turmoil within the group. What respect!!! And talent!!!!

Both Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie appear throughout Fleetwood Mac songs. Whilst Stevie is predominantly lead vocal and Christine is harmonies, Songbird on the Rumours album is totally Christine, totally gorgeous and totally worth a listen.
Fleetwood Mac has Christine Mc Vie, Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks all singing separately and together in many songs! Rumors album was my teenage and early twenties life! Sooo many memories! Great to share with you for your first time! Awesome!!!
for years they (the BBC) used this tune (staring from the bass-only part) for the F1 coverage theme music, it was so cool and so many of my generation associate that sound with Fromula 1 racing
There were 3 singer-songwriters in FM & throughout it’s longevity til now…lovers, drugs, divorce, pain, friendship…the discography is creatively dynamic and tells beautiful stories…
Pick any song from Rumours and you are not going to be disappointed. A wonderful album that is still sounds as fresh today. It's simply one of the best albums ever!
Lindsay Buckingham singing lead vocals is one of the great finger picker guitarists of our time. For a different vibe try Tusk from Fleetwood Mac. Happy Halloween 🎃
@@jackie_jrml Love Lindsay Buckingham! Saw them ALL is concert in Denver a few years ago. Stevie Dedicated Landslide saying "This is for you, Daddy". I had lost my Dad right before this! ONE of my favorite songs - cried my eyes out!
This is just one of the best rock albums ever created. Every tune rocks and is timeless. Never tire of hearing it. (oh, oops, it seems everyone below feels the same way)
This song ROCKS!!! John's bass line to Lindsey's guitar joining in. CLASSIC! Myu interpretation of this particular song is despite the inner turmoil this band has gone through, their dedication to making it work is what The Chain is all about.
Guys, Fleetwood Mac had a couple of difference lineups. The lineup that had the most success which you are listening to is comprised of Christie Vie, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood. Lindsay, Christie and Stevie all shared lead vocals. Edge of Seventeen was NOT Fleetwood Mac, that was from Stevie's solo album. Her 1st solo effort I believe.
Exactly! It's been explained to them multiple times about this lineup having 3 "lead" singers. I can only hope that it's because they listen to so much that they just keep forgetting....lol
@@darbysharpe1900 I think they maybe get through 20 percent of the comments. If they read every comment they would have no life except doing UA-cam videos. :)
"Don't stop" by Fleetwood Mac. I love Christine's piano playing on this track. If you watch old Westerns, it sounds like the typical piano playing you would hear in the saloons.
Christine played keyboard and back up vocals on rumors. Y’all should def pull up some of their live stuff on UA-cam. Lindsey on that guitar….one of the best.
hearing Lindsey on the guitar was the absolute highlight of seeing them in concert for me. Hearing their voices was nice, but his guitar only got better over the years.
I feel so blessed to have grown up in the 70's and in a time when we were hearing all kinds of music. Coming from Brooklyn, NY, and having friends who were open to new things....Fleetwood Mac's Rumours was big. I'm so glad that you are enjoying this.
Let me just say, Lindsay buckingham was always an underrated lead guitarist!!! Just watch him live, it’s amazing how fast he plays that thing. Rock on!!¡
Lindsey, Stevie, and Christine all sing lead vocals on various songs on the Rumors album. Christine sings lead on Don't stop along with Lindsey, Song Bird, You Make Loving Fun, and Oh Daddy.
Yes! One of my favorite Fleetwood songs! You should also react to “Gold Dust Woman” I saw them live a couple years ago when the original line up got back together and they were still sooo good!
You two bring so much joy to my life...the Amber Sway was in full effect for this one and Jay you were vibing. This is one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs and to see you two enjoying it so much made my day yet again.
This is my favorite FWM song. That simple southern deep marsh woods sound in the beginning to it evolving into a mysterious and mystical magical tune. Held together, like a spine, by that one tone, so strong yet so deeply hidden in the song that I bet most people miss hearing that it is one continuous tone.
Love Fleetwood Mac! yes this is Stevie and Lindsay though you can hear Christine McVie harmonizing in the back. You guys should check out something that Christine leads like "Everywhere" or "You Make Loving Fun". Another good Lindsay lead song is "So Afraid"... great guitar work on that one.
I just love you guys! You really make my day and I would rather binge watch your videos than go to work! I don't remember the first video I watched, but you two are so adorable and so sweet! I'm so happy to have found this channel and just enjoy seeing if you react to these songs similar to like the first time I heard them. There have even been a few occasions where it is the first time I've heard a song and we are listening to it for the first time together! I really enjoy it and your costumes are so darn cute! Love you guys! You definitely make me smile!
My parents had to buy me this album twice cause I played it so much the lines on the record wore down! Still in my lifetime this is the only album where I love each and every song! I also LOVE “Sara” (not on Rumors) and my all time favorite song “RHIANNON!” 🔥
Fleetwood Mac could fall down a flight of stairs and it would sound awesome. Their harmony is superb. So is their instrumentation. Imo, this is one of the greatest songs and greatest albums and greatest groups of all time. Wish I had caught them live in concert. Other greats: Never going back again, Second hand news, Say you love me (preferably live with Lindsay rocking the banjo and the “ooo la la la” harmony), and Tusk, which shows how original and creative they could be, and why they would sound awesome even falling down the stairs.
There’s something about the way Rumours was recorded & mixed that makes it sound like you are in the room with them. No other album has ever had that same quality for me.
Part of it is the magic of where it was recorded, in the "Sound City" studio for sure... if you haven't watched Dave Grohl's doc on it, highly recommend. The uniqueness of an analog board and some of the brilliance of Rupert Neve who designed that and a number of studio consoles of the era.
@@danjmcs actually it was their first album that they recorded after Lindsey and Stevie joined the band (self titled white album) that was recorded at Sound City. Rumours was recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito CA. Look that place up, there has been a ton of great music recorded there as well!!
For me this is the greatest song off the greatest album of all time. I am a massive music fan and love so many songs it’s always a difficult thing to call but my grandmother played this song for me when I was about 5 and it’s probably the song that made me realise how special music can be.
The nicest duo in reaction-land! That little smile before the bass kick-in gave you away, but who cares, you're both so damned personable! Congrats with the channel - I wish you guys all the best.
I strongly recommend the song that got me hooked on Fleetwood Mac back in 1973 (pre Stevie Nicks) called “Hypnotized” off their Mystery To Me Album. Also on the flip side of “For Your Love” another big hit for them. The backing vocals of Christine McVie clearly adding some smoke to this supernatural tall tail vibe song.
Y'all are so cute! Lovin' the look! The Rumors Album, that this song came from, was a major part of my high school soundtrack, along with ELO, the Eagles and Steve Miller Band. This video has plastered a huge smile on my face! :)

