As it should be. He INVENTED the rage action. I'm not even kidding. Minsc has always had a "berserk" ability, including in BG1 when the Barbarian class hadn't been invented yet. The fact that in BG3 he doesn't have a special Ranger Rage ability is baffling.

@@elenalizabeth Also, did you try to change Halsin's class? He keeps the "Cave Bear wildshape". Jaheira doesn't. I tried with her too, to be sure. And, yes, in my headcanon I totally embrance the werebear thing for this reason, and many others, ofc. Halsin shares so many traits with the werebears, it can't be just a coincidence. And I even think that, because his family disappeared too early, he didn't have the time to discover what he is. John Corcoran, his writer, said that Halsin was young when he had to leave the High Forest. I wonder if Thaniel's company made his "wereside" surface later, so Halsin thinks it's a regular wildshape 🤔
@@MayaPatch yes I noticed that too, that no matter what he is respecced to he still has the bear form (but no other animal forms - just the bear) but any other character respecced from Druid lose all their animal transformations. I think because he knew Thaniel from a young age (it sounds like Halsin was just a young child when they first met) that he grew up seeing other Druids Wildshape often, so when he “Werebear’d out” for the first time, he just assumed he had picked up how to Wildshape from being around the Druids. And Thaniel obviously didn’t care that he was a Werebear instead of just a Wildshaped bear, so Thaniel never said anything about it - because “little details” like that aren’t important to an immortal - all Thaniel cared about was that Halsin would play games with him and that he was kind/caring etc. Also I assume the reason all the others at the Grove chose to use their bear Wildshape over any other, was because Halsin was their leader (and they liked him) and he would always roam around in bear form, so they chose to copy his most common animal form as a sign of respect (or maybe so then they could go running around the woods with him or go hunting with him, etc). I don’t think the other 3 bears at the Grove are also Werebears, just lazy Druids who like to stay in bear form so they have an excuse to nap often.
My rare dialog is with Minthara. At some point, when you use a tadpole, she's interested in using it too and ask to save a tadpole for her. I got this interaction 1 time only and i don't know what i did exactly 😂😂
I think you just have to not use any tadpoles until after you’ve recruited her in act 2 and have her in your party. Astarion says something similar if you use the tadpoles in act 1 (he asks if he can have some)
Love the content, gives me inspiration to experiment myself. Tried to fool the hag today by exposing her lie with the brothers while being in disguise. Later at the tea house I got the dialogue option to deny it was me. She wasn't fooled though, but awesome that they added that detail.
I think we can all appreciate how thoughtful Larian was, when they made all the different storylines and the effects that your choices make. The fact that Netty changes her dialogue if you steal the wyvern poison is pretty damn cool.
Funny, if you decide to kill Karlach, and have Astarion bite her during the fight, she will still deliver that line about how hot her blood is, and she'll call him by name, even though they never met.
Haven't played in a bit, but another fun one to try. Flaming fist praying over her fallen companion. If you can steal the body, put it anywhere, like in camp chest. She will be in your camp praying to the chest (with body inside).
Larian has patched the game so you can't put bodies in chests. However I did take the body to camp, and she did appear beside it praying! It is only in that camp though. When you move to another area, the body does not come with you.
Lol if you play as Astarion origin and don't tell any of your companions that you're a vampire, they each have a version of a cutscene where they're like "come on Astarion, you're really bad at hiding it, I can't ignore that you're a vampire any longer". Wyll said he knew right away but ignored it for a long time because he's not immune to Astarion's charm, lol
It's actually possible to properly fight Cazador in Act 1! You don't even need to be playing as Astarion to do it. If you fling to the dev room, Cazador is just waiting there. I recommend taking him somewhere else before engaging in combat, since the other npcs in the dev room will also become hostile. Also, it's not possible to kill him in Act 1-believe me, I tried everything from depleting his hp and using nonlethal attacks, to inflicting petrification and atrophied, and everything in between-so you won't get any experience or loot, but you *can* endlessly subject him to horrors beyond his reckoning 😇
He had the berserker warrior kit in BG and bg2. Basically a kit was like a subclass except it applied to a category of classes (in this case it could apply to fighter, ranger, and paladin although it admitted a berserker paladin might be a stretch)
OOooh I wondered about that Astarion/Cazador scene! It used to be a worm based memory sequence in Act 1 in EA. I really need to do some Origin runs soon. It'll be interesting to see the game from their perspective!
