This was the game that really hooked me on the Sims. I even tried to remake all the homes and families from Bustin' Out on the PC game. I would always wait to max out all my skills while still living at mom's house because the game would automatically fill your needs if they got too low so I'd use that "glitch" to max out my stats first before moving out.
also was the game that got me hooked to the sims. did not know about og sims or sims 2 until i visited my sisters in the summer when they introduced those games to me, and even then, bustin out was my sims bible until sims 3. thanks for the tip, 'cause it didn't ever occur to me to do that before proceeding with the game. that's gonna save me a lot of time in the later portions of the game when i go back and replay it. XD
I was given this game to play as a six year old. Immediately had it taken away for sending my sims skinny dipping. Was given it back at 8. Used the freeplay mode to make me, my sister, and our favorite cousins as a household. Built a house with no floor, ceiling, or wallpaper, and the "door" was a hole in the wall. All the sims died on the first night and the whole group of children gathered around the tv watching this game started screaming when the grim reaper showed up God i love this game, thank you for the nostalgia
I played this with my mom when i was a kid, she was not a gamer of any sort, we burnt the house down fairly immediately, not understanding what to do. We had a blast, core memory. That was the last time i played a game with my mom, hell of a memory. Thanks man.
Over the last 21 years, I've played through this game so many times it's unreal. This was my first Sims game, it was how I discovered a love for building and designing things in video games, and it has always been a part of my life. Awesome to see you finally get your hands on "the good version" of Bustin Out, thank you for this one AA!
Bustin out along with Urbz was the most “edgy” sims games. And then the gameboy/DS versions of every sims being COMPLETELY different entirely and always 10x better.
I've started to blur the lines with mods for myself, but I swear there's tons of bullying, delinquency, revenge plots etc in Sims 3. With all the expansions and esp with mods you can do some pretty wild stuff in that one.
The game that taught me english haha. Played many hundreds of hours on the PS2, always as a jock because keeping friends to be promoted was HARD as a kid.
My favorite Sims game, and ironically it's not on PC. I love the look and feel, the humor and the fact that it's based on Sims 1 but with QoL improvements.
Bustin' Out to me always felt like a fever dream, but I did enjoy working for the upgrade on your vehicle, the story was a complete change up from normal Sims, now I have to play this again.
The weird, unhinged vibes of the early Sims games continue to serve us well. I love Bustin' Out and recently booted it up again on my Wii to play alongside Urbz. Keep up the great work, every Sims fan I know loves your videos!!
Buying 5 carrots in the Sims 1 costs 45$ and you have new bills to pay every 3 days. Suddenly, 25$/h doesn't seem like a whole lot, does it? Regardless, the Sims series doesn't use any real currency but rather their own called Simoleons, and the value of things is completely out of whack.
Haha I remember this fondly! That Imposter Type-S is making me want to play Need For Speed Underground again - I was half expecting 'Get Low' to start playing as you were rolling down the road in it 😂
Percival the Clown has a really good ring to it. As long as he doesn't get involved with time travel, and as a result, he has to walk on stilts the rest of his life.
I would enjoy you experiencing the Sims 2 psp. It's vaguely similar in that it starts with your car being stolen but it's very much a story game with weird shenanigans involving cow cults and government alien conspiracy
The complete change of pace story wise for this game really drew me into the console versions. I completed this game so quickly unfortunately. It didn't have much free will as the Sims 1. Some how I prefered the Urbz over this one, mainly because there were more "quests" and customization that you could achieve.
as someone who works with technology and stuff, i can confirm that yelling at it does sometimes work, you have to make the device feel your anger so it knows its in danger of a worse fate then what your fixing.
I love how fantasy games for Sims is step one is to get non dead end job, get a girlfriend , and with your brand new house just rapidly become super rich
My first Sims game, back in the heyday of the PS2! I loved this game. Eventually I moved on to TS2 on PC and haven't replayed this title since. This is such a throwback.
This was my first ever Sims game. This is what put me on to the series, and it remains a favorite of mine today. I want more, please! Play it all the way through! I would always finish a promotion gauntlet at a place, then move back in with Mom to improve my skills and recover my needs. It worked for me. Someday, I'll finish it properly. Someday.
