When he was talking about the impossible shot, he was referring to a shot of prey getting eaten by a predator from the perspective of the prey. Hence the scene of him obsessively watching predators eating prey in his office. He ended up getting that impossible shot, and the film survived you can see it rolling down the hill after Angel is spit back out
Ya but unless you're very food at film repair, that footage might get scratched up.
@@Shanethefilmmaker Would still probably be the most valuable roll of film in existence
@@marcdumont2275 Only if there is at least a single frame of the shots he made.
I feel like the camera view of his death is a hint to the film actually surviving and is was discovered or viewed (most likely by angel)
@@aaronmonterroso9734 the film did survive, it rolls out when angel comes crashing down in his tarp
He acknowledged the shot was impossible to get, and that we don’t deserve it. And he still went for it. That could be either desperation or stupidity.
In my opinion, I think it was stupidity.
Well we don’t really know the guy so he might’ve had a deadly sickness and he was like
“may as well go out getting the best goddamn shot in the world.”
So I say (if he had a deadly sickness) it would be desperation
This man was braindead.
Definitely stupidity. I mean he just caught the alien on tape, and now the footage got devoured along with him. 🙄🤦
i think he went for it because he knew that what he’d done was already too much for humanity, that it he had already completed his calling and nothing else waited for him. i think he sacrificed himself for this last shot because he finally felt the fulfillment that he never had for the rest of his career
the fact that he foreshadowed his own death earlier in the film when he was talking to emerald " you know when your on top of a hill all eyes on you , that's a dream you never wake up from " like i will never shut up about how good that foreshadowing was
A true film maker to the end, wanting to get lifes best moments
Press "f" to pay respect

We just don't see enough of Micheal Wincott these days. Great actor!
hear enough of him is more like it - gift of a voice
I knew looked familiar! I've never seen with short hair, but the back of my brain was like ' . . . i know you'
@@jfayiiiMr. Scroob in Treasure Planet. No mistaking the voice...
He does the voice of Death in Darksiders 2
@samanthapatrick4345 He was perfect for that role. His voice is so distinctive.
0:36 this is the 2nd reason why *NOPE* became *Rated R*
Lol I'm laughing because I say that about everyone that gets on my nerves lol
What was the first
Emerald saying the n word in oj's hoise
@@rofutureman probably people getting crushed inside of JJ, and all there blood rains down on there house
@@Bruhman_YUSSyeah, quite a Dump
My terror was eased a bit by finding out the gorgeous Michael Wincott was in it. I have loved this man since The Crow. Good to see him in such a biggie.
Because of that one movie literally any time I see this man face I know I’m watching something good
He's mesmorizing in Alien Ressurection
It’s so funny that he’s laughing (I think) when he’s getting sucked up, like he got the shot everyone wants to capture like the TMZ guy, and he fulfilled his dream.
So unrealistic.
Antlers would not have died from that, he would have eaten his way out of the alien and survived.
😏 I know what you mean
Its a lit alien that sucks you up into the stomach and swallows you so much you cant get out. how else do you think he is supposed to get out? bash the lungs or stuff with the camera? … actually that might be useful but you get the gesture.
and also EAT!? I mean bruh.
To be fair, he could have been alive the whole time until JJ’s end
Nah he just fell out when JJ ate the balloon and just walked off and became a famous film maker.
Who wants to bet up until Jean Jacket finished him off, he was still turning that crank. Not even kidding. With the others, they had no prep time so much of it prior to being digest it is them panicking and struggling. Yet, Antlers here, he prepped and as you can tell even when he was flying up in the air he didn't stop until he was dead.
He turned that crank till he physically couldn't
Man went out doing what he loved, trying to achieve his goal. Mad respect.
Funny how one's career turns. Michael Wincott got his fame by being the Archenemy to an undead Superhero and now he's risking life and limb to get the shots he needs of this monster.
Wincott is such a beast of an actor
This guy reminds me of Quint from Jaws. Both obsessed with capturing/killing the beast
Talk about sacrifice for your art
He should learn from cameraman who was shooting from the inside of Jean Jackets
That cameraman also died.
@@w1ndgeneral226 the one creature that can kill the camera man
@@sideways_chip_eater6420
Not including every found footage monster.
