I paid $800 when I bought it from a local guy (original price from website was $945) and then I added the fox shocks that - $400 the set of 4. The only reason I got the RC lift kit was because of the price. It is an "ok" system for beginners.
@Top Fuel sheeesh lol, I got the same jeep but haven’t done nothing to it yet, I want to so bad but I don’t know much about how to do it all rn and I’m scared I’m gonna mess something up fr
The ideas here are great, as a Jeep owner for the last 23 years, I can appreciate the custom work that can be done to XJ, WK, and ZJ Jeeps which are very cheap to buy in the UK and maintain if you pick the right ones that have not been abused too much. I run a WK 5.7 HEMI on LPG which gives me the same running costs as a small car.
How reliable is the XJ? I’m currently looking to get one and mod it with a friend of mine. I have one with a 90k miles on my sight but I wanna make sure the motor won’t bust. I’m not a huge 4x4 guy, i would mostly use it in the city and the occasional weekend off roading.
@@ElPlantPapi I would say they are great engine wise with the 4.0, but watch out for breaking plastics on 20 year old trucks. Lucky for you the aftermarket for the XJ is there to cater for all the parts you'll need. If I was going to buy one now, it would have to be the 2001 in yellow

My good friend’s mother owns an XJ very similar to this one with the ax15 5 speed in it... neat old trucks! Can’t hardly kill a 4.0 inline 6; torquey too!
Looks nice I’m on my 4th Cherokee that I’ve redone from the ground up I love these old Jeep’s. Biggest had 7 inches of lift and the smallest has 3 inches of lift. I prefer to buy 93-95 Cherokees as I find them to be owned by original owners a lot more and I’ve found them to be better maintained. Last one I bought for a grand was in perfect shape 1 owner.

I bought a 2001 grand Cherokee with the 4.0 6 cylinder and has 163k miles, got it for less then 2k$ and has been running GREAT I already took it on a camping trip from Vegas to Cali, I spray painted the bumpers and trim all matte black and just spray painted my rims chrome black 🔥 I put some offroad tires on it and probably going to get some new halogen headlights and a 3-4 inch lift
