Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been procrastinating for a while on hard wiring my dash cam, I have a rexing V1 and I just bought myself the hardwire kit from amazon (always make sure dashcam can be hardwired) but the steps were exactly the same!! Cheers
Great video man, I have a 2018 scat in black. Gonna finish this tonight!
Good job. I own a 2105 RT and now, I know it’s not that hard to hardwire a dash cam on a car with the fuse box in the trunk. Sound was always good, but the lighting was sometimes dark. Especially in the trunk. But it did help me a lot. Thanks.
Mahalo for making this video. Will save a lot of time with this knowledge!
Well done, I'm glad you make the video QUICK and informative. I hate those LONG videos full of empty air. Nice job
thanks for watching!!
Very useful video! Thank you!
Hey, cool video. I just installed a rexing dash cam in my 2013 300c and I ran the wires to the rear fuse block. The dash cam is coming on and working fine when I start the car and while its running but I don't think I have it hooked up right for the constant power. I have the constant power (yellow wire) hooked to fuse #12 which is the same fuse you hooked up to in this video and I have the ignition wire (red wire) in fuse #33 which is ignition switch/wireless module. Trying to make sure its hooked up right for the parking mode.
Really great informative video Thank you bro
thank you! your video was so helpful
Glad it was helpful!
This helped me alot wish I had the right length so I didn't have to by extra wires
I have a question about the fuses. Since I’m using two add a fuse taps which 2 fuses were the best to use for the challenger I have a 2016 hellcat I’m trying to set up for the parking mode. Fuses as in the number and what the fuse runs. Thank you!!
Is there a reason you didn't run wire under carpet instead of headliner on way back to truck? I was thinking of doing that so the wire would already be on the ground heading into the trunk. Just wondering if there is a reason I should not try it that way?
Thanks man
I just ordered a Thinkware, how has it been working for you? What parking mode do you use and what battery level did you set?
Great video! Thanks! It was easy to connect my Rexing.
Do you know the nut size to connect to the fuse box?
Watched a previous video on the dashcam tap.
Question,
Why didn't you tap in like the dashcam?
Thank you for the DIY
Really appreciate the informative video.
Does that fuse allow parked recording?
How's that 3m tape holding up?
Did I mention its a Thinkware??
Hey bro good video just curious didn’t the camera come with a hard wiring kit where you can just access the fuse?
Joel Rosas no it does not come with a hard wire kit you can see both separate kits in the video. The camera only comes with a car adapter plug, to go into a cigaret lighter. The hardwire kit is separate, which is what I show in this video.
Too bad you can’t hardwire it into the courtesy lights by the rearview mirror.
What do you do if your windshield is tinted? Won't this peel the tiny off over time?
most dashcams come with a clear plastic film to apply to the windshield, then attach the dashcam to that. It spreads the weight of the cam out uniformly and reduces stress on tint. Just FYI!
Great video bro, we have almost matching cars. I got the f8 shaker with the dynamics package, 6SPD. Being built on june 28th. you have a insta?
f8srtshaker_aka_ greengoblin thanks! That’s awesome man the F8 shaker is the way to go! @jwolfsmith is mine!
Why wouldn't you just connect it to power inside the cabin under the dash?
if you mean the cigarette lighter, because i dont want a wire hanging down from my dash, and pulling out the center console to hard wire into that wire is a bit overkill when you can just run a wire down the trim in 10 minutes lol
@@thegoldeneye8934 there are many wires available besides the lighter socket. I also noticed you didn't pay any attention to whether you connected the accessory lead to the fused or non fused side of the fuse.
Pawlik actually I did, that’s why it worked 😂 and it’s now tapped into a proper fuse as I said I did this as a quick install but thanks for...well whatever this is 😂 in my research, if you want to tap into the dash you need to remove it. I didn’t want to do that. If you’re such an expert why watch the damn video 😂😂
I’ll go under the dash and check the wires of the 12v socket to see if they are easily accessible. Thanks
TheGreenHornet You don’t take criticism well.
The sound is bad
