Thank you for saving her and keeping her on the road Brad! Jaime looks great! That light bar turned out stellar and looks fantastic! Definitely motivates me to get my Goldilocks under the knife and start wrenching on her! Keep up the quality content!
Thanks for the update! Please keep these videos coming! We just got an XJ a few months ago and we are working on turning it into a overlander as well and we (my husband and I) really enjoy these videos!
I'm a JK owner, but I love the XJ's too! I think you should put some black plastic fender flairs on there to break up all the red a bit and provide some needed muck protection.
Thank for posting about the XJ. I have one and I am trying to decide whether to pull off the factory flares for more ground clearance. I like the look of your's without the flares.
Nice...Sorry Brad I liked the blue better, the red is just too much for me...Put on some flat style flares and she would look better.Just my opinion....
@@paulbrowning1758 Many companies make them and they are used alot. You can get the rustys offroad or affordable offroad metal flat flairs with armour. They also have the bushwacker plastic flat flairs. Those are used the most i think.
Great looking truck and great work on paint and body. I am glad you resurrected the Cherokee and I am sure your son is going to love it even more. Cheers 🍻
The classic look is so clean to this jeep. It's very tastefully done and any guy around in the 80s and 90s can definitely appreciate the look of the chrome rims with no fender flares or anything like that. Even tho I think it would also look good with some black contrast I also think this would be fine as is to go play with and daily drive as well. Glad nobody was hurt in the crash too badly.
This red really brings back memories of not only the red XJ my parents had when I was younger, but also the red XJ I bought when I got my license. Really would've liked to see a KC Pro6 light bar on the XJ just like the JK but what's on there now still looks great. As far as a roof rack goes, I'd highly recommend the front runner slimline. It mounts to the gutters and is very versatile. I had it on my XJ and would gladly buy it again when the time for another XJ comes around.
Wow, love the new look! She looks just like my 1989 XJ Limited that was in the exact same red. I drove that XJ for 10-12 years and 200K+ miles without a single major problem. I hope you guys have the same goodluck with Jamie now that she's back on the road. Looking forward to seeing more videos of her out on the trail!
Love chili pepper red on an XJ. Glad you were able to save her, Brad! The work looks great. I think a set of Bushwhacker flat flares would look great on there.
Wow, I love the colour it just brings out the whole Jeep now!! I would keep a black and red theme, the red & black combination really looks great. I would go for a clean look approach. It's great to see the Jeep save turned out even better than it was originally. Keep the new JX videos coming!!
Aw man I loved the old color...I guess red isn't just my color. Either way though I love this jeep I'd want an identical one. Too bad up here in Canada they are all rotted
I live in BC and there is tons of super clean XJ we don’t get snow in the lower mainland rarely so no salt mine has absolute no rust just a bit on floorboard from the notorious passenger side leak from blower motor
what a great looking XJ! Love the color and plates! The long, rectangular look of the front end and the straight lines of the old Cherokees are so classic. After my Wrangler gets here, and when my Suzuki Wagon R finally kicks the bucket, I'm gonna look into importing a Cherokee. (JAPAN)
I have a '99 in the blue/teal color and hated it at first because I wanted the classic red. Now the blue has grown on me... but I don't blame you for the repaint. Red is classic and it looks great! I like fenders for the extra (if only slight) protection and splash guard when going through mud.
Wow Jamie looks beautiful just stick a green bow on the hood and your ready for the Holidays. Can't wait for more additional addons. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🎁
Congrats Brad and sons! I'm so happy that you were able to put her back together and keep another XJ on the road and trails. Personally I would do the aftermarket flares. I have the naked flares on our XJ and its really a pain with the larger tires flinging mud and water everywhere. And now that you have that amazing new paint, you're going to want to protect it. I just bought a set of flares for my XJ, though my paint is no where near what yours is now. The contrast of the flares will set off the color nicely. Of course you will have to cut into that body and paint to get the flares on. But the end product will look great!
When we first came out here from pa someone ran a sign and tboned us. Totaled the xj. I was depressed for sure but here in Nevada there all rust free so we bought 2 more 92s lol. One limitied one Laredo. Love the xj, been driving them since high school.
Looks great! Accidents happen, I hit ice with my Jk and the passenger side was damaged pretty badly but is being repaired now! Sucks at the time but life goes on! Fantastic jeep brother!
So glad to see the xj back in action, congrats! I have to agree with everyone else who said put some black fender flares on her, it will look fantastic against the red. Cheers
great body and paint. I have an old 97 XJ that needs paint and body but first I need to get it to a good engine and transmission guy.. If you know of one around Santee\lakeside\el cajon \ alpine, I'd really appreciate it! Need to get her back on the road!
Brad, all I can say is WOW ! I can not believe that is the same XJ that survived the earlier roll-over, and the new color change looks great. You were fortunate to have found a good body shop in Mexico to do the work. Since the XJ was "saved" by a Mexican body shop, and your previous great adventures in Baja, along with the new color("Chili"), maybe the XJ should be named after a Senorita ?