After seeing Fleetwood Live many moons ago, the best way I can describe Stevie Nicks voice? "It felt like every bone in my body gently shook as she sang 'Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You'. The power and emotion sent shivers throughout my body."
Stevie Nicks sings lead on most of the album along with Lindsay Buckingham. Christine McVie sings lead on the songs Songbird and Oh Daddy. God Dust Woman is a phenomenal song with leads by Stevie. By the way, Edge of Seventeen was Stevie Nicks solo without the group.
One of the best Stevie songs ever recorded during the Rumors sessions “Silver Springs”. At the last minute Mick cut it from the album so that the song distribution between the 3 main song writers would be somewhat even. You should check it out on a Female Friday it is all Stevie.
The version of Silver Spring that is an absolute MUST is the live version from The Dance, a reunion concert show. Watching Stevie and Lindsey stare into each other’s eyes at the crescendo is emotionally powerful.
One of my favorite songs of all time period. When it was used in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, brought me to tears, for real. Family, life long friends, lovers are priceless.
Thanks so much for making the time to discover all this music from the past. There really is a whole lot of excellent music from the '60s, '70s, '80s and even the '90s out there! And I'm really glad to see you are turning your kids onto it as well. 😃

The Brothers, Johnson, Foreigner, Kansas and on and on! The 80s were kinda like the illigiment children of the 70s. But the 70s did let the 80s borrow tons of great music since they couldn't produce much on their own..
She also sings Little Lies , don't remember the album, and Edge of Seventeen isn't Fleetwood Macs, it Stevies solo album Bella Donna
Don't forget You Make Loving Fun ;)
Warm ways
As long as you follow
That blistering guitar solo by Lindsay Buckingham at the end? He did it with NO PICK! He doesn't use guitar picks. What an amazing solo!
Green was the mastermind.... genius
And of course the original version of "Black Magic Woman", later made famous by the Santana cover version.
I haven't forgotten! Their early hits such as the one's you have mentioned are wonderful. Early Fleetwood Mac songs great too.
Hypnotized is another great tune from early Fleetwood Mac.
Everywhere is one of my absolute favorites!
My favourite of christies is Songbird
Everywhere is one of my all time favourites.
@@TheChick24 SNAP! :D
Warm ways.
Their songs are filled with beautiful imagery.
Tusk is my absolute 2nd
Mate. As fucking great as The Chain is, You Can Go Your Own Way is absolutely their most iconic.
@@SchwarzeWitwe2 Maybe the most most iconic :-)
The Chain is most known as the theme for Formula One, but Go Your Own Way is the most famous.
The most iconic after Dreams and Rhiannon.
Love the costumes. LOL
Great song.
Peace!
@Zane Thind Thank You!
@Zane Thind Thanks again, Zane! You're so nice!
"I feel like it's TWO different sounds"
Bass line: "Hold my beer"
Incidentally, the bass line onwards was the theme for formula one racing in the UK.
Brings back my childhood.
I remember that!
That bass solo still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it
This song has a special place for me as here in the UK, the end bass bit, was the end credits for the Formula 1 racing!! Love it!
remember it well, the nineties, Murray walker, etc..great stuff!
@@ilnuovoredibastoni- 80s as well.

This is the reason I can’t play this track in the car….I’m not sure the police would think it a viable excuse for speeding 🤣
6:45 to 7:30 That was Formula 1 for me - miss it every time now it is not there. Iconic.
When I listen to Fleetwood Mac Rumours, it’s always front to back.
One of the all time GREATEST albums
"Gold Dust Woman" is another song with the feel of wandering through swamp at night. Stevie sings lead on it. But like others have said you could pick pretty much any song from the Rumours album and have a good time.
