    Hey Shawn. I love your vids and have recently subscribed. I think you should consider wiping down where the mice die in/ enter your traps between resets. They often release pheromones that can warn future mice. Also glove while making/ setting them up can Keep your human scent off and they won't be so wary. Keep up the awesome vids!!

    • @SconVideos
      @SconVideos 5 років тому +2

      They're pretty dumb. Even if they see a fellow rat in distress, it will enter the trap anyway

    • @tryingtobarefruitinoldage9878
      @tryingtobarefruitinoldage9878 5 років тому +1

      They are on the cannabel side. Make sure you have wild life that will eat the dead other wise the foul oder atracts more of the same. Another reason to hate the poison. The dead smell so bad. 😣😫😱

    • @ElysetheEevee
      @ElysetheEevee 5 років тому +1

      I don’t think he does that because where he typically sets these up has been in higher traffic areas for humans. It wouldn’t matter in this case, other than maybe the release of chemicals when the mice go into distress. Though, according to his videos, that doesn’t seem to matter either.
      The rats, on the hand. They’ll push weaker rats into suspected traps to test them and if they find its suspicious, will poop and pee all over it to warn other rats away. Rats are the ones you need to watch out for; the mice, not so much.

      To suck up rats you'd need something pretty powerful, like a blower from a dust collector. Depending on which model you get, you may also need to use a 240v outlet which could complicate things. Still doable though.

    Shawn this design is genuinely brilliant. It could easily be developed into some kind of permanent pest management system that could be installed in homes and businesses. It works constantly to mitigate the problem and requires little or no upkeep. If you could find a liquid that would keep the mice from decomposing you would only have to dump it every week or month. Or you could use a taller container with no liquid and add a door that opens once a day and releases the mice into a pipe that runs away from the building.
