Operation Tropical Storm (Hammer) - Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - ダイミョウザザミ亜種 ハンマー ソロ【MHP2G】

Second gen content is gonna be some of the wackiest content I make on this channel, especially when I play Hammer.
This is one of my favorite quests in Freedom Unite ; it's not particularly hard by any means, Plum Daimyo being the only real threat here ; but the assault of small monsters, the janky hitboxes and all that charming stuff from old gen MH is gonna haunt me on these runs.
Subspecies were really bad in those games but I really appreciate how Plum Daimyo had a Diablos skull to differentiate itself even more from its standard species, rather than just a new coat of paint. I also have good memories of Plum Daimyo appearing on the back of my Freedom Unite CD box.
As for Rathian and Gypceros, they're not bad fights by any means. In G Rank, Gypceros gets a nice troll move (that got me) when you break its flashlight, and Rathian has an unpredictable, super fast tail-flip after the fireballs (that also got me I think)

Solid run! Unite is one of my favourite games of all time and there were a lot of matchups in that game that people didn't explore that much when it comes to speed running. You don't see runs on Daimyo everyday or Gypceros. Btw, did you delete your discord account? I wasn't able to reach you there.

I sometimes wonder if this game is actually easy in multiplayer.
Here's hoping capcom rereleases all old MH games in a collection for modern hardware so I can finally play them with friends and people around the world instead of jumping 20 hoops with emulation.
