I'm happy to see these kinds of tests on fishing rods. It tells one that even though it's not as strong as a regular sized rod it can take some good sized fish.
My husband who doesn't like fishing, liked this video!! So did I. I've never seen these rods but it looks fun.... I knew it could hold all those fish 🤣 would have liked seeing you fishing with it.
I would first like to say that I greatly appreciate you and others on youtube that show videos testing products like this. I really helps when deciding what to buy and how to use them. The video was very informative and is appreciated. I just bought one of them and will be trying it out this season. Take care
Just found your channel and boy am I glad I did. BTW There's a tiny rod called the Zebco dock demon. Test how big of a fish you can catch on it! (Just a vid idea) It runs about 8 dollars here in Texas.
+Jacob Salinas what?? Ok haha that sounds awesome and like a lot of fun. Thanks for the suggestion! And welcome to our channel:) follow us on our fb community and post pics of your fish!
You are actually pretty good at lifting these objects with rods, I know that sounds crazy, but people pick up to fast and wrong angle usually and they just explode (put hand too far down and cause negative fulcrum effects). Either way, these are and always have been really interesting videos. I am tempted to mail you an OLD generation 1 Abu Garcia Veritas and let you test it...
For carp, use a hair rig with 20-30 pound braid, and use a paper clip to feed the corn onto the line. Use 3 pieces of corn on the rig, and chum with a handful every 5 minutes
Trent Summers Go to Catfish and Carp's UA-cam channel. They are one of my favorite fishing UA-camrs (Senko Skipper is my favorite) and they make this panko corn and jello carp bait and it works wonderfully.
That's not actually a carp. That's called a river carpsucker. They are deeper bodied than carp, have no barbels and have a higher dorsal fin. Love the video!
Quillback is a subspecies of carpsucker. They have more forward oriented mouths like carp, rather than directly underneath as seen here. And their dorsal fin is much higher and thinner. Hence the term, "quillback".
I catched 3 carp on corn 🌽 one like 1kg another 700g and the biggest 2kg My dad catched a 3kg carp on worms 🐛 and corn 🌽 All on carps were catched on a float
Great video. My daughter caught a 14 inch large mouth bass with a Berkley ice rod last spring. Great little rod for a nine year old. All the best from Kansas.
TeamBassin TV If he held the rod pointing downwards the rod would demolish those fish, the locks on the telescoping rods would be strong enought to hold these fish easily.
I first saw an ad for one of these pens while I was playing Words with Friends, and it interested me because I love fishing, but I didn't want to carry around a big pole especially because I don't drive anymore. so I looked around 4 different penrod's that might be better quality. I found a top 10 list and ended up buying 3 of the # 1 pen fishing rod that was listed. What's weird is that I bought the same pen of three different colors, but one of them is guaranteed to arrive tomorrow and the other two aren't due to arrive until much later in June or possibly July. (at least they're due to arrive before my trip to Santa Cruz) No matter though, because there's a fishing event at a local Community Center and nearby pond just up the road apiece on June 6th and it's one of the two free fishing days here in California this year, so I won't need a license that day. And I will at least have the silver one. if I had known about the free fishing days, I would have gone to one of these events a long time ago! if I can just catch something with that pen rod that I can take home and clean up and eat, I'll be happy. 😊
I use maseca, banana strawberry jello, honey, and creamed corn. Mixed together until it's a stiff dough. Use it in a treble hook that it is molded in a little ball and wet before casting. Works pretty well imo.
Carp are notorious for eating up the fresh water game fish eggs , they have spread out along the east coast; you catch them do not throw them back , give them to your kitty .
I attached a tiny reel to a $1 reel clamp attached on the bottom of the front half (3.5 feet) of a 2-piece ML rod rated for 6-12 pound line.... THAT was the BEST hack and ALOT of fun
I love the test videos. In these hard times of COVID, have you thought about donating your unwanted/disposable fishing equipment to children (group/foster homes)/an organization to inspire & help those who don't have the means to fish? Or perhaps simply start up your own outdoor event handing out fishing equipment that you no longer want/need. Something to help with your goal of getting more people out fishing. You know what they say in fishing, "the tug is the drug" and fishing helps staying out of trouble.
The rod was never intended to lift the weight of the fish. The rod is used to apply resistance to the pull the fish can exert when it swims away from you. The force a running fish can exert is always substantially less than its weight, and the reel's drag is set to less than the strength of the rod as well as less than the strength of the line.
lol I ordered one on Ebay for $10 CAD, and I was offered a warranty! Two bucks for two years...honestly, I think wearing out the warranty will be the most fun!
Caro fishing is some of my favorite but you have to have a very strong rod and high text line because I've had 5 pound carols break 20lb test just cause how strong they fight and they've almost snapped my strongest bass rods so I suggest a big catfish rod. also corn is the greatest for carp unless they're on the surface use a small float bait

