Mark, thanks for this video. I have been able to get 3x shopping in my supermarket by loading my CSP info into the store mobile app and paying using the mobile app at the checkout register.
You are a presentation genius!! I would love to know how long you took to create this video (assuming you did this by yourself haha). It’s well dissected and edited and it deserves to be nominated for an Oscar!! Looking forward to your next video. I’m already subscriber, so I’ll drop this well deserved like 👍
I Love my Preferred card except for the $50 hotel credit. During my Thailand trip I noticed every hotel was WAY Cheaper on Booking or Agoda compared to the Chase portal.
Mark, Thank you for this video. Ill be receiving my card within a week. Question: Will i get 1X points when i pay for my landscape services if i use this card?
Thank you so much for this video. However, I don't know why, but whenever I try to book a hotel through Chase, I always get a "there's a problem" when I go to check out. I call the phone #, & then I'm transferred multiple ppl....not one of the helped me🙄😬
I got a question and I like a response so I currently have a Wells Fargo autograph card and I’m about to receive the Capital One Savor card the research I’ve done suggest that they’re very similar so I gather that I don’t need both which one should I keep?
First off GREAT VIDEO BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN looking for someone taking this card and demonstrating real world purchases and hotel $50 dollar credit. I actually thought one could use their 50 bucks ONLY for Chase list of hotels. Looks like you can find your own and then apply the 50 bucks which to me is the real gift🎉🙋 PS... got my 60,000 points just by booking a $4k travel trip. My wife and I would always pay cash nowadays we just use the card
Hi Mark, would u happen to know if the Ennismore hotel benefit is available each year, or is it just a one time benefit for new cardholders? Thank you very much!
Currently, the terms say, "Eligible cardmembers must book by 12/31/2024 and stay by 12/31/2025 to receive benefits." So, it seems like a limited-time partnership. I don't know if it'll be renewed though.
It's my understanding that you can move your Chase points to the airline or hotel program of one member of your household who is also an authorized user on one of your accounts.
Up to you! If you have a need for the points soon, then it could make sense. If not, then I'd wait for a higher offer. Keep in mind you could also downgrade your current CSP to a Freedom-branded card if you want to keep the account open.
@@CarlosHidalgo-s7g Closing the account indirectly hurts your credit score by decreasing the amount of credit available to you and by increasing the percentage of your credit that you are using.
@@CarlosHidalgo-s7g - There isn't 1 answer to the effect closing a card will have. It can vary for everyone. Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/UcWqixdQk30/v-deo.htmlsi=elezyDYHONidF4yd You can downgrade to the Freedom Unlimited if you want. Perhaps even a second Freedom Flex.
The 10% anniversary bonus isn’t so bad. If you spend $36K a year, that’s 3600 points, or $45 through the portal. Combine that with the $50 hotel credit. It makes the AF basically $0 to hold the card.
@@Sinisterniinja nah, the bonus is 1pt earned per $10 spent. 3600 pts earned per $36k spent ($3k/month on avg) = $45 via travel portal. Terrible value to get CSP for this sole reason; the card offers good value, but THIS bonus is not a top tier reason to spend on the card. For many, annual spend for CSP is likely closer to $5-$15k/yr, rather than $36k, or may be better off with CSR with $36k of annual spend in categories. Bonus Value for $10k annual spend is closer to $12 or $20+ via transfer partners. So, imo this bonus is reasonably worth maybe $5-$25 value for most, redeeming for travel / PYB - which is still nice extra but doesn’t move the needle as much as other card categories or SUBs.
@@verafiedairman I'm not saying this is a reason to justify getting the card, I'm saying it's already there and it's just a plus. And don't do the "for many" because you don't know peoples spending. $5-$15K a year, really? I put about $100K through my credit cards annually. Anyone who gets this card and travels regularly would easily exceed $5-15K. If they don't, then why even bother with a mid tier travel card, and they're better off with a high Cashback setup. I'm just saying the 10% anniversary "bonus" is not so bad, it's a plus and not a negative. And if you happen to be a person who spends at minimum $36K, it essentially wipes out the remaining $45 AF for spend YOU'RE DOING ANYWAY.
@@soapa4279 lol true, it does take $36k to get enough bonus redemption to get credited the travel portal value of $45, including the $50 hotel credits to effectively eliminate the annual fee cost, not including the value added from category spend. The fact is, you said it’s not bad; I only mention that MOST (that don’t actually spend or make $100k) shouldn’t look to this as a valuable add, since most spend should be going towards other cards for SUBs&Category spend for better portfolio value, rather than as a catchall card. The CSP is a mid tier travel card, but is the best imo, there are better travel cards. It’s great value but more so at lower spend, not so much at the $36k or $100k spend. That’s just my opinion since I can’t compute your actual spend to see if you’re actually better off spending with other cards. An exception is if you spend mostly on online grocery, otherwise CSR will give you higher portal redemption and upto 10x on Lyft/ TP Hotel & Car Rental bookings, freedoms offer higher floor at 1.5x and ceilings of 5x on flex categories, etc. The CSP has a sweet spot for those spending closer to $5k-$15k on CSP category spend rather than all spend; someone may still spend $100k annually, limiting to +/- $10k on CSP. It is possible. I’ve done the math on CFU v CFF and the spend is $62.50 per month, on avg; anything over in quarterly category spend means better for CFF anything less is better to get CFU - assuming you only get one card for one quarter or one year, etc. Check out asksebby CSP v CSR calculator, Im curious if upgrading will bring you more value
The only thing I hate about this card is that it doesn’t give me x3 on deli bagel stores. It likes to nit pick the stores they want to give you smh 🤦♂️. My savorone just gives me x3 on all stores. Common Chase step it up!

Chase just needs to make the grocery category for all and not only online. If they did this then I’d cancel my Amex Gold.
I use Kroger Pay in person and coungts as online

Such a thorough video, Mark! That's a real world every day use review right there!

Hey Mark, I am really liking this style of review for your annual fee cards with benefits. Two down, and 1 credit card binder to go! 😂😂😂
Thanks! Glad you like it!

Glad you enjoyed it!
I just received my card yesterday! Thanks for an in depth guide to efficiently using my new card
Congrats & enjoy it!
I'll admit, the B roll was more fun on the Amex Gold video, but this one is more practical. Simply because I can actually do these things.
Great video. I’d like to see more of these video with various cards to see how they code in the real world.❤

Do you get to use the $50 travel credit in the first 12 months of opening, or do you need to wait until your anniversary year for it to hit?
Yes, you get to use it in Year 1.
I love these “real life” videos! I look forward to more!

I bought a grocery gift online from the actual grocery store. I am seeing if I get the 3X or not.

i need a card for wholesale grocery with no annual fees. any good recommendation ??
Usually, the wholesale club has its own card, such as the Visa anywhere for Costco.
