If the whole movie kept this crazy, energetic, and fun horror tone present in this scene, than it would have been a lot better and more memorable than what we got.
Interesting.
I definitely concur to that!
😢
It was still okay.
Well that’s what we get when Elizabeth banks makes a movie
Hands down the best scene in the movie. The song during the chase makes it 10x better
Bro's hand definitely went down lol
It's the only good scene lmao
Depeche Mode playing in the scene is so goofy
I just can’t get enough lol…
This whole movie is the best
Tom could've saved everyone's life a few times if he wasn't the most shellshocked EMT of all time.
to be fair he was getting crushed by a bear so I bet his body wasn't 100%
It's shocking how disturbing and terrifying the scene from 1:20 to 2:57 is. The incredibly unsettling music, the ominous heartbeat, the bear coming out of the shadows, the mutilated body and the slow buildup to it, and the fact that there are no jokes that break the tension. It's almost like you're watching an entirely different movie.
* 2:54
"It's almost like you're watching an entirely different movie...." I haven't seen it yet, but you make it sound like the rest of it kinda sucks, so...
Exactly, that’s why I hate it
The rest is pretty bad, like Weta provided just a handful of shots to a few handcrafted scenes like this one. This is really great.
They took 'Big Bear Chase Me' from 'The Great Outdoors' and made it both hilarious and terrifying!
This felt like a scene out of the *Final Destination* franchise.
Never seen those movies.

Idk why but the most horrific part of this scene for me was watching that poor ranger get ejected from the ambulance and her face sliding on the asphalt. Legitimately felt awful for her
It would have been fantastic if she survived till the end and they found her. She was never around any cocaine so it could have worked.
LITERALLY THAT WAS DISGUSTING
Eh she didn’t care about missing children
It certainly was terrible.
Absolutely dreadful.
But it begs the burning question…
Why… the hell… didn’t those idiots… CLOSE THE DAMN DOORS?!!!!
@@awesomness36 of course not.
Cus why should they?
Kids disappear every day.
They feel that there’s no real point in trying.
Cus they’re “tired of babysitting”.
Plus, she’s an “authority figure”.
They stop caring ages ago.
They don’t give a damn about the children.
It’s just like all those fraudulent politicians you see on TV, going to cute little schools to “help the kids”.
Or “bond” with the adorable little children.
As they pose for their photo ops.
What a farce.
Like seriously…
As if ANY of those so-called “higher-ups” care about ANY of those kids.
If they did, they would give the teachers better pay rates, so they’re well educated.
Or better yet… enforce gun control laws or strengthen borders to stop bloodthirsty killers and trigger happy lunatics from barging in and ruining their futures.
These so-called “upperclassmen” are all the same.
Always so quick to point fingers and blame others for random inconveniences.
But really…
How can they expect Americans, true-blooded or otherwise, to have any chance in life…
When their own country is overrun?
Seeing Beth checking her heart rate so passionately was hilarious 😂
Seriously how long must one check someone's heartbeat😂
She wouldn't be checking for a heart beat, she's auscultating her lungs.
As a survivor of a bear attack, this movie gives me ptsd, but, it was still worth watching

Bear sounds are cute for me
This scene did something more unique than many movies where they make the heart beat in the scene an actual heart beat from someone being checked by a stethoscope

Sad anyone would even see this trash
I have to go with the opening scene and the scene where the ranger, the employee, mom, and kid get attacked by the bear. It's also surprising that the kids are the main protagonists and the guy who dies in the end is the main villain in the movie.

When i saw this in the theater, i was confused on how exactly the driver died because it look like she could’ve easily survived flying through the window and landing on the grass. But now i noticed that if you look closely at 5:37, you can see her face quickly hits the side of the tree
Your skull and the windshield at that speed is never a good mix.
She also slammed directly into a windshield
Being ejected from a car going from high speed to full stop in less than a second is not as survivable as you may think. Even if your exterior looks unharmed or merely bruised, your insides will be pretty much destroyed.

Late to reply but if I'm being honest... you don't need to. It was... ok. This is pretty much the best scene and uh... there isn't a lot of competition. Everyone has different opinions so I'm sure some would disagree but yeah not the best use of my time tbh.
This and the scene where the bear start acting like a happy puppy because he got some cocaine are the best ones. 😂
When she whispers "Bear..." in the stethoscope 😂
And then one minute later she's screaming and shouting!

“They said they called in a concussion” lmfao
4:48 I've been in a moving car with the door open and its actuality surprisingly not that easy to close the door when the car is moving so this is semi-realistic.
I haven't seen this yet but this scene has me having a good laugh the entire time. I need a relief LOL
This movie is the funniest show I have seen in a long time. This movie should be listed as a comedy, not as a drama.
It is listed as a horror comedy
The song during this scene kind of made it funny, especially when the guy said "not the tree the giant bear!". Best line in this scene.
Honestly this scene was pure terror.
No amount of happy music will make this scene any less horrific.
Agreed. Honestly I didn't wanna see those guys die.
Well.. it is a comedy??
legit felt bad for the paramedics when this scene happened, they seemed like nice people that cared a lot for eachother.
I don’t their both idiots she tells him to get up with a 300 plus pound bear on him, tells him to get on while she hit the gas, he couldn’t close a door to save his life, and the dumbest thing is she could be doing 65 in that Ambulance but instead she doing 30 at best.
I'm not sure what was more creepy, the ranger whispering the word bear into the Stethoscope or seeing the bear slowly come out from the shadow.
This is one of the best scenes of the film.
Wow..guess I really don’t need to see it

This is a great song choice for this scene.
Every scene of Esteemed Character Actress Margo Martindale is gold no matter what context.
That bear had to have run faster than a cheetah for it to catch up the ambulance like that 😅
Yes and no. Depends he kept yelling at her to punch it so presumably she wasnt doing the top speed of 70mph for a US ambulance. Considering she was also cornering and driving erratically I'd suggest she was probably closer to half that. Also probably couldn't punch it while doors are open fear of medical equipment etc and the ranger coming out the back. Some bad news: How Fast Can a Black Bear Run? Black bears are a bit slower than grizzlies but can reach top speeds of around 30 miles per hour. Their speed is going to vary based on age and athleticism. Plus this bear was on a cocaine rampage and it's a movie using dramatic licence so add 50% and you have ambulance at 35mph and bear at 45mph.
@@TheWPhilosopher damn I didn't realize I have to read that and how realism works
@@osky9077 well no but you also don't have to be spoon fed everything as an audience either. For the first minute they are driving over bumpy ground too including the grass not the ACTUAL highway. Ironically the bear leaps ON the highway as it realises it is starting to lose ground and most of on the highway the bear is already IN.
To be fair, Beth was panicking the entire time and probably didn't want to floor it as the doors were open and she feared the ranger would fly out the open doors. To me, it never seemed she was driving above 30ish mph.
Also, top speed of black bears is 35mph, and this bear is HIGH ON COKE, so probably pushing over her limits and doing 40 mph.
The music during the chase was hilarious
It was today when I realized that Scott Seiss, the Ikea TikTok man of all our customer assistant pains, was in this movie. I may actually watch this now...

The rest of the movie definitely needed to be campy and crazy like this was.
I couldn't help but laugh at this. Am I a bad person?
Don’t worry, it’s meant to be a comedic movie
Not at all. Everything is over-the-top and played for laughs, very much like an early Peter Jackson movie.
