Hi Melissa! I wanted to ask if you can use retinoal with the LPR Niacinamide. Would it be to irritating? I have dry and sensitive skin. Loved your video otherwise, thank you! :)
Hmm, it depends on how well you tolerate the retinal. Technically, you can, but it may not be such a good idea if you already have sensitive skin. But ultimately, you need to test it 😉
Hi! Thank you for sharing this! I love your videos! I've been using LA Roche Effaclar serum at night every other day because if I use it every single day it causes me a slight irritation, I'm using their Lipikar Syndet AP+ wash and ISDN fusion Water sunblock and I'm loving the results...I want to incorporare this Niacinamide serum , will it be ok if i use Niacinamide serum during the day and the effaclar serum at night?
Yes, that shouldn't be an issue, but if it is, just use it on the days you are not using the Effaclar serum 🙂
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial thank you ❤️! Kind regards from Panama 🇵🇦
Hi! I have a question, should I have something in mind if I also use retinol redermic? Thank you!
Hey! :)
LRP serums (except for their effaclar) have a thicker texture, that I think it's best to use them individually. Like, use your Niacinamide serum in the AM and Retinol in the PM. However, as I mentioned in the video, I'm not sure how strong the 'exfoliation' ingredient is...it may or may not work. You would need to test. Also, in general, LRP products tend to be gentle skincare products.
Hello Melissa
Can i use effaclar duo + M after applying the serum ?
If your skin tolerates both products individually well, yes, you can try and use them together. :)
Hello Melissa I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I really love your advice, I wanted to add a Niacinamide in my routine but I have a dry sensitive skin and iam struggling with skin texture I tried cerave renewing retinol serum and I got some break down which Niacinamide can you advise me to use Iam a beginner! Thank you looking forward for your reply
Hey! :)
Oh so you've experienced breakouts from CeraVe's Retinol serum?
In that case, have a look at AXIS-Y Glow Serum, that one would be a great option for you :)
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial yea at first when I started using cerave retinol serum I used it every evening for 3 days then I started seeing white tinny bum on face and I stoped using it that’s when I saw your advice of slowly implementing it in the skin care routine! Thank you for your I advice I’ll try it
@@mayelesandrine7544 Do you want to continue with CeraVe's Retinol? If yes, you do not necessarily need a separate Niacinamide serum as the Retinol serum already contains Niacinamide :)
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial yeah I would like to continue trying it but is it normal to get white bumps in the first days of using it ! Thank for your replies I appreciate
@@mayelesandrine7544 Yes, every product that influences skin behavior can cause skin purging, or as I like to put it, the skin needs some time to adjust to it. This adjustment period may take several days up to a few weeks.
Hey Melissa! I recently bought LRP's Ultra concentrated serum and I have been using it in the AM and PM (apparently adviced to use it only in the PM by LRP). Anyways, I use The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 before applying the Ultra concentrated serum. I was thinking of adding Niacinamide 10% into my routine as well. Should I use Pure Niacinamide 10% in the AM, then Ultra concentrated serum in the PM?
Hello Sean,
For how long have you been doing this 🤔?
And as I said in the video, I am not entirely sure how this HEPES (in this serum) performs, so combining them may not be a good idea. Or just use the Effaclar serum in the evening and the Niacinamide with Hyaluronic Acid in the morning.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I have been using Ultra concentrated serum for a week now.
I think i will use the serum in the evening and the Niacinamide with Hyaluronic Acid in the morning.
@@milkyway2267 Okay, yes. That isn't really a long time, mainly if you have not used any acids before. So your skin usually tolerates it well even though you use it often in the beginning. Still, when overusing it, you will come across a point where your skin cannot handle it anymore and then you will experience irritation. So best to use it only once a day or every other day.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial That's true. Thanks so much, Melissa!
@@milkyway2267 let me know if it worked ;)
I am a dude and the PowerPoint help me screenshot it and I have a lot of pimples I buy products but don't know how and what time I don't knew if I could add more products and soge products say don't go in sun so that is also a problem can I add sunscreen and go out?thank you sooo muchhh
what products do you have?
Hello, i use the LRP duo plus with spf in the morning, can i use vitamin c before that?
Yes, there is no issue with their products that I am aware of.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial because the Duo Plus has niacinamide and bha scid in it, i wasn't so shure😅
@@vericat698 Yes I know, but they do not mention any conflicts.
the first time I used it caused me a slight burning and redness that goes after 10 to 15 min ? Is that normal because I have a sensitive oily skin? Should I continue using it until my skin get used to it or I should stop??
