- Ever since I saw the storyboarded version of it, I thought to myself "What if, instead of the demo, I'll put in the soundtrack as the audio?", so I did that and synced the scenes with it so it can match. I also re-edited the soundtrack audio just so you can hear Clopin's high note at the end (6:09).

These sketches made Frollo look even more terrifying.

He looks kinda like buzz light year
To be honest, he looks way more cartoonish than the final version. Though I admit, the shadows make him look like a plague doctor.
He looks like something out of a horror movie
Yeah. He looks like he came out of those scary stories to tell in the dark paintings by stephen gammel.
I never realised how creepy the storyboard looks like, I like it
Bet the animators were looking at this and thought: this IS a Disney movie, right?
And yet, now they're too chicken to go down that route again.
I pray to experience the Disney Renaissance once more...
I’ll bet they had the time of their life animating something adult like this.
One of the last times someone hand drew something like this for a movie.
I really dig the Disney castle at the beginning- it reminds me of the castle that was used during Amanda’s high school years in 2004 on movies such as National Treasure and Dinosaur and it suits THIS movie well..
That transition between the puppet synced with the REAL bell sounds of Notre Dame 💗💗💗
Frollo looks so creepy in storyboard
The church motifs and score just make this so majestic 💗💗💗🎼🎼🎶🎶

Frollo looks so different from the film
The saints dont look as intimidating in this one
The original are creepy, especially the statue of st. Archangel Michael and the one of the Virgin Mary

Ngl but I would watch a film that is in the artstyle of the storyboards like this.
You know they should actually make a special bundle given the fact if what happened to nortra dawn they should at least do so in the cause of restoring the roof

So quasimodo is a gypsy cause his mother was gypsy
someone on UA-cam posted that they they had talked to the animator (not sure if it is true) and they said the gypsy woman was actually Quasimodo’s adopted mother, his birth mother died in childbirth and he was presumably abandoned hence why he was with the gypsies in the beginning of the movie

No if she didn’t care about Quasimodo she wouldn’t have ran and I think if the gypsies had Quasimodo he wouldn’t look the way he was in the movie