I LOVE the Sims Bustin' Out. When I was 13 or so I saved up all my money for my PS2 and my sister got this game. It was one of the last games we really played together before we got older, hit puberty and went our own ways. Good memories.
i always think its interesting seeing the progress of the gaming industry throughout my life span with games like this that came out around the time i was born
I had this on GameCube! The Co-op was probably pretty fun, though that might be nostalgia talking. My favorite house is the art gallery. I'd love to see more!
This kind of makes me think of kato kaelin's life. Living in someone's pool house while working as a restaurant comedian. I sure hope no one takes Percival out for hamburgers
Literally just found your channel ! And loving it so far! I couldn't believe I seen a playthrough it brought back so many memories playing bustin out ! Would like to see a second part ?
While I played a lot of the PC Sims as a kid, Sims Bustin out for Gamecube, and Sims Urbz Sims in the City for the DS were my jam on console/handheld. I was so enamored with these games. I also had Sims 1 on Xbox, but maybe I was just a little too young, I could never get past the like 3rd house in that game. These games are just charming as all hell, I miss them, and now Sims 4 is just, ugh... it's fine, I just find Maxis killing Sims 5 to continue to pump out exorbitantly expensive DLC just murdered any hope I have for the series.
This was the game that really hooked me on the Sims. I even tried to remake all the homes and families from Bustin' Out on the PC game. I would always wait to max out all my skills while still living at mom's house because the game would automatically fill your needs if they got too low so I'd use that "glitch" to max out my stats first before moving out.
me abusing the glitch (im leeching off of my parents)
Bruh, I'm literally maxing out my stats in moms house irl, my needs to get automatically refilled too.
also was the game that got me hooked to the sims. did not know about og sims or sims 2 until i visited my sisters in the summer when they introduced those games to me, and even then, bustin out was my sims bible until sims 3. thanks for the tip, 'cause it didn't ever occur to me to do that before proceeding with the game. that's gonna save me a lot of time in the later portions of the game when i go back and replay it. XD
It was the game that hooked me too. It also set the unending wish that other Sims games would have storylines and plots for me to follow lol
Same
I was given this game to play as a six year old. Immediately had it taken away for sending my sims skinny dipping. Was given it back at 8. God i love this game, thank you for the nostalgia
This….. this is art
this comment made me laugh irl. thank you for sharing
As a parent, I can confirm that Level 1 Humans also spend most of their time raging out at various things like Level 1 Sims do.
I played this with my mom when i was a kid, she was not a gamer of any sort, we burnt the house down fairly immediately, not understanding what to do. We had a blast, core memory. That was the last time i played a game with my mom, hell of a memory. Thanks man.
Man who named himself "percival beuregard" chuckling at the name "malcolm landgrabb"
Wtf so the dj s mall grab is where they have their name😮😮
*PercivalL
*Beuregard
I must know the life of PercivaL. Please continue this story exponentially.
I absolutely second this, with great haste I might add.
The "eugh" at the mop splatting on the puddle had me bustin' out, as it were, with laughter.
SPLAT! euwgh...
Over the last 21 years, I've played through this game so many times it's unreal. Awesome to see you finally get your hands on "the good version" of Bustin Out, thank you for this one AA!
this is the first and only sims games that i played… have you played sims 2? i heard it’s the same somewhat
Percival looks like he’s there on behalf of the ottoman empire.
Ottoman Borat
Yes
It's still my favorite spin-off title of sims. I got hundreds of hours out of this on my gamecube.
Bustin out along with Urbz was the most “edgy” sims games. And then the gameboy/DS versions of every sims being COMPLETELY different entirely and always 10x better.

The Sims Bustin Out for GBA and Urbz for GBA/DS are some of my favorite handheld games lol
Tuxedo, fez, glasses?
Grunkle Stan is that you?
Grunkle Stan: The Early Years

its like ShOAHping therapy 9:10
More voice cracks than Dutch Van Der Linde
Percival Beauregard looks like hes getting ready to shoot Humphrey Bogart with a mk. II Webley for violating OSHA standards.
The game that taught me english haha.