Have you ever used another Niacinamide serum before? 🤔
I have rough and bumpy skin also known as congested skin, could you recommend a product please?
Hey! :)
Do you have dry or oily skin?
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I have combination skin very oily on my t-zone and normal on my cheeks

Which one it’s better the ordinary or la roche posay ?
I prefer The Ordinary :)
Is the Pure Niacinamide 10 serum used for rosacea treatments?
No, but you may have a chance with an Azelaic Acid gel/cream.
Hi. Ive been using it for a month and im having these terrible breakouts should i stop using it ?
It depends, but If these breakouts were caused by the serum, yes!
Could I use LRP Niacimine and Vitamin C from LRP also in the same routine and witch one should I use first?
They do not say anything about it, so I guess it's fine. Or they do not know. a very controversial topic that nobody looks into it anymore.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial This is the answer I got from LRP them selves.
We recommend alternating the use of Pure Niacinamide 10 with Pure Vitamin C10 (so using one one morning, and another the next). 💙
@@marelaelia7982 Okay, so they do not know 😉 I really wonder why nobody is looking into this 😏
hello melissa! i want to buy niacinamide serum kindly suggest me which one is excellent in results The ordinary/ La rochey posay/ Balance?
I would go with a simple formulation, so use The Ordinary Niacinamide.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thankyou
How many times per week can I use it if I have sensitive skin as it exfoliates the skin as well?
That's a good question; I am still unsure how exactly "HEPES" exfoliates the skin since there isn't much information available. I recommend testing it and slowly increasing the frequency to see how your skin tolerates it.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial okay thanks usually on the net It says HEPES activates enzymes on the skin to provide exfoliation
@@shehzaadtakun241 yes, that's pretty much it. 😕
Hi , is it problematic to put on make-up after having followed the morning routine?
Not at all, wait 10-15min after you have applied your sunscreen before applying your makeup on top :)
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial thanks 😊
Sis what is redensyl, a hair growth active , will it helps in stress releted hair loss
I highly doubt it, but you can test it and let me know 😉
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I asked u sis 🥺
I don't know it.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial can u give some tips for stress releted hair loss controled stress but what can I do it's still going worse 🥺
@@devilsdad249 Reduce stress if you can. Unfortunately, you cannot do much; you need to find a better life balance, which is incredibly difficult to do if you are in a bad situation. But we all suffer from such concerns right now because of the terrible situation worldwide. But if you are really that concerned, it may be best to visit a local doctor and ask for more advice.
Hey dear, used the serum and i have breakouts and a burning sensation on my cheeks.kindly recommend another serum for dark spots
Since you already have it, I wonder how often you use it and if you use anything else in your routine. 🤔 If so, what did you use?
I use laroche wash, laroche mosturiser&laroche sunscreen during the day and the serum at night
Are you using their invisible fluid? And what La Roche Posay wash do you use? And did you start using the product at the same time?
The lipikar syndet ap+,i do not have the liquid and yes i started all of them at once
I use it everyday
Hei Melissa ! İ am a breastfeeding mom. İs this product safe for baby ? Cos İ already bought it but haven't begun to use it yet . İ asked to larosheposey they say consult your doctor. İ don't understand the ingredients don't change from bottle to bottle why they cannot just tell me shortly. İ am asking you maybe because you already have this kind of question before with a follower or so . Thanks 😊
This is because these are over-the-counter treatments and were not tested on pregnant women or while breastfeeding; therefore, nobody can tell you this. 🙁
Can I use it in summer?
Yes, but as always, when using such ingredients, it is recommended to use sunscreen, especially when having prolonged sun exposure! :)
I love the product but lrp really need to improve the pipette thingy...
Yes, definitely, for that price, it's definitely a lot of crap. The pipette is way too large, and most of it ends up in the dropper lid.
Hi.. can I use differine after using this serum?
Yes you can
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial thanks 🙏
Hi again.. which one should I apply first after cleansing my face? 🥹
@@shabnumrahimun521 hmm, good question, as this is also a bit sticky. But I would probably layer the serum first.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial okay thank you very much.. I'll let you know how it works for me.. ☺️
When I use it . I feel to much itching and redness 🥺🥺🥺 what can I do
In that case, it may be that you're not tolerating it well, so ideally, you should discontinue its use. Alternatively, if you still want to use it, you could try diluting it by adding one drop to a bean-sized amount of your favorite moisturizer. Then, observe if you tolerate this diluted mixture better.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficialthank you so much for your kind information 🙏
