I have one of these pen rods but I’ve modified it as the reel that came with it sucks so I got a cheap 1000 sized reel for £25 taped it on to it best thing I’ve ever done obviously kinda takes away the travel aspect but helps land more fish 😂(edit you should also use the “cap” of the pen as a butt extension by putting it on the bottom of the rod)

Can you replace the reel on the pen rod or is it too small
You could with maybe a 1000 or 2000 but the seat of the rod is pretty small
I got one for 5 bucks at a yard sale still got it

Just a can of corn
try it for 10 kilo carp at the good carp spot

I used trilene 8 lb monofilament
