I bought a new infinity CR plus and the trigger just didn't feel right, this video showed me it was severely underlubed all over the joint! Thanks for this informative and well made video!
Its great stuff and have used a single tube for about 5 years now, so the odd drip or two. It does gunk up though and last Month I had to strip down and soak my HPC+. I was being sparing but it had started to build up around the trigger base.
Good info but if you follow various airbrush communities you will see that the blue Super-Lube is the most hated lube out there. After a while it gunks up and everything tightens up. They just released a new clear one that is suppose to be better. The only bit that needs to be lubed is the tiny bit where the needle makes contact with the packing seal. The trigger, air valve or the needle guide does not need it. It just need a to be clean.
I had that gunk up and I think I was probably over-using the blue juice and dropping it in too much. I use it more sparingly and only the smallest of drops delivered by using a tiny dot of it on an old needle.
oh so glad I got to see this video, I have the same airbrush and suberlube and I never really used the lube to its full potential...thanks for all the tips!!!
Excellent info. Just got my infinity plus, and in playing with it out of the box, and then cleaning by flushing thoroughly , after I was having trigger sticking issue (when I released it still bled air). So tore it apart and lubed just as you displayed and it works like a champ. One thing I did notice, and don't know if you have info on this, is after spraying my first test load. Then cleaning with just a thorough flush, it continued to have remnants of paint that would spray out. After breaking it down, I discovered there was paint that made it back into the brush body. The paint only made it back a centimeter or two (not all the way to the trigger), I am just curious if this is normal or my technique is bad, or perhaps my seals are bad. Newbie here so just trying to troubleshoot.
Make sure you don’t tighten the threads to the same degree as if they were dry since a lubed thread with the same torque applied will have a much higher force on the threads and whatever it’s clamping.

If your needle is messed up on the end put it in a drill and use really fine sand paper and drag it backwards it will work till you get a new one
I am using pure Vaseline since 30 years without problems/probably a quarter the price!
Thank you simple and to the point 😊
I found this very helpful indeed. Thanks for taking the time and effort to explain and demonstrate. Cheers

Very helpful, thanks.
I'll have to order some.
Also, I find K33 airbrush balm better for this, the lube can dry and in my opinion is not as good.
Thanks for that Phil. Much appreciated advice. :)
Very helpful, thanks - this helps.
i never understood why modelists have so many airbrushes, now I can understand why...
Excellent!! 👍👌👏
brilliant thanks 👍
I personally lubricate the threads on the airbrush components from time to time, not sure how much of an effect it has on wear.
