5:39...Dylan, yes £60,000 sounds cheap to me as well. Pick me up 1 in each colour next time you're in Tesco...Well impressed with the 'frosted' AP. My future supermodel girlfriend is gonna love it...Good video.
My top 5 in order: 1- 15407 skeleton in steel 2- 15202ST 3- ceramic perpetual calendar 4- steel ultra thin skeleton tourbillon 5- steel royal oak chrono blue dial with silver subdials
Greetings Dylan! An elaborate explanation of your picks. Detailed yet entertaining. Well executed! As an AP fanboy with several timepieces in my collection, I've always had a question around case back serial numbers. I understand the Alpha##### (e.g., K31352) sequence, since the initial Alpha characterizes a "manufactured on" year range. However, a couple of my watches possess an AlphaAlpha####Alpha (e.g., WN3865R) and I struggle to understand 1) why different formats are utilized by AP and 2) how to interpret AlphaAlpha####Alpha serial numbers. Thanking you in advance for your insight & expertise!
A brief summary of the AP range: Royal Oak type +00001 Royal Oak type 0+0001 Royal Oak type 00+001 Royal Oak type 000+01 Royal Oak type 0000+1 Royal Oak type 00001+0 Royal Oak type 00001+00 Royal Oak type 00001+000 Royal Oak type 00001+0000 Royal Oak type 00001+00000 ...etc. (Fact: the Royal Oak was sunk during the second World War.)
I have this same watch and completely disagree, any smaller and a watch feels too small, if not slightly feminine. I also have their ROO diver, you really wouldn't care for that one!
You're right, I prefer more modern sized (40mm-43mm) watches, partly because I think they look better and also because they physically fit my size better (~7.4" wrist). But I can certain respect a smaller gentleman such as Dylan preferring a smaller, more classical size (35mm-39mm) due to his frame and wrist size.
Interesting video. I find some of the AP range too "industrial" but I do like the Jules Audermars extra thin in precious metals, very simple, very elegant and great value for money used.

37 mm is what Aurel Bacs has called "human size" and I totally agree.
The frosted watch looks amazing.
Very genuine guy, exactly what you want from a luxury dealer in London
They all look great, but the frosted iteration is a notch above.

Curious to what watch you got mate
Do you recommend buying omega vintage watches from the 50s/60s/70s? Will they last for a long time?
Royal Oak Chrono Blue dial with silver sub dial #1 for me.
Again another Excellent video.. 👍.
Looking for a AP for my 16cm waist. Any suggestions? What size of the dial is suit for my waist size?
I am also looking for an Ap for my wrist 15,5 cm I am afraid that the 37 is too small 🤔

I have the 15400ST & it’s a perfect watch. Only handicap for me is, Its a big big & thick. I prefer a slimmer version like the 15300

SS OFFSHORE perhaps you like big watches...

Double balance openworked definitely missing. Another great video. Thanks

nice videos
can we have the video for AP 15202IP
These pre-COVID prices are so hilarious in the 2023 context 😅
Why do you not own this fabulous piece?
no double balance openworked?
Nice video mate
Love this video
15400ST great watch. Deployment clasp is shit from AP! You're right.
Openworked?
Why don't you get Adam in front of the camera?
Need a two-handed, ultra-thin quartz model in there.
Why quartz though? Everyone has their own taste, but I never understood why someone would want a quartz watch instead of an automatic
@@adrianblood652 less maintenance more accurate less expensive
Hey I'd wear that "frosted" model!
This video was so misleading, the perception is audemar piguet is a one watch brand. This video didn't help that train of thought.
which other APs would you buy?
@@malthus101 that's why I clicked on this one, to see something else interesting besides the usual.
the 0 watch looks amazing frankly
Lol almost all the watches are royal oak.. without the royal oak ap is nothing..
did i miss 26331st?????????
I wish you can do the top 5 for cartier and review the new santo.
Er....... Code 11:59????
that brown leather strap on the royal oak looks awful!
All Car & Watches ARE NOT an INVESTMENT. Regards. Murtadha Mustafa, Muscat, OMAN.
Skeleton looks terrible on the face. Ugly. Display on the reverse makes sense. Skeltons on the front do not work. Tasteless.
How is AP such an “amazing” brand when their top 5 watches is basically the same watch??? Rolex is king in my eyes!!
stick to rolex. ap drop in price on their pre owned stock and v expensive service costs.
not all models.
Fuck that man, luxury watches are for wearing and enjoying.
