I have seen disturbing things like that indeed.
You still have to consider spitfires and Russians with no low calibers heading on despite knowing that their guns just spark. This means, if you aren't experienced enough or get a bad day, you both will crash and no one will get a kill
Rico in the last 4-5 days I did multiple 1km kills with Hispanos, I think they buffed em
Ferrari Super They are really not that bad. Yes, they are not M2 or MG151 good, but not that much worse. The biggest issue is that they are mounted so far apart.

I think I still killed the enemies before it would have been capped though.
I think if the landing crafts cap at a steady rate you would have been about 60 to 90 seconds too late. But then if they were not killed you would have changed your play to account for it.
I'd like to think the PBJ helped in any case, since I was piloting it... Cheers!
LSTs of this map is very deadly for air units.Anyway, PBJ did a great job
This is how this map works: Patrol boats are extremely deadly and approaching the island. After touching the ground they start bleeding base's hp. Notice the duration of the match is 30 minutes. After 30 minutes if base is not destroyed, allies win. So to win allies must do two things: 1) kill boats 2) survive (or kill all the Japanese obviously)

@@dorian1831 Difficult to learn, but easy to be able to get a general understanding of what a French person writes (note: understanding _spoken_ French is a lot harder in my experience).
Thankfully, English and French share a _lot_ of nouns (cognates) which means an English speaker can pick out key words in a sentence by using their better judgement. Examples include: "difficile" sounds like "difficult", "apprendre" similar to "apprehend", etc.

After trying the D-28, I can say that its one of my favourite tier IIIs. Just behind the Spitfire F Mk IX. It's so damn fast and controls so well at high speed.
Once you're over 500, you can basically bully everyone without letting them get a single shot. And if you do get dived on, all you have to do is introduce them to the concept of compression. Great at pushing down 109s early game.
It's very strong for sure. A tad sluggish, but good in every other aspect.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I only really experienced sluggishness during the stock grind. Though it does take a bit of time rolling, but nowhere near as bad as a 109, and it dunks all over one in a high speed rolling scissors.

I knew the P-47 had good flaps, but I never thought it could safely perform all those loops and spiral climbs, especially against Japanese fighters.
At high altitude and with the energy advantage, it can for sure.

The P-47 can perform it at once but if the loop was performed more than that it will become slow and easy to kill
@@flak8842 I play P-47 nearly like a jet. Keeping speed and alt high. Than you can deal with whatever is around, since most players underestimate this plane.

But that's true because the P-47 has it's own opponents that can outperform it
Gor example I was in the Ki-84 and It was amazing
Great speed
It has a quick climb rate ( I was above most of US planes including the P-51 and the F4U
Sometimes I find that when I am still climbing I find the P-47 is at the same altitude as I am
Some others can outrun it at sea level like the Griffon spitfire
So yeah I noticed that the P-47 is underestimated too much
But this is it
There are some other planes that are being overestimated more than the P-47 but I say that the P-47 is still a beautiful plane
Despite that it has no spinner in the front to protect the engine
I say that the P-47's engine is too vulnerable to enemy fire
I haven't got the P-47 yet but I am pretty sure that it is really joy to fly

A good score for this stratospheric ballet with the P-47.
Learned a lot on how to use p47s, I never used flaps often in props apart of p38s and when making people overshoot with the 190s, but p47s flaps seem to be pretty good. With proper rudder control you managed to keep up with zeros in the recovery from stalls. Gonna use flaps more to recover from stall climbs, even on 109s that have horrible flaps. The extra 50m that you gain without using flaps aren’t worth a fast recovery and the ability to manoeuvre more easily to get guns on target.

(Btw “very good climb” is a bit exaggerated for the d28) certainly they are above average but lots of planes (Doras, spitfires, yaks, 109s etc outclimb them easily)

D28 will reach 6km before G2 and F4 if they aren't allowed to go into red temperatures. Very good is fair. 5.3 Bf109s will outclimb the D28 and I'd say they have very good climb as well, but there's 2 BR steps between them.

First time watching War thunder gameplay where it didn’t feel like it was giving me a heart attack. Realizing how many American players don’t understand how to use American planes and have no patience or over commit to trying to take someone out and then bleed too much alt/energy. So much to learn in this game to become a decent American aviator seems like you have to know all the weaknesses of all other planes. German/Soviet/Japanese planes seem so much more user friendly.

Wake Island is completely unbalanced in favor of japanese teams. I had a similar match in the same map but playing F4U.

Best guide/gameplay on the P47 I've seen yet. Usually, there are great gameplays, but with no explanation or great explanations but with no gameplay to back it up
Tho I've been playing war thunder for about 1 and a half years now, and have been researching energy fighting throughout, I still can't manage to put those tactics into practice. I've learned that time spent researching is not the same as time spent practicing. One example was when I was with my p47 at high alt (7k km) against a spitfire (i clearly had the advantage). I used your tactics from this vid against it and for a while, it was working, but I could never get shots on. Eventually, I began to run low on energy because I kept doing the stall maneuver. Any guidance on what you'd do in this situation? I felt lost, and tho I have knowledge about energy fighting, I don't have much experience executing those tactics well.

