I just applied for the Gold card and was instantly approved. This is my first charge card. I had an offer for 100,000 points for $6,000 spend in. 6 months. I will cover that in 2 months. Did I get a good offer? Awesome video, btw!
Hey Mark. I followed your advice on a previous video on POT to turn it off last year. I finally just got the targeted offer last month, activated it and received 20k like you said. Do you know if you can turn it off again and eventually receive another POT offer?
Congrats! I don't know how when / how often Amex targets accounts, or if they'll do so on the same card. I personally plan to keep it on for a short period, then switch it off again in case another round comes through!
Does the Amex welcome bonus offer rule exclusion count across business and personal cards? If I get the Amex Plat Business as my first card does that exclude me from getting the welcome bonus for signing up later for the personal Gold Amex? Also along the same lines, if I then sign up for the Platinum Personal after obtaining the Platinum Business card, will I be entitled to the welcome bonus for the personal card?
#6 was to add authorized users to the platty. Isnt that like $175 initially and again every year? Unless you meant companion card which is free. That $175 each year for an AU, doesnt sound fun.
Correct. The points essentially cover the cost of the fee the first year an AU is added. You don't need to keep the AU on your account permanently though.
I haven't seen anything in the terms mentioning how long it needs to stay on. As long as you continue paying your bill in full each month, you won't be charged interest, regardless if the feature is on or off. That said, I plan to keep mine on for at little while, then switch it back off. You could probably do it whenever you like. I just don't want to make it look like I'm gaming the system.

You are the only one can fear Amex with your knowledge, I learned from you to operate through Amex web site, and getting what I want.
Thank you 🙏
#1 is pure gold...just changed my pay over time settings to "inactive". Thanks Mark!
I just wonder how long after you turn it off they'll send that offer. I made the mistake of having it on from the time I got my cards lol
@@StrongEnough78 Same here.
Nice video Boss Man been a viewer since 987 Subs glad to see you grow!!
Thanks! You rock!
Thank you for this great video. I followed your instructions and deactivated my POT. Hopefully I will receive offers to activate POT with a bonus. :)

Best deal you can find on the Gold right now, so yes
@@TheZombaslaya Thank you.
Fantastic offer, congrats!
@MarkReese Thank you, love your work btw.
Great offer on the Gold. Congrats!
The tips are so useful, thank you.
I got an emailed Amex gold offer pre-approved, 200k points bonus on $8k spending in 3 months. Just got the card.
Congrats! That was the Business Gold, yes?
@@MarkReesei seen a 250k business gold offer
@@MarkReese my mistake, $10k spend in 3 months, $375 annual fee is a little high.
Yes, it’s for business.
great advice on making pay over time inactive. No wonder I was not targeted for this. I have 5 charge cards and all were active already.
Wow did not know about that pay over time quick bonus until I checked my email watching this video! Thanks!
Didn't small detail offer until Mark you show me😮😮😮
Great content!
I was approved for the Gold with an offer for 100k! Easy no brainer
Congrats!
thats awesome that first one is good too know
If I turn on pay over time does that mean I have to use it or am I still able to just pay off my balances
You don't have to use it; you can still pay off your balances in full & avoid interest charges.
These aren’t hacks.
Awesome 💯

No. You can get the welcome offers on both personal and business versions.
@@MarkReese so if I got the Platinum Business that won’t stop me from getting the rewards for the personal Gold card.
@@ob1spyker - Correct 👍
What cc would you suggest for the purchasing of precious metals?
Not something I've looked into, so I'm not able to comment on that.
I’m about to reach 1.4m
Great hacks! 👍🏻👍🏻
Does Rakuten work with Amex gold ?
Yes. It works with any Amex card that earns Membership Rewards points.
I have a Canadian Amex account and don’t see the POT in my account. Any other Canadians have that issue?
Not sure ✌ Hopefully others can comment.

Amex fear your knowledge 😦😮
Woow they didn’t give me that offer to activate my pay over time smh
I haven't gotten it myself for quite some time. Keep an eye out!
Fine - I want the points, but I do not want to pay interest. Once I have the points, when can I de-activate pay over time again?
Don't carry over a balance and you won't pay any interest.
Yes. You can deactivate it
