Had forgotten this line. “I’d like to find your inner child and kick his little ass”….is a hell of a line! Dirty Laundry, If Dirt Were Dollars, Gimme What You Got are other edgy songs.
Great tune and reaction. You did Carlos Santana, days ago. I forgot to mention a really good one Santana did with Rob Thomas called Smooth. I hope you enjoy it.
Get Over It was released in 1994 on The Eagles comeback album Hell Freezes Over. The song was written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. This song proved that they could still write together after not doing so for 14 years. The band member lineup consisted of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit. As far as chart success goes, the song got as high as #31 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Glenn said that he and Don Henley were so sick of tabloid television and Glenn was so tired of professional victims everywhere he looked. So Don Henley said, “I have a title - Get Over It.” Glenn said, “That’s a song! Let’s write it.” You can find Get Over It on its parent album Hell Freezes Over as well as on the compilation albums Selected Works: 1972-1999 and The Very Best of The Eagles (released in Europe, Asia and Australia as Eagles: The Complete Greatest Hits)
JM.... It gives me a great sense of pride knowing I turned you on to these artist for your first ever reaction to them..... John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Don Henley, Supertramp, Kansas, Santana, Righteous Brothers, Credence Clearwater Revival, Iron Butterfly, ZZ Top, Joe Cocker, Elton John, Peter Frampton, The Chambers Brothers. Anita Baker, Quicksilver Messenger Service..... I just smile, again. You are the Best.... More to come.
have heard this song in a sermon once sundy morning and for a lot of Eagles fans we wish that Don to Felder would just Get Over It: Your minds in the gutter bringing everybody down
"GET OVER IT" I turn on the tube what do I see A whole lotta people cryin' don't blame me They point their crooked little fingers everybody else Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves Victim of this victim of that Your momma's too thin and your daddy's too fat Get over it Get over it All this whinin' cryin' pitchin' a fit Get over it get over it You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash But you might feel better if they gave you some cash The more I think about it old Billy was right Let's kill all the lawyers kill 'em tonight Don't want to work you want to live like a king But the big bad world doesn't owe you a thing Get over it Get over it If you don't want to play then you might as well split Get over it get over it It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak You're makin' the most of your losin' streak Some call it sick but I call it weak... JM... Maybe you noticed that most every "Classic Southern Rock Band" has at least two lead guitar players and several have three.... Eagles, Outlaws, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Bros, 38 Special, Black Oak Arkansas. and some had Bass players that were Lead like The Marshall Tucker Band, ZZ Top. There are many others too many to list. There will never be a time like that again. That is why we Cherish the music you are now discovering.
The Eagles did not mince words! Don Henley also did a solo album with some powerful lyrics. One, called "Gimme what you got" is about greed. One amazing line is about not seeing hearses with luggage racks. Also, if you listen, wait for the lyric about trumped up towers and golden showers...and this is from the 80s. ua-cam.com/video/BVgMPgOZPgI/v-deo.htmlsi=YaewApvLIiRUjreP From the Peace, Love and Flower Power Generation. Still relevant!!! ☮

"GET OVER IT"
I turn on the tube what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' don't blame me
They point their crooked little fingers everybody else
Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this victim of that
Your momma's too thin and your daddy's too fat
Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' cryin' pitchin' a fit
Get over it get over it
You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if they gave you some cash
The more I think about it old Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers kill 'em tonight
Don't want to work you want to live like a king
But the big bad world doesn't owe you a thing
Get over it
Get over it
If you don't want to play then you might as well split
Get over it get over it
It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You're makin' the most of your losin' streak
Some call it sick but I call it weak...
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah you drag it around like a ball and chain
Wallow in the guilt wallow in the pain
Wave it like a flag wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child kick its little ass
Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' pitchin' a fit
Get over it get over it
Get over it
Get over it
It's gotta stop sometime
So why don't you quit?
Get over it get over it
Get over it

MY THEME SONG THANK YOU
Spark up my pipe, this is going to be good. Thanks JM.... Told You. Mr. Henley at his Best.
Normally Don plays Drums while singing. This song goes so fast that he couldn't do both at the same time. We understand, it's cool
Probly throws you off that he almost always is on the drumw
Could you please react to Johnny Winter And ...the song is It's My Own Fault and it's off their live lp. Strong electric blues! Thanks in advance!!!
Wonder why the video keeps disappearing from UA-cam? IT’s disappeared twice now .