Played many hundreds of hours on the PS2, always as a jock because keeping friends to be promoted was HARD as a kid.
The little “nyooo” noise the scooter made before you traded it was so goofy I had to rewind and listen again 😂
Please make this a series. And I've love a deeper dive into the urbs
My favorite Sims game, and ironically it's not on PC. I love the look and feel, the humor and the fact that it's based on Sims 1 but with QoL improvements.
Same, I ended up buying it off ebay again (then found my actual copy with my ps2) and wired up to my TV, bliss
[Deep breath]
BUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEL GOOD
Not our chaotic froggy man naming his Sim after not one but TWO noble-esque characters from TWO seasons of Critical Role! All in one Sim!
The dreaded Monk-Gunslinger... Gunmonk? Fistslinger? Way too much power for one tiny sim to wield.
Karkat?!?!
He truly is a man of culture
Bustin' Out to me always felt like a fever dream, but I did enjoy working for the upgrade on your vehicle, the story was a complete change up from normal Sims, now I have to play this again.
This was truly the first "bustin-type" game
Did I just hear bustin'?
People have been bustin in games since even before super monkey ball bust-a-move, we're you born in 2002?
The Sims: Bustin' Out, a Hideo Kojima production.
I'll only stop clenching when I see SimsMedieval
I tried yelling and screaming at my github repository but to no avail...
Have you tried burning incense and chanting?
Incense and a critter sacrifice worked to mine!
Bustin’ makes me feel good.
Ayo?
BUSTIN', BUSTIN', BUSTIN', BUSTIN' 🎶
The weird, unhinged vibes of the early Sims games continue to serve us well. I love Bustin' Out and recently booted it up again on my Wii to play alongside Urbz. Keep up the great work, every Sims fan I know loves your videos!!
The year is 2003. The first job our sim gets pays $25 an hour. In 2003. For contrast, minimum wage in 2003 was $5.15.
Those are simoleons, not dollars.
@ivoryowl yeah in the sims a day is around a year that why in sims 4 the base setting make your sims last around 94 days so yeah that aint a lot
Now I need to see a breakdown of the sims economy and earning power
I mean to honest man I don't care about the salary as long as I can easily find a job like flipping a newspaper.
Well, you know what they say...
Bustin' makes me feel good.
"rich people make me sick to my stomach...so ill become one of them"
based.
Haha I remember this fondly! That Imposter Type-S is making me want to play Need For Speed Underground again - I was half expecting 'Get Low' to start playing as you were rolling down the road in it 😂
Early 200s sims console games were iconic.
Jesus, this game is a blast from the past I remember putting so many hours into Sims busting out in my youth
I was obsessed with this game as a kid. This was cool to see as an adult now. Thanks.
"What would you think if you saw this man in front of you sitting in traffic?" Absolutely nothing, I live in Portland, that would just be Tuesday
babe wake up AA dropped a new excentric character in some nostalgic sim game
The GameBoy version of this earned so many hours of my time.
Percival at 2:05 - "the fez stays on"
Thats a destruction darious reference right?
the fez and tiny scooter reminds me of those bears in little cars at the circus
Shriners.
"Ambiguous Amphibian The Sims Bustin' is all my notification read
Percival the Clown has a really good ring to it. As long as he doesn't get involved with time travel, and as a result, he has to walk on stilts the rest of his life.
bro looks like a young turk teleported to 21st century to bussing out
14:06 Steve-O started out as a clown, we all gotta start somewhere.
these old sims games were peak gaming to me as a child and still kinda is ngl
'illegal move' is what we like to call crime.
My favorite part is when percival exclaimed "its bustin' time!" to his mom
Ah sims content, gives me comfort as always
I would enjoy you experiencing the Sims 2 psp.
It's vaguely similar in that it starts with your car being stolen but it's very much a story game with weird shenanigans involving cow cults and government alien conspiracy
The Imposter Type-S is quintessential 2003 culture, and rad as hell👌
"i hardly did anything at all" after fixing something is already half way to being an engineer. good job, PercivaL
We're making it out of The Sims with this one
🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥
I do miss your sophisticated and poetic narration from your classic vids. Glad you’re still around though!
opposite for me, that narration was what stopped me watching his videos
Playing the sims split-screen was such a beautifully chaotic experience
"No I'm never gonna do it without the fez on
Oh no
No I'm never gonna do it without the fez on
Oh no
That's what I am"
Ambiguous is really good at making Sims that look both very dapper, but also total creeps
Can we just appreciate how much better animated the scooter is than any vehicle in any Sims game since?
