Good content, nice wrenching. I've been thinking of a sequential in my goat for a bit. You explained it well, H pattern vibes. Good look'in goat btw. Are you building to drift or track with the 315's up front?
Have just put 1 of these in my 2003 Holden. Did not have to cut any plastic, change tray easily cleared, i changed the position of the reverse selector so it is behind the gear selector, not in front. I have also added the gear display, still got to cable reverse switch for the display. All the console etc. looks exactly like the Holden.
@@austinkeys_ Not sure it was "easy" had to cut out the body obviously. I used a Dremel for that, then realized not enough on the left side because of the position /gear sensor. Drilling the aluminium block in the car was a pain. Could have been pre-drilled, then just drill base plate in the car. Have not yet wired reverse indicator because switch is on the gearbox, but wiring goes back to the cab, then to trunk, but where is a good place to find it? Don't think my tires are going to last now....the car just wants to launch...
He could have shifted faster. The box itself is still designed for h pattern shifting ( nothing changes internally in the box ) so if you are running synchros instead of dog engagement you still have to allow for that. Regardless of shift time the benefits are still massive and with the addition of a strain gauge you can flat shift confidently knowing it will go into the correct gear.
I would imagine that it's great for drag racing, being impossible to money shift or miss a gear. Super sweet.