This is a redundant test
I've been wanting to buy one so I am grateful for your experiment.
Still gonna buy one though

I'm pretty sure Catfish and Carp did it- but he never gave the exact weight of the catfish he caught.
What would happen if the fish was pulling?
Broken Gamin fish also weigh less in water
@@oksorry6279 Sometimes they're stronger
You lose the drag and let him run is not a crane it's a fishing pole
*Pocket rod brand leaves chat
Broken Gaming Fortnite is shit

Small rod is not a problem. When I got large fish I just reel in the fish with the rod parallel to the string. This avoided the rod from breaking.
Experiment videos are cool!! Give us more!!
8:05 OMG THAT NOISE FROM HER😂😂😂😂
Bro that funny af
It was an edit lmao
Beautiful girl too
The pen rod handles all the fish and walk's out the head like an og just saying "man yo line broke before me."
That was super fun. I love the experiment!!!
Such captivating test lol. Keep up the good work!
I have never seen a rod like that before, I might try it with bluegill. Where did you pick it up at ? New to your channel and think it really cool
test the dock demon
Joe S he should lmao
You'll have to almost saw that rod to break!!!
4:14 *Neighbors walk by and see this*
Fantastic ideas. Keep experimenting and sharing. Can’t wait to try the Mountain Dew shrimp.
That’s a awesome lil pole!!!! I use mine all the time and love it!! I keep it in my glovebox lol
What are they called?
That was so weird when she said “we like doing these experiments”
Corn is a good bait for carp!
+Trent Summers I've heard! Have yet to catch one though...
Those fukkers are the hardest to catch imo
Ya
i go carp fishing and caught a 14 lb carp use maggot corn boilers or pop ups
Trent Summers Go to Catfish and Carp's UA-cam channel. They are one of my favorite fishing UA-camrs (Senko Skipper is my favorite) and they make this panko corn and jello carp bait and it works wonderfully.
Yay do the ice fishing rod

Senko Skipper yay thx
@@HeySkipper what was the name of the rod you used or a link of where you bought it
"I'm not a very good fisherman" - and yet here you are with a fishing podcast
thanks informatin its very important and clearly my bro, success for all its
My biggest fish was a 2 foot grass carp using a Hocus Locust topwater during a mayfly emergence.
That striped bass is actually called a hybrid I can tell because the lines on it are broke up
Knox Thurman yes
Why didn't you just use different weights to test it instead of fish? At least you wouldn't have had to deal with the stinky carp! Lol!
Nice and incredible,,,,,done watching my friend
What the name of the rod or a link to find it
5,5 pounds on a dead lift !!!! come on thats great !!!!
She mianed at 8:04
It wouldn't have broken if rod was in a slight downwards angle! :)

