I tried Tabitha Brown's version several years ago and have been faithful to it but I am SO excited to try your version since it is without the furikake on the blossoms...I also use it for my "tuna" salad as well with chickpeas. I need to try your carrot dog recipe as I have been making mine in my Instant Pop for about 5 years and my kids love them...we have them all the time. Thank you for all your hard work on this channel!
I am Puerto Rican. I have my own banana trees ao I use them fresh. Its so much more work. I'm going to look for the canned version. I make banana blossom crab cakes. I soak the fresh blossoms in brine overnight otherwise they are very bitter, like banana peel. I love them. It's amazing how much they taste like actual seafood. 😍

Thanks soooo much, and love your simplistic recipes. I am on my way to purchase the Banana Blossoms as I have everything else. Point, I used to make carrot tuna when I was a raw vegan years ago and added the Kelp granules in order to acquire the fish flavor. Kelp no longer smells or tastes fishy, so I stopped making the carrot tuna, which was absolutely delicious. Hopefully. the Furikake will deliver both the sea smell and taste. The world including its oceans, seas, & other bodies of water is indeed changing. Thankfully, the black salt still smells of sulfur for my mock deviled eggs which everyone seems to love. Keep up the interesting and enjoyable recipes. Shalom Shalom.

You can also use low-sodium seasoning in lieu of Tony’s Creole Seasoning. I am wondering what you might think of the flavor if you also added those. Anyway, thank you for all you do. I am really trying to get into this vegan life now.
