Is the air pressure from your infinite baffle what's causing your 6x9s to blow?

Nope . I had a set of tweeters with the 6x9s for a two ohm load on a Punch 400x4 (ran four 6x9s and 4 tweeters).

As far as the 6x9 bass was it good enough?

You can get good mid bass / bass . Of course it depends on how you are powering it ( amplified or not) . Proper crossover adjustment on any system is needed.