I agree. "Gold Dust Woman" has that special feel with Stevie weaving here magic
This is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. LOVE IT!
Lindsey Buckingham is a great song writer, guitarist and his voice meshes so well with Steveie's. But I love Chrtistine McVie's "whaaaaaaaa" background vocal. Her voice is highly underrated.
My husband and I always say this. Stevie’s voice is unique and great, but I really prefer Christine McVie’s!
💯
"Her voice is highly underrated"? By whom? What a dumb comment!
Rumors iS PERFECTION THE WHOLE ALBUM!! The story behind making this is tension filled yet collaborating WAS what it was about during the turmoil within the group. What respect!!! And talent!!!!
was a teen in the 60's, so good to see young people enjoying and keeping the old music alive
I was born in 66 but have always loved the music from the late 60's

@@tammyblackwell499 yeah I can't stand the crap out now days . i grew up in the Dallas area had great radio stations until the end of the 90's
Both Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie appear throughout Fleetwood Mac songs. Whilst Stevie is predominantly lead vocal and Christine is harmonies, Songbird on the Rumours album is totally Christine, totally gorgeous and totally worth a listen.
Hold me also has Mrs McVie as prominent singer and is awesome song.
"Say You Love Me", written and sung by Christine, is another great track on "Rumours".
Oh daddy is my favourite Christine song. Personally Christine will always be better than Stevie
Songbird is a beautiful song, Christine McVie is so underrated, but such an integral part of the band
Completely agree I just stated that and then saw your comment. I prefer Christine on both counts plus she could play an instrument.
Jay bopping to the drums and Amber swaying to the melody never gets old. I wonder if that difference adds to channels greatness.
Fleetwood Mac has Christine Mc Vie, Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks all singing separately and together in many songs! Rumors album was my teenage and early twenties life! Sooo many memories! Great to share with you for your first time! Awesome!!!
"Go Your Own Way" and "Second Hand News" are just two of the other great songs from the Rumours album.
Don't forget "Silver Springs" which should have made the album, but there was no room. Criminal!
BOTH by Lindsey and not Stevie. Stevie's whole mission in life right now is to make the band known only as HER. She's turned into an EGO MANIAC
@@pauldevito7476great song
We went crazy for this album at the time. Sounded like nothing else.
for years they (the BBC) used this tune (staring from the bass-only part) for the F1 coverage theme music, it was so cool and so many of my generation associate that sound with Fromula 1 racing
It was a couple of decades later when I realised whose music they had actually used!
@@benabel7326 yeah, same for me
And for cricket, the BBC used 'Soul Limbo' by Booker T. and the MGs. Whereas when Channel 5 had the cricket coverage they used 'Mambo No.5'
Well they are an English band!
I am a true old hippie 70 years old from Cali. I dig your videos and these costumes are groovy ! Peace,Love and Aloha from Hawaii
There were 3 singer-songwriters in FM & throughout it’s longevity til now…lovers, drugs, divorce, pain, friendship…the discography is creatively dynamic and tells beautiful stories…
This song is the only song credited to every band member actually
Pick any song from Rumours and you are not going to be disappointed. A wonderful album that is still sounds as fresh today. It's simply one of the best albums ever!
That bass sounds so much like the theme song to the 70s tv show BARNY MILLER , Give it a try here on UA-cam
Lindsay Buckingham singing lead vocals is one of the great finger picker guitarists of our time.
For a different vibe try Tusk from Fleetwood Mac.
Happy Halloween 🎃
Yes!!!! Thank you. Yes. He is seriously so good!!

