I'm also from Fife. It's good to see Daniel doing well, and even better so it's with the help of the Conester. Scottish accents are definitely the best for swearing, no other accent can convey the c word with as much gravitas as it deserves.
I did that very thing today, to the jerk who almost ran me over… 😊🏴

Something about Celtic countries that got swearing down to an art form. It hits harder because the vowels are a stabby kind of sharp, it penetrates the soul...
I particularly like swears with the 'w' sound because you can linger on it, so a little build up before hitting hard with the rest. Like a Twwwwwat!

Those who don't know, Stewart Lee is an English comedian who once stood in front of an audience in Glasgow and basically insulted everything they hold dear. Called them Scotch and said that Braveheart was a pedophilie. Funnier than it sounds and a lesser comedian would have probably got his head kicked in.

But if swear words have no impact and no ability to shock, why would anyone use them? They would no longer be swear words. I don't for a second believe that's what most people want - how would they convey that they're cool and don't give a crap? The tattoo? But that's not shocking anymore either. Your 60-year-old grandma probably has a tattoo. I hate it when people repeat the same old arguments as if they're such independent thinkers, when they could not be more squarely inside the box.