The complete change of pace story wise for this game really drew me into the console versions. I completed this game so quickly unfortunately. It didn't have much free will as the Sims 1. Some how I prefered the Urbz over this one, mainly because there were more "quests" and customization that you could achieve.
to quote the wise words of Ray Parker Jr., "Bustin' makes me feel good"
"amazing, my astrological sign is cancer. we're off to such a great start" hits too close to home (perhaps i might cry about it)
Percival Lafayette Beuaregard looks like a Sasha Baron Cohen character lmao
“That’s enough for today” Audible sigh of sadness from the audience
If talking to yourself got you charisma irl I’d be a rizz god.
Is it just me, or is Mimi Landgrabb kind of cute?
That car you unlock is painfully 2003.
Felt like a downgrade after his sweet scooter that matched his fez.
My favourite console version of the Sims is the PS2 version of The Sims 2, but this is a close second.
Like trying to fit into my suit from high school… I am also bustin out
i love when ambustiousamphibian starts bustin' out all over the place
sims 3 is a game, that i LOVE to play every once in a while
your videos really wanna make me play sims 1 and the spinoffs
as someone who works with technology and stuff, i can confirm that yelling at it does sometimes work, you have to make the device feel your anger so it knows its in danger of a worse fate then what your fixing.
Other spinoffs? No, no, I wish to see this journey continue. PErcy must BUST
I played the GBA version of this game, and it's totally different. It's probably because of nostalgia but I think it's better.
Naw the BGA Bustin Out is insane and all the better for it. Open world Sims with Ghosts? Aliens? Crime Rings? It's incredible.
For real though, stunt work should get an Academy Award category. It is indeed a very real job.
It's insane that you can max every skill while still living with your mom.
After watching this I took a nap and woke in a cold sweat, for I have remembered an obscure Sims game I owned called; Sims Agents
Oh god I still have that one
I love how fantasy games for Sims is step one is to get non dead end job, get a girlfriend , and with your brand new house just rapidly become super rich
My first Sims game, back in the heyday of the PS2! I loved this game. Eventually I moved on to TS2 on PC and haven't replayed this title since. This is such a throwback.
The pixel amphibian sprite is just so charming
Miss your mum so you call and she starts criticizing you immediately... Hyper realistic.
Bustin' makes Percival feel good, it seems.
The best Sims game on the GBA for sure! I think I played it also a bit on the GameCube.
Sims medieval was an amazing spinoff
Here I was expecting Uncle Hayseed to open the game by yelling at you
this version is uh.. different
San Andreas would have been so much more entertaining if CJ wore a fez the whole game.
Percival's story weirdly feels like written by Vince Gilligan. One of the best videos in a while!
Dali mustache is always superior
The metal station on this game had a bangin soundtrack
I played the hell out of this game. If I remember correctly, there is a fountain that unlocks dancing icons for every career you complete.
i always think its interesting seeing the progress of the gaming industry throughout my life span with games like this that came out around the time i was born
I love how genuinely excited you are after being promoted!!
I hope this becomes a series to the end. Always loved Bustin' out
I had this on GameCube! The Co-op was probably pretty fun, though that might be nostalgia talking. My favorite house is the art gallery. I'd love to see more!
As a child, i thought this game was easy, as an adult, I've never passed lv 1 IRL 😂😂😂
This kind of makes me think of kato kaelin's life. Living in someone's pool house while working as a restaurant comedian. I sure hope no one takes Percival out for hamburgers
This is the best The Sims simply because it's sincerely whimsical and charming.
Literally just found your channel ! And loving it so far! I couldn't believe I seen a playthrough it brought back so many memories playing bustin out ! Would like to see a second part ?

Pixel phebian is my favorite now
AA playing weird sims spinoffs in my favorite genre of video
I like that the narrator didn't feel as angry in this one.