+D-Bone1361666 awesome, thanks for the info.
D-Bone1361666 or a quillback. Same distinct features. More round body than elongated
Quillback is a subspecies of carpsucker. They have more forward oriented mouths like carp, rather than directly underneath as seen here. And their dorsal fin is much higher and thinner. Hence the term, "quillback".
I really wish someone would make one of these that's actually fucking awesome because I feel like it would be fun to have.
6 yrs later
Your videos are very entertaining, you guys are so chill and easy to watch. Thanks for the good content!
that was fun to watch
You should wear some eye protection when you do these rod tests and the splinters could possibly fly into your eyes.....
I catched 3 carp on corn 🌽 one like 1kg another 700g and the biggest 2kg

All on carps were catched on a float
Rajono Kunigas using block cheese works
airogames x:DD 3kg carp😆 and it’s caught
Spam works for carp
The Challeng for Hawaiians too, lol
Dude ive tried everything they are so damn scared of everything
The Challeng sperm
Spam will work but its much too nice to feed to fish.
Use luncheon meat, cheaper and just as effective.
Luncheon meat and spam is the same thing
Bread and corn are my top carp baits. They work really well!
Great video. My daughter caught a 14 inch large mouth bass with a Berkley ice rod last spring. Great little rod for a nine year old. All the best from Kansas.
3:37 geometry dash music 🤔
No fish of those will break it
Shouldn't do unless the rod is weak, I had a 3lb carp on mine, no problem with the rod but the drag on the reel is shit, best to use backwind.
I orded a pen fishing rod
Good experiment 👍
Pretty impressive 👏👏👏👏👍
I think the carp is going to break the micro rod
Bread and corn for carp bait
your purposefully bending the rod at an unnatural angle
TeamBassin TV If he held the rod pointing downwards the rod would demolish those fish, the locks on the telescoping rods would be strong enought to hold these fish easily.
You’re*
I hit the like button because of the mini senko skipper
Good advice
i caught a 30 lb carp on a DOCK DEMON. the deluxe spinning reel one. its a must do vid... havent seen it done yet!!!!!!!!
IKR there cheap and I caught a15 pounder and there small
Carp are great eating ,if you know how to clean ! Box of Wheaties and vanilla extract ! Dough balls
carp bait= bow fishing bow
Only if you're a primitive neanderthal who wears animal skins.
Bait for carp , doe bait is the best. You can make it at home. It's easy and they fish love it. Nice video.
For carp bait, us sweet corn, great vid mate
You should really look into buying a pair of safety glasses. ... brah
+MrAlternation 😂😂😎 good looking out. You right.
My uncle caught a human hand while fishing for carp in a local farm pond, was to scared to ask the owner about it
Bread is a good carp bait. At least where I live it is
I'm pretty impressed.

Love your videos from bucks Adventure
Hi There love watching you guys can you tell me with my Saragossa 14000 what rod do I use
do you have a link to where we can buy this exact rod and reel combo?
I use maseca, banana strawberry jello, honey, and creamed corn. Mixed together until it's a stiff dough. Use it in a treble hook that it is molded in a little ball and wet before casting. Works pretty well imo.
Where did you buy the carp what store and what city?
Have you tried to test the strength of a dock demon fishing rod? I own one myself but not sure what their strength capabilities are?
What rod and reel is this? a link would be awesome
Can you leave a link to where to buy the rod.
Carp are notorious for eating up the fresh water game fish eggs , they have spread out along the east coast; you catch them do not throw them back , give them to your kitty .
I've caught two carp in my 6 months of fishing and caught them on bread and hotdogs. Wasn't targeting them, but they took the bait!
They love can corn kernels😁

would this thing be lighter or more sensitive than a high quality UL rod?
Love from Arunachal Pradesh, India ♥️♥️
I love it
Thank you for watching!
where did u get your pen fishing rod from ?????
I like the scale and I'm thinking of a pen rod. I have the profishency tiny pocket rod and it's a blast to fish with.
i think this could have a spot in a survival kit . It does not make sense to think of it as a "daily" kind of fishing rod imo . nice vid btw ;)
