I also blew my L4-L5 disc, I had it fused in 2009 and then redone in 2012. The first doctor really messed it up and I am in constant pain. I finally broke down and had a spine stimulator installed to get off the pain meds. My pain management doctor has been awesome in helping me. I recommend that you DO NOT have surgery until you just cannot stand it. When the pain totally makes you feel like your life sucks, then get it done. The pain will interfere with everything you do in your life. I was disabled at 53 when I thought that I would work until I was 70. Life is good today and I really hope you get better.

Dr Sweeny from Southeastern Spine in Sarasota Fl did fusion surgery on my wife's back. He was the best spine doctor we have ever dealt with in Florida and she has been all over trying to find the right doctor. Small in and out surgery for you and you'll be back at it 100% again. Good luck man
As someone who also suffers from bulging disc issues, my inversion table is one of the best investments I've made in treating the condition. I ended up buying a 'teeter hang ups' inversion table. Whenever my bulging disc flares up, I follow this routine... Best time to use it, is directly before going to sleep. I hang upside down for a total of 10-20 minutes, this gently stretches your spine and relieves the pressure on the bulging disc. Then after exiting the inversion table I go directly to bed before my spine fully compresses. I would also wear a back brace during the day while I still felt any pain. Usually after a few days my back pain would go away. Bliss!! I also got into the habit of doing crunches whenever hanging in the inversion table as this helps strengthen your core and abbs. Good luck.
Hey Adam, I’m 37 and have dealt with three herniated discs over the years. Just want to tell you to do the prescribed physical therapy and try to avoid surgery as much as possible, it just kicks the problem a few years down the road without really fixing anything. Hope you feel better soon, wouldn’t wish disc problems on anyone.
Appreciate you talking about your back problems. As someone with a few health issues, I see a lot of UA-camrs with seemingly perfect health and wish I could too, but knowing the people you look up to have their own issues they have to deal with and still push through is inspiring

I decided to go to a chiropractor the specialized in a lot of modern medical equipment. Not the cracks and pops that most are use to. Most of my lumbar discs are blown or bulging from a car accident and life. I highly recommend you get the surgery. It made a significant difference for me after one point going numb from the waste down. Things will never be the same again, but exercise and especially daily stretching will help manage the daily pain. I also recommend spinal decompression during the bad times, and a tens unit too when you're too stiff. Good luck

I have degenerative disk disease after all my surgery's I was told the disk above my fusion's is bulging now. I had 3 Dr's tell the same thing that if they have to fix that disk that it's NEVER going to stop.
I’ve had the same back issue for 2 years. I hurt it when I was 24 and the doctors have been worthless. Good luck brotha I hope you have better luck than me!
Definitely get one of those inverter chairs!!! It change my life. I had a herniated L5 would get steroid injections every 4 to 6 months (insanely expensive). But that chair 10-15 minutes a day was life changing
my dad herniated the same disc. and has the same problem, so did his mom (my grandma) my grandma got surgery for it and it’s only made it worse. she’s now unable to walk but has reduced pain. my dad tried these stretches with a workout band? and he’s back to feeling like he’s 30 even though he’s 50. so worth a shot adam!

Adam, I had the same lower back thing. I saw a api. Management doctor is ready of surgery. I got 4 injections in my lower back and I’ve been 99.9% better for 4 months.
I’m in the same boat you are with your back. My L3-L5 are shot. I’ve had the epidural shots and they help but physical therapy has helped the most. Getting your core strength up also helps out a ton. My inversion table is my new bestie
Aw, would've loved to see a ZF 8 speed on there. Stop turning everything and anything into a race car - you can actually go fast without "ruining" a car.
I’ve had the same issue with my back. Try doing a lot of decompression and massages will make it feel so much better. Hope this helps. Please continue to share your journey
Hey I've been down the lower back problem road. I've had 4 lumbar back surgeries from S1 to L3 and multiple injections and have figured alot to keepy my back strong and healthy( most you can do on your own and the results are better than anything the Drs have done!)
hey adam, my name is adam too, i herniated my L4 vertebrae a few years ago, every now and again it acts up but it will get better with proper care and surprisingly lifting weights will make the pain less over time.
My brother had the exact same problem with his back, but his pain got so bad that he could not sleep or do anything for weeks. He had surgery just before Christmas and now his back is fine👍
I also bulged a spinal disc in my lower back. Basically they tell you certain stretches to slowly work the disc back into its normal spot. The stretch’s actually work great and over time if you keep doing them, it works itself back in and you’re good to go. If you don’t try to fix it now, those discs can burst and that’s where the real pain starts and you’ll need surgery and then couch ridden for 2-3 weeks after. The bursted disc happened to my dad.
As far as your back goes, went through the same thing as you are now. Just got mine sorted out. Not a guarantee for everyone but epidural injection worked for me, helps with inflammation
Sorry to hear the back problems. I had similar issues. The best thing was Peloton. It strengthened my core significantly and that helped release the pressure on the disks. Most people don’t think biking would do that but to stop from swaying and putting pressure into the pedals takes a bunch of isometric core strength
*related to spine/back problems* My dad (a 40 year professional bike racer) was told that this happens from always being bent over a bike, being tall, working over engine bays. He had a herniated disc that pinched a nerve. He basically was in serious pain, couldn’t stand or transition to sitting without serious pain. He also couldn’t lift weight or do much of anything. Some recommended surgery/drugs what ever. A bike racing specialist recommended “pressups” a half push up where you lay in your stomach, keep your hips flat on the floor and do a push up. I basically “bends” your spine the opposite way and releases it. He has never had an issue sense. Sure you won’t see this but hope it helps.
That back problem was what my dad went through exactly for 6 years. He has his disk fixed and it hurneated again. So he had to go into surgery to have a segment of back completly replaced by metal. And hes completly fine now and is feeling better then he has in YEARS. I hope it dosent get THAT serious for you. But hopefully they just have to fix the herniation.
I was so hyped when I saw the barra update! About your back pain, I’s definitely recommend going to get insoles made specifically for your feet and wearing them in your everyday vans or other sneakers. I’d also recommend training your core strength and your glutes I’ve found that training those areas has drastically decreased any discomfort I’ve had with my back. I’ve had a herniated disc and broken ribs and the best thing you can do is know your limits so you don’t make it worse!
I had 5 herniated disks in my lower back 10 years ago, I was in physical therapy for 7 months 2-3 times a week. I was barely able to walk at that time bc of the pain and sciatica. No surgeries or medication, just used Aleve, heat pads, and cream like bengay. Now only time I feel it is before it rains or after lol but nothing like it was.
Screwed my back and ribs up 4 months ago grade 2 muscle strains from work good luck with your healing I’m doing much better but like you said I can only sit couple of ways or it starts bothering me hope you have a quick recovery
Adam the best thing to do is get your disks fused. My dad has has 3 surgeries on his back due to herniated disks. As soon as you get them fused and fixed the pain will subside a tremendous amount
Adam, I'm an older dude and I've had issues with my back in the past and if I can give you any advice that can help with your back it would be 3things, 1-build up your core strength