*And every disaster movie that cost us hundreds of cameramen.*
i never laughed so hard in a scene. that was so badass.
I found it funny how he doesn’t even scream he just sounds like he’s coughing all the way up there 1:12
@@obolstudios5154im pretty sure Antlers was terminally ill the entire movie
One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater
I really like Michael Wincott’s portrayal of this character. I don’t like Antlers as a person. Incredibly selfish and pretentious. But I think that was the whole point of why he was there. I also feel like the whole last arc of the movie wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t fed himself to Jean Jacket. But maybe that’s just me.
Maybe it’s just me but the film became way too goofy at this point of the movie and I just couldn’t take it seriously. It was fantastic up till this point; but yeah that perfect shot just put everyone else’s lives in danger in order to get a shot that he didn’t even know would survive the fall.
@@ryanbolton1044 considering the film is at least partially meant as a criticism of Hollywood and the entertainment industry, and the way that it exploits living things, I think it’s very possible this but could have been a part of that commentary
I definitely see your point either way though
1:15 He Sounds Like He is Burning
Probably choking from the air getting pulled out of his lungs by the vortex.
Also At 1:22 To 1:23 He Sounded Like A Zombie
Must've been thinking "I have to go alone, even though this is no place for a shot"
Lol!! 🤣
Imagine Spielberg doing this while filming jaws, hahahahaha.
They always have that girl sprinting around! That poor actor 😂
Convincing runner
If you pause at just the right time, after OJ's reaction shot, you can actually see Antlers getting eaten by JJ in the distance
Saw his small little body just flying up there rip Antlers 1:28
Sucks it cut off. On the part where Jean Jacket goes to eat the rest of the film equipment you can hear Holst still screaming inside.
Just realized that’s the main villain from the Crow
Wha- No No
Where you going?
Its going to be all right angel...
We don't deserve the impossible...
Plot Twist: Sometimes, the camera man does die
*I M O S S I B L E*
How did JJ know Antlers was even up there in the first place? 0:54 her vision was blocked by a cloud.
Cool
This is no place for a horse
A darksider 2 fan 😏
I have to go alone
dust... show me the way
Impossible…. I cannot.
I need more wrath!
It kinda bums me out that whoever wrote the description for this clip got Michael Wincotts name wrong…They called him Brandon Wincott.
Does micheal go by brandon as well? Description says brandon wincott
Reckless to film the alien alone not whether your life
u gotta be so dense to not realize the meaning of him doing that
follow your dreams
Is there a movie where this man doesn't die?
NOOO, NOO EVERYBODY REALLY LIKED HIM!!!
To bad the camera broke
It's physical film so it'll still be pretty much restorable
No it didn’t.
It didn’t break. I think it just, bad-miraculously, ran out of film right before he could record the insides, since it truly is impossible.
@rrrrthats4rsit got swallowed
ARE WE HAVIN' FUN YET OR WHAT!?
Did he scream from that far 1:33 ?
I think it's implied that JJ *amplifies* the screams of its prey through its eye-mouth to intimidate (or perhaps even to ensnare/trick) other potential prey into making eye contact. Screams attract our attention, and you'd be tempted to look to see what's happening that's causing them.
@@pbdye1607🧠
Considering all those people were screaming I think Antlers just got crushed when he made it inside.
@@pbdye1607 No i don't think thats the case his stomach is like a giant airpocket so screams would probably be amplified
The Aliens are coming
This was Suicide man..i felt inexplicably difficult to watch that scene..
Documentary theme become suicide theme 😅

1:06 dumbest idea, judging by the other guys reaction in the other scene they clearly got the shot. pretty sure this guy did this stunt just to get the footage for his dumb money or something. or he just needed a closer look so the shot is better. ither way its still a dumb thing to do if you clearly already got it.
good point.
the fact that you didnt use your brain to connect the impossible shot reference to this makes me lose faith in humanitys intellegence. stop sharing your observations for other peoples sake
@@skillexx479 its a roblox fan, they dont think
Holst lost his mind in the pursuit of the spectacle. As soon as he got JJ on camera, he rose to his feet with an insane smile and one eye closed, indicating that while he's literally abandoned his camera, he's still consumed in his passion (one eye shut as if still filming).
he's an artist. just the shot they had wasn't enough. he wanted more and better
Adieu...Top dollar.
