my grandma made me eat clover or alfalfa for a sandwich when I was a small kid like 5 yrs old. She also told me this stuff will prevent not getting future cancer. She also said to put sprouts on top of the natto bean. When I grew up, still eats sprouts, mostly clover for salad or low-carb sandwiches. I've been eating those for years and no wonder why I'm still ageless!! Every morning I steam broccoli side with scrambled eggs, this stuff keeps me boosted and energized. Thank you!

I've been eating these for 40 years and so easy to grow, you don't need to watch a 30 minute video on how to grow them, just put a tablespoon of Broccoli Sprout seeds into a jar allowing the air to get in using a piece of stocking or similar or a sprouting jar (they don't have to be in the dark just don't place in direct sunlight), rinse twice daily and around day 4 - 6 or so EAT. She was ridiculed by most people as she was eating them and miso soup. She’s amazing and was well ahead of her time. She taught me so much and it’s interesting to see you talking about it now and how there’s all of a sudden a trend. Shame people didn’t listen twenty years ago, many of them might still be with us.

Dr. Rhonda Patrick was interviewed on Andrew Huberman's podcast, and they briefly discussed sulforaphane. At one point she was talking about broccoli sprouts and broccoli, and she mentioned that if you cook broccoli, you somewhat lower the sulforaphane levels. However, if you put 1 gram of mustard seed powder on your cooked broccoli, it increases the sulforaphane by four-fold. Neat!!

As I watch this I am eating a buffalo burger, sauted greens and about a cup of brocolli sprouts. I love them with ACV, lemon juice and EVO. My wife likes them on her salad. I've noticed that I digest them very well. I've been growing them from seed in an Easy Sprout container for about the last 7 weeks (Amazon). We start eating them after about 4 days and they are gone by day 7. I never put them in the fridge. I just take out what I want to eat and let the rest keep growing. Soak, stir and drain twice a day. I think I am going to get another container, so that we have sprouts all week long. Also, I soak them in 158 deg water for 10 minutes to increase the sulforaphane. Dr. Berg's videos have been helpful in the whole process.

So basically, sprouts and microgreens are cheaper and faster to produce, have more nutrients and phytonutrients and fewer antinutrients and cause less inflammation. Consequently, you don't need to eat as many of them as you would need from full-grown vegetables. Unless there is some crazy catch hidden there, I can't see any reason to make some major changes to my salad ingredients from now on. Thanks Dr. Berg!