What kind of engine settings do you need to make the P-47 climb well? I've always found it to be a brick in that department.
With MEC you can WEP forever, but if you climb at 280km/h IAS with the D28 (D25 has significantly less power and climbs rather poorly), you can meet Bf109s at roughly equal altitude at 6km.

P-47 - the best US turnfighter. Only if F4U had flaps as strong as it - would be a monster. Also, another troll turn-fighter is Tempest II. Roll rate + raw power are probably the best attributes in RB turnfights (like a FW-190 trolling a Spitfire) because you can stay out of the gun sights in 3rd-person view while the enemy stalls pulling hard turns trying to lead.
Euh P47 and Tempest both turn worse than normal by a decent margin...

I out-turn everything in a P-47. Tempest II is even better. Of course I won't try to hang around stall fighting with a Zero-like plane or an Italian one, but as I said, 3rd person view makes it possible. Strong take-off flaps are still producing lift, so wepping with Take-off flaps makes miracles.
Then again, I engage and extend most of the times in these planes. If you don't get anyone on your tail after the first maneuver (Zeros excluding) while you decide to engage in a turnfight - it's very satisfying (wrecking 109s) until someone else spoils it (1vs2).

Of course it has better climb rate and speed, but this one has heavy nose.

When you have time, can you test how mixture should be changed with altitude on the p47? Cuz I found reducing from 90 to 30 at around 9200 metres provides a great boost in power (>10%), but I don't have the patience nor the methodology to do it properly.

Russian P47 is significantly worse than the D28, so you'll have more difficulty doing this.

Haha good question! I think it doesn't make a significant difference.
One of the few, if only, cases where the ground pounders were essential to a good victory (good as in not abusing ticket bleed and letting you fight).

How would you compare the P51-D30 to the 47 in this kind of scenario?
I main the D30 and can take on just about anyone except the Japanese.
Seems the best i can ever get is head-on, and i RARELY get crits from them

With so little air, i feel you would be partially “drowning” your engine

P47 is significantly better if you're alone and you're able to get above the enemies. D30 wouldn't be able to handle 2 enemies at high altitude while the P47 can.
Mixture isn't really modeled in WT, but remember that the P47 has a turbocharger, so there's still as much air going into the engine at sea level as at 7km, so mixture not changing makes sense. Also look at the power in the overlay, it stays constant despite whatever mixture I set.
Flaps are useful in the situations I used them in, they contributed to a few kills in this match certainly.

Hey Adam, I was wondering something.. Could you tell me from the top of your head at which altitudes the p51s/p47s lose power (due to supercharger gear inefficiency for example and whatnot) ? Cheers!
Neither of them has more than one supercgarger gears, the p47's turbocharger stays effective until about 10000 metres and the p51 about 6500
Depends on the variant, and I don't think you're asking the right questions. Power goes up and down as a function of altitude for every plane.
P-47s are turbocharged so they maintain their max power all the way up to their top speed altitude (shown on the stat card). Then it starts decreasing above that.
P-51Ds and H are supercharged with two gears (yes they do have more then one gear, CustomFighter85 is wrong). So they will have two “peaks” of power - one peak below the gear switch altitude and the other peak above the gear switch altitude. Starting from sea level, power will increase as you increase altitude until you reach the first peak. Then power will start to decrease until you reach the low point at the gear switch altitude. For the D-30 that low point is ~3000m and for the D-5/D-20 i think it’s like ~3700m. For the P-51H the low point is like ~4500m. The peaks for the D-30 are ~2000m and ~6000m.
You can find out the aitutdes where these various peaks/lows lie if you have some knowledge of how superchargers work and just pay attention to your cockpit manifold pressures (the P-51Ds have automatic gear switching).

Quick question, if my gas tanks are full will it be harder to put the fire out than if they are at minimum fuel capacity in war thunder planes RB? It would be great if you would answer this, thanks! Also does "J"ing out protect me from repair costs in the Me264, and if I "J" out will I still get rewards? Also do the bases in RB air come back after a while, I have bombed bases, and had them re-appear later on in battle in the past, is that normal?
If anything, full tanks will reduce fire chance because there's less air and fumes in the tanks. I do not know if it's modeled in WT however.

When I'm higher than the enemies I tend to go dive and attack them and I lose. Do you prefer I wait for them to come to me? Sorry for the questions I've been asking lol.
Go for the highest enemy first. Noobs will already go for the first low enemy they spot, don't join them.
dive, zoom back to altitude if you missed the attack, repeat until they die
