Cool run that was a bit slow to get going at the beginning because I brought my Palicos with me and monsters aggro them like crazy. I also got hit a couple times, some of which were because I was animation-locked. In 3rd generation, there is a lot of animation lock where you cannot delay a dodge after performing an attack, which is particularly visible with Hammer.
Back in the day, when MHP3rd was only my second MH game, I was obsessed with Deviljho ; it was by far one of the most unique monsters I had ever encountered and fought, and it basically became my favorite monster immediately, even more so after playing 3U.
This is a pretty good matchup in old gen and good position under his belly to hit it with a Golf Swing is very satisfying to pull off, when he's downed as well. I love timing my pounds along his topple animation so that all hits connect with the weakpoint, especially since Deviljho's breast weakness is notoriously small and difficult to hit.
This wasn't really meant to be a speedrun, I was live so it was more of a regular hunt, but I did manage to get a pretty good run on the first try, this was just a key quest I needed to clear to get access to the Jhen Mohran Urgent.
I think it's a pretty good sendoff to a pretty amazing series of streams trying not to cart in this game. Admittedly, P3rd is undoubtedly a very easy MH game, but I still love it. A lot of the challenge can be found in its HR event quests, with a high amount of challenges for people wanting more of this beautiful game.

Is there any particular reason why you use Palicos? In this video alone they cost you so many openings and punishes
Description says this is from a permadeath playthrough, so I imagine that’s why. It’s not an actual speedrun, and pulling aggro is very useful for a challenge run where if you cart you wipe your save

Great positioning Lynn. What controller do you use for P3rd? I had trouble mapping the second analog for camera
I always use my Switch Pro Controller, when it comes to mapping the camera you want to map both the right stick and the D pad in PPSSPP