After all these years, I still got chills!
Exactly. And they were a much different group before Buckingham and Nicks joined. They were a much more blues and blues rock oriented group.
RIP Peter Green✌️💗😊
A couple of different line ups?!!! More like a dozen over the years!
One of the best albums ever made!!!!
I can't get over how good they both look in this style.
Christine's backing vocals and organ are iconic.
@@tikneshiabeauford7289 “songbird” my favorite, especially live 🦋
There are times when Lindsey's guitar sounds just give you goosebumps.
hearing Lindsey on the guitar was the absolute highlight of seeing them in concert for me. Hearing their voices was nice, but his guitar only got better over the years.
The core of the tune started with a Christine M tune that EVERYONE added to. Probably the most shared authorship of any FM song.
I feel so blessed to have grown up in the 70's and in a time when we were hearing all kinds of music. Coming from Brooklyn, NY, and having friends who were open to new things....Fleetwood Mac's Rumours was big. I'm so glad that you are enjoying this.
"Go Your Own Way" My favorite Fleetwood Mac Song. However, I like them all.
Christine McVie sings "Songbird", "You Make Loving Fun" and "Oh Daddy" on the Rumors album.
Best hippies I've seen and I was around in the 60s.......
Ha im first. All time classic. Thanks guys happy hippie Halloween
The intricacy, and the harmony is unparalleled even to this day
She has a great perception of the unique and multiple dynamics found within this song. Superb!
You guys bring so much joy to my life! I love the positivity y'all make me feel. Thank you for your channel, truly.
If you want to hear Christine McVie's lead singing, I'd suggest Oh Daddy or Songbird from the Rumours album. She has such a good voice.
I have this on vinyl and still sounds amazing
"You Can Go Your Own Way" is my fav from Fleetwood Mac. Great group!
They are even more awesome Live!!! Lindsey Buckingham is a Mastermind….
Fleetwood Mac are actually English. Founded in London England by Mick Fleetwood and John McVie.

Hippies unite!
My parents had to buy me this album twice cause I played it so much the lines on the record wore down! Still in my lifetime this is the only album where I love each and every song! I also LOVE “Sara” (not on Rumors) and my all time favorite song “RHIANNON!” 🔥
You are the cutest hippies!!!
And one of my fave song's of Fleetwood Mac. Groovy!
@@NuCkInFuTs1 Thanks Wesley, spot on. Too much music history on the brain, heh.

John McVie's bass is so powerful here. A great pairing with Lindsey Buckingham's driving guitar and voice.
Not to mention Mick Fleetwood's incredible touch on the drums. Between the well placed fills, not overplaying and incredible tempo
This entire album is amazing!
Yes! “Hypnotized” is such a killer song. I think they’d love the jazzy feel of it.
Christie McVie Has An Excellent Voice As Well & This Song Heavily Features Her Vocals,, FLEETWOOD MAC "LITTLE LIES"
Y'all are so cute! Lovin' the look!

After seeing Fleetwood Live many moons ago, the best way I can describe Stevie Nicks voice? "It felt like every bone in my body gently shook as she sang 'Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You'. The power and emotion sent shivers throughout my body."
Ugh. You two are just too adorable!
Everything about this song is amazing - but that percussion... Mick Fleetwood just kills it. Right from the jump with that insistent bass beat.
And luckily they made up for that tragedy by featuring the song later in "The Dance" live show. One of my all time Mac favorites.
Silver Springs my favorite song too. 🤩🤩
You do know that the rock guitar part at the end of The Chain is extremely famous as is used as the theme music to Formula One racing in the UK?
Absolutely iconic.