The black rubber mats I saw in a video, are those full carpet replacements? Getting ready to pull the carpet out in my 2001 XJ, I don't see them on the amazon link. Also where do you have the Ham radio mounted?
Love the red. My XJ I’m building for trail jam is a 98 that’s red going longarm 4.5 31’s rock sliders front and rear bumpers winch and roof rack. Undecided on the a pillar pod mounts not sure if I want to punch holes in my Jeep just for lighting yet.. keep up the work love the vids y’all keep it up!!!
The front fenders on mine kept getting hit when wheeling so went with Rustys off-road fender flares, but yes looks cleaner without them if you can get your bumpstops dialed in for your tire size, you can order Rustys flares raw and have them paint matched to your new color, that would look sick! He did a good job on the body too!
I run my xj naked which in returns gives me an amazing wide stance, the only downside is having tiny rock chips all over the front 2 doors! Great looking XJ
Like the look as well. One other thing is you can get pulled over and ticketed for not having the wheels covered as the rock fling off at speed. Most cops won't care, but you get that one stickler and it's ticket time.
Wow! The XJ is looking great. My vote is for color matched flares, either the flat bushwackers or notch customs. Rear storage videos would be cool to see on this thing, and of course wheeling videos. Keep up the great content!
Love the red! Now you've got a silver and red Jeep to match your silver and red logo. I had a 97' 5spd XJ black but wanted a red. I think they look the best with no fender flares! A black rock rail and roof rack would accent it so well.
I agree, I think the Blue looked a lot better than the red, I'm planning to change the color of mine from silver to a bluish grey or just flat black...
The red looks like my dad's old 88 Cherokee Chief's color. Also, I've loved the look of your KC light bar on your JK, but didn't know how it would translate to my XJ. It looks great, and it'll be something I put on my XJ. Jamie looks perfect. I think it needs fender flares - check out Napier's. They have the same angles as stock.
Looks great Brad! Nice choice with the red and really liking the no flares actually but I think maybe some color matched flat flares would set Jamie off. I drive an 06 TJ but started following your channel when I had my 01 XJ and just love your adventures, passion for Jeeps and the time and effort you take with the videos. Keep it up!
Heres my question, what do guys do with heavily modified jeeps and trucks where the frames and suspension do not come even close to matching the factory measurements lol? Does that mean if some prius rear ends you and your off road bumper gets a tiny scratch on it the rig is 100% totaled because the insurance company says your frame isn't to spec?
Glad it turned out well. Marco is a good friend for helping you find that guy.
Marco is a great friend and always super helpful!
I say black flares and black wheels!

Happy to see the XJ back in action, and very glad no one was seriously injured. Nice choice on the color, it looks great.
Loved the blue paint and the black wheels...the red with polished wheels not so much...but it's all about personal preferance.
Yes, add fender flares. The contrast will look good.
Looks great 👍🏻 I prefer the blue color tho
I'm a JK owner, but I love the XJ's too! I think you should put some black plastic fender flairs on there to break up all the red a bit and provide some needed muck protection.
Some fenders are now on the top of the to-do list. Thanks!
Thank for posting about the XJ. I have one and I am trying to decide whether to pull off the factory flares for more ground clearance. I like the look of your's without the flares.
miss the old wheel/tire combo and the blue color. Glad to hear it all turned out for you though.
Great work and attention to detail deserves many more customers. Hope that guy gets lots of business.
Thanks for keepin another xj out there👍
Nice...Sorry Brad I liked the blue better, the red is just too much for me...Put on some flat style flares and she would look better.Just my opinion....
All good man, that's what we have so many colors to choose from to suit each of our tastes.
I agree, blue was better. So many red Jeeps.
Not sure that I've seen an XJ with flat flares before.
@@paulbrowning1758 Many companies make them and they are used alot. You can get the rustys offroad or affordable offroad metal flat flairs with armour. They also have the bushwacker plastic flat flairs. Those are used the most i think.
Gotta agree with ya Dan. Only because ever single dang red bike, car or 4 wheeler I've ever had gave me a ticket, then left me for another man!
She looks fantastic!! Glad to see the her back in her new glory!! Looks good without the flares and all the trim removed!
Great looking truck and great work on paint and body.
I am glad you resurrected the Cherokee and I am sure your son is going to love it even more.

Wow! Jamie looks fantastic! Suitable name for the old XJ. Admittedly, I'm old enough to remember the show too!
I watched way too much Bionic Woman when I was a kid... no cable TV back or Netflix back then, you had to pay attention to that TV guide!
Now Jorge, that's the ticket! Great job mi amigo. And, red is good for it.
He did a tremendous job…paint application is impressive!
I agree! Flat Fender Flares look awesome and protect the side of the Jeep, especially with that new paint job.
Nicely done! Beautiful color choice so many folks don't like the red! I think it stands out and goes with the theme going on there!
Great color I own my self a red XJ, loved the wheels! What a great work he did, bravo,..,!