Hey Adam, sorry to hear about your back, I work for the only board certified orthospinologist in North Texas, we can help no surgery no drugs!
"you said kick the door so im going to Kick the door"
Hey Adam, I'm sorry about your back and I know how you feel!!! I really hope you find the right Dr it fix your back and REALLY DON'T END UP LIKE ME!!! I have degenerative disk disease after all my surgery's I was told the disk above my fusion's is bulging now. I had 3 Dr's tell the same thing that if they have to fix that disk that it's NEVER going to stop.
This car will be the fastest you own.... especially since it has a sequential transmission going in it.
I’ve had the same back issue for 2 years. I hurt it when I was 24 and the doctors have been worthless. Good luck brotha I hope you have better luck than me!
"it's just nice and long" "Just how you like it"
4 ruptured disc here. Stretching and the back shots are a life saver. Did 1 shot and I’m back to normal
yeah a sequential is so much cooler then a auto :D and a lot more efficient
Definitely get one of those inverter chairs!!! It change my life. I had a herniated L5 would get steroid injections every 4 to 6 months (insanely expensive). But that chair 10-15 minutes a day was life changing
Dr Beau Hightower's adjustment and the hammer may relieve the discomfort. Do a video with him.
That shit is total sham
my dad herniated the same disc. and has the same problem, so did his mom (my grandma) my grandma got surgery for it and it’s only made it worse. she’s now unable to walk but has reduced pain. my dad tried these stretches with a workout band? and he’s back to feeling like he’s 30 even though he’s 50. so worth a shot adam!
Yes Adam. Shout out from Spain. I'm making a "DriftFamilyProject"- MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS video "from Drifters, by Drifters, for Drifters". Have an amazing 2021
I support this
@@pivotguy Nice one Dude
Adam, I had the same lower back thing. I saw a api. Management doctor is ready of surgery. I got 4 injections in my lower back and I’ve been 99.9% better for 4 months.
I have that back issue was told it takes years to heal
I’m in the same boat you are with your back. My L3-L5 are shot. I’ve had the epidural shots and they help but physical therapy has helped the most. Getting your core strength up also helps out a ton. My inversion table is my new bestie
Save the manual!
Also for your back go to physical therapy!
That Barra is gonna be a monster when it's done
Aw, would've loved to see a ZF 8 speed on there. Stop turning everything and anything into a race car - you can actually go fast without "ruining" a car.
I’ve had the same issue with my back. Try doing a lot of decompression and massages will make it feel so much better. Hope this helps. Please continue to share your journey
first
Nice
Hey I've been down the lower back problem road. I've had 4 lumbar back surgeries from S1 to L3 and multiple injections and have figured alot to keepy my back strong and healthy( most you can do on your own and the results are better than anything the Drs have done!)
hey adam, my name is adam too, i herniated my L4 vertebrae a few years ago, every now and again it acts up but it will get better with proper care and surprisingly lifting weights will make the pain less over time.
Freddie in the video for 2 seconds instantly said the funniest thing... i love that guy
Pro and Con. For hotroding whoop whoop and ride! Traffic calls for rpm and stay in one usable gear. Love to have one for the mantle in living room!!!
My brother had the exact same problem with his back, but his pain got so bad that he could not sleep or do anything for weeks. He had surgery just before Christmas and now his back is fine👍
FINALLY AN UPDATE VIDEO ON THE BARRASTANG!!
The best part about the screwdriver is that it actually worked really good
Gasket scrapper?

What a perfect combination , Aussie Barra power and Aussie PPG gears , can't go wrong Adam ..
Congratulations on hitting 3 million subscribers ive been watching for quite a few years now
*related to spine/back problems*
My dad (a 40 year professional bike racer) was told that this happens from always being bent over a bike, being tall, working over engine bays.
I love watching you build the gt350. You end up building it exactly how I would!
Love that there's just a casual CNC alloy intake plenum chilling on the ground, looks like a hypertune one.
I commented on the Best of 2020 that we needed more Barra content, glad to see my wish come true.
