I have that reel and mine is all metal save the drag nob and handle end! Very good reel though.

I have two I use... they came with 6lb line. a black one and a red one. I need another one cause I fish in tight to banks sometimes from a paddle board sitting on my cooler/tacklebox.

I figured that's what it was. Which according to the reel, is too heavy for it lol. It worked a lot better with the ice fishing line
