05:50 - 𝗤:01 - Sometime cart struggles moving forward issue - Hi there! Our electric club cart runs for only a few mins after fully charged. It starts jerking and has a super slow pace like it’s about to die. Note, we just replaced the batteries. Any suggestions or advice on how to repair it? Thanks so much.
    07:19 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
07:58 - 𝗤:02 - Cart belt issue - I have a ‘90 two-stroke EZGO, that won't charge the battery. I put a new voltage regulator in it and still won't charge. Starts and runs just fine. Any idea what I can try next?
09:15 - 𝗤:03 - Cart wouldn’t go forward/reverse issue - I replaced my acid batteries with lithium on my RXV about a year ago. Since then, I have experienced complete losses of power while driving, usually at full speed. I have to cross my wire harness to get the brakes to reset. Never happened before I put lithium in. I installed a battery balancer to make up for different charge and discharge rates and it seemed to help for a while but now the cart is doing it again.
    10:35 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
11:50 - 𝗤:04 - How to find out cart bad igniter - I have a Yamaha model DR2E17T ELECTRIC CART with horn, lights, and 2x USB ports. I converted my 48 v nominal electric cart to lithium batteries. I burned out my step-down dc-dc converter. which converter do you recommend?
13:12 - 𝗤:05 - Cart forward or reverse switch issue - I have an EZGO 36v series with a Curtis controller. When I turn the key on, the solenoid clicks but no movement when I press the accelerator. All wires are clean and tight, good batteries.
    15:15 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
15:30 - 𝗤:06 - Cart drive clutch issue - I’ve inherited a 2009 Club Car Precedent golf cart and trying to locate the solenoid. I do not see it under the seat or below the batteries.
17:13 - 𝗤:07 - Cart charging receptacle issue - I'm wanting to make my 2011 EZGO EFI go faster to at least keep up with some of the electric cars, I would say the electric carts are going 25mph or
more. I have watched lots of videos and read lots of stuff, but most don't talk about the fuel-injected golf cart.
18:28 - 𝗤:08 - Cart MCOR issue - New batteries installed but the golf cart will not get to top speed.
    20:13 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
21:54 - 𝗤:09 - Cart shock recommendations - I have an electric EZGO golf cart. I just replaced the solenoid as the cart was malfunctioning. After replacement, the cart ran great. Now I press on the
pedal, and nothing happens, no click nothing. I kicked the pedal ahead from the bottom a few times and it clicks and then goes. It’s fine then as long as I leave it in the drive. When I shut it off and back on the same thing happens.
    31:13 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
34:04 - 𝗤:10 - The cart does not have any speed issues - My 2003 Club Car is 48v. I have a 6 8v Trojan. Those batteries are between 4 and 6 years old. After charging the cart I went to take it out for a drive and within 40 yards there was a loud pop under the seat. I took a look and saw where one of the battery caps was popped open and fumes coming out. I later used a multimeter. The battery in question only tests 6.2 volts. I found a cheap replacement and charged it up and it seems that everything else is fine, but I've lost some power on the uphill. I guess my question is it cheaper to buy a 36-volt motor and run off my current batteries and will that work? Thank you for your time and again, I really like your channel.

As to question #1 from anonymous. That is, as you said, a battery issue. I would bet money that the causation is in the charger or the outlet it is plugged into. I had the same issue with a Taylor Dunn immediately after we purchased it (used...2002 model) and, after replacing the batteries, realized the on board Lister charger was turning off sometime shortly after bring plugged in by an employee. He was plugging it into a heavy duty footlong extension cord with a triple head. What was happening was that the weight of the cord added to the already heavy end of the extension cord was causing the male end of the extension cord to seperate far enough from the outlet that the connection was compromised. I walked past it one night, heard a rapid clicking sound and realized what was happening. Unfortunately, that stroke of luck didn't rectify the problem. The several nights of having a weak connection to the outlet resulted in a terminal meltdown of a relay inside the charger. Not your "run of the mill" relay... soldered to a secondary board that in turn bolted to the main board. Turned out to be the most expensive three terminal relay in the known universe. In short, brand new batteries don't just fail, they are forced to fail by "something" else.
    🤔

I have a 1997 ezgo best i can tell. It quit going last week the batteries are 7/21 duracell all are showing 6.4 to 6.5 volts. Solenoid clicking and at the m terminal on controler (with test light) light starts out dim and goes to bright as i push pedal as with the solenoid and positive at the controler. At motor all 4 terminals do the same start dim and go bright as i press pedal. Forwards or reverse.

Also showing 40.8v across the main polles. I replaced all the inter connecting battery wires with 2/0 welding lead and tinned copper lugs, as some were coroded in the wires.

Thanks for watching, Garry! You may want to load test those batteries. Even one bad cell in one battery can cause issues and we even see that with new batteries sometimes. Next would be a series wound motor test. You can find videos on that by searching here on UA-cam. If you need further assistance, get in touch! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934. 18:00 my 36v ezgo quit today with similar issues. At first it was no movement and solenoid was clicking when I pressed pedal. I pulled the covers to troubleshoot solenoid and controller. Shortly after it stopped clicking and clicked when I turned the key on. No movement. I’m not sure where voltage should be at on each wire but I have 36v (pack voltage) at the coil wires. I’m assuming the microswitch is bad. Pressing the gas I’m seeing voltage change but nothing happens. Nothing put out to the motor from the black box control module. Will the micro switch keep it from moving?

Thanks for watching! If you've got 36V going to the controller/motor, you don't have enough to drive on. 36V will only allow voltage through to the motor. When you're charged full, you'll have closer to 40V and you drive on that voltage above 36. At 36V, your cart is basically dead. You may have a battery or charger issue to be addressed before worrying about switches. I have a 2002 EZGO TXT PDS. It has two lights. The wires were cut. How do I reestablish the wiring and what are they connected to.
    😅

Thanks for watching, Paul! That cart may or may not have been factory issued with lights. There are dozens of aftermarket light brands and wiring. Typically, though, if the lights were installed properly... they should be wired to a harness that takes power from a voltage reducer drawing from the whole battery pack. In this situation, we'd install a new lighting package for the sake of the wiring harnessing because you'd have to know the origin of the lights that are there to get the wiring. I have a 2013 easy go TXT golf cart, when I turn on the headlights it loses speed sporadically, but the headlights don’t dim. Could it be a speed sensor?

Hello. Headlights should not cause any speed loss. I would need info on your batteries. Mainly age and voltage readings.

I need help. 36V 2007 EZGO. The batteries are fine. I rode it with a lot of resistance up the hill. The batteries got hot. I went for a hike, came back and the cart wouldn't move. I hear the click when I engage the pedal. Please help.

Thanks for watching, Roy. Hilly terrain can heat up batteries, especially if the EZGO is lifted. Heat can also be a symptom of improper water level, loose or corroded connections, or a battery with a bad cell. We recommend a load test and to check the other conditions we just mentioned. If you're still having issues, you can get an appt for a video call diagnosis with our team here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/

hello, I have a question. I have a 48 V easy go. My husband removed the tire because we were hearing allows squeak while we were driving and he thought it was something from the break so he removed the tire and cleaned inside the drum area and reattached the drum without putting the tire back on while he had it lifted, he hit the gas to see if he heard the squeak again while it was spinning. After he did that the golf cart will no longer run. We have no idea what happened or what he could have burnt out doing this, but it seems to have messed up something because it simply won’t move now. Any ideas what this could be? thanks. I appreciate it.

If you hear the solenoid clicking, then the engine should be trying to turn over. Could the battery be weak?
