Placed an order for mine, stealth black one and I also love how customisable it is. Bezel is piss easy to remove with just 4 screws and straps have quick release, very customisable especially with all the mods out there for this ga2100, it can look exactly how you want it to and so easy and cheap to replace if it's been worn out.
Great video there my friend :) I can see the attraction for these darlings, simple and practical... and that lume under the UV lamp is a great idea :) Have added the link to this video on my community page and given you a shoutout :) Have a great weekend and big 21 thumbs from me :)
Thanks so much for the support as ever man. I've been saving up a few topics to cover and hope to get them out soon. Hope all is well your end... Cheers!
I read that you can use toothpaste to buff out really thin scratches on the glass face. You are kind of etching off a thin layer off the top of the glass so that might also remove the reflective coating so be aware of that.
Watchup69 Mr Rangeman suggested I visit this page and here I am. You have great content. I personally feel those who are worried about banging up their watches are those who should not wear and or use a G-Shock. 💪🏼
Thanks. Yes I wear G-Shock because I like to do lots of physical activity and G-Shock has been the only type of watch I haven't ended up eventually destroying :) Thanks got the kind comment, it's sincerely appreciated. Cheers...
I also love g-shock watches..generally casio watches...cheap, durable, good looking and loaded with so many features...for example the Rangeman . it's my favourite.... About your watch screen...unfortunately I don't have any smart ideas..the straps you could replace easily...anyway. you are doing a good job .😉
I’m a massive fan of the Rangeman also my friend. Thanks for the kind feedback, it means a lot. I’ve been given a tip from another viewer on something to try on the screen...I shall give it a go and report back, Cheers...
Yes you are correct. I didn't mean it came with a metal strap, I mean it's a big benefit of this watch for me that it does not have a metal strap. Thanks for watching! Cheers
I don't wear bracelets anymore because of the weight and the lack of quick ajustement, i know prefer rubber or leather. I don't think that it is possible to put a new glass on a G-shock, as it seems to be "glued" into the case of the watch. Most G-shock have a deep recessed glass protected by a thick bezel, preventing them from scratches. Your model as the square models have a slim bezel ; i personaly put a plastic screen protector wich is quite ugly but effective against scratches. I'm also curious on how your metal square will age, i just bought the same watch 1 week ago 😉 Regards.
Thanks for the insight. Yes I'm not sure if I can consider a screen protector as it may take away from the look. Funnily enough I will be doing a damage report on my metal square this week as it is a year since I bought it. So you will see then...! Cheers
Thanks for the suggestion Ken. Yes I've heard of these but never tried one. I guess I'm concerned it may take away from the aesthetics of the watch or the clarity of the dial. Maybe it's not an issue?
I have one on all my watches with flat round faces, even a Rolex sub, but they are most suitable for Gshocks as they have the face set below the bezel and are usually not sapphire Crystal and prone to scratching.. You can’t see it at all on my GA2100 and would also be great for your GG B100 Mudmaster. Must admit I haven’t been swimming yet but if it comes off then so what. There’s a range of sizes 30mm -38mm on eBay. Love your channel keep the videos coming.
Thanks man, appreciate it. I've thought this through a few times and I'm sure the answer will change but recently I've been highly satisfied with the Rangeman. It's a great size, packed with functions I love; notably compass, tough solar, multi band 6 and sun rise/set. Plus it just looks great, I love the negative display. The only gap that leaves is it does not look as good with a suit or smart casual which is where the GA-2100 and GMW-B5000G-1DR come into play. But yes the Rangeman takes it, today at least :) What's your go-to piece? Cheers
@@stormrider1119 I have many G shocks but my favorite Casio in my collection so far is my titanium Pathfinder Paw 1300. Ive been looking at adding a Rangeman to my collection for sure. Thanks for the reply.
Hiya, also new here. I have an mrw200 analogue which over the past couple of years has more than proved its salt despite not being a gshock. Casio are way ahead of the others in watches I think. Got it from Argos for sixteen quid! Cheers.
@@stormrider1119 Yes,no reason with the odd battery change it will be fine.I brought it originally for camping but never leaves my wrist. In my 50,s it makes me feel young again.LOL!!! Cheers.
Hi. I can do this with my gwg-1000 and my gpr-b1000, it looks new but I don't see the point. most of the time it takes 2 seconds to damage a g-shock on a concrete wall so it is the user who is paying attention to this watch and you damaged your steel watch because you are not paying attention. I have a steel watch like you that has all the scratches because I don't care and I don't take it off to do risky work. if you take good care of your item, it will always be in good condition and therefore will work for any item of any brand. I'm sorry that I don't speak English well and maybe I didn't understand everything. but to damage an object it takes very little time and to keep the object in good condition it requires special attention. a plastic bullet is not easily damaged, but a steel bullet is damaged faster. steel: deformation, breakage. the plastic will deform to return to its original state and in addition it will absorb part of the shock. So it makes sense that if you use your watches in the same way, they will be damaged differently due to different physical properties.
I picked mine up today. Love it. Looks fantastic and unique. Small amount of money for a watch that looks and feels great and will last a long time.
Congrats, great choice. Mine is in my wrist right now! I suspect it won't just last a long time, but last forever ;) Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 Put a metal case on it then!

Is it a men's watch ?
Indeed it is. There is a smaller version that I gave to my wife also.
Correction. The GA-2100 does not come in a metal strap variation from the factory.

Get a Mod Kit and really set it off. You can get a rubber strap with Metal case

I recommend a tempered glass face protector to avoid scratches- less than £3 on eBay

Why would anyone care about what sort of watch you wear.
