12V 100A DC from 220v AC for High Current DC Motor - Power Supply from UPS Transformer

- In this video I am going to use are UPS transformer for making a 12 volts super high current power supply upto 100 Amp which is going to be DC. So I am going to use 220 volts AC from my home socket and convert it to 12 volts DC for charging my batteries and run some 12 volt loads.
For improving the DC line and as a mini filter circuit, i have used a large capacitor at the output while you can use any capacitor operating from 15v to 100v with a capacitance from 1000 micro Farad to 100,000 microfarad.

Смотрю и ахереваю, сначала протестил один трансформатор дешёвым кривым мультиметром, потом воткнул другой трансформатор, взял диодный мост и мощный кондер, на светодиодных лампа показал постоянка, потом давай цеплять различные моторы и демонстрировать что там ампераж огромный, а тут все крутится, так вот
1) искра и резкий старт за счёт мощного конденсатора, пока он не просядет, моментально, автор даже ждёт когда он зарядится, чтобы красочней искрануть
2) постоянный мотор на 12в 20а и от зарядки телефонной потихоньку крутится, но если хотябы рукой затормозить, то сразу амперы взлетают, транс не тянет, итого все останавливается.
3) трансформатор на 12в 100а будет в разы больше этого, раз так в цать
Итого - пиздешь чистой воды, направленный на впечатлительных и малограмотных

The rectifier unit is never of 100 amps capacity. It can be rated for 12 volts, 10 amps dc out maximum continuous. Any dc motor designed for 12 volts will rotate at less rpm on no load. If we load them beyond 10 amps, definitely the bridge rectifier or the main step down transformer will burn out as there is no fuse provided.

Этот ток, который ты показываешь на экране, является номинальным током при номинальной нагрузке, а моторы крутятся без какой-либо нагрузки. Там от силы не более 10А.
Там диодный мост сгорит , у него максимум 50 Ампер

Трансформатор должен иметь мощность не мение 1200вт. Все двигатели постоянного тока включаються через сопротивление. При подачи (изначально ) напряжения на двигатель обмотка его имеет очень малое сопротивление . Что бы погасить пусковой ток в разрыв включается сопротивление. Чем большая мощность эл двигателя , тем сопротивление меньше.
да и мост такой 100А не выдержит, особенно без радиатора с активным охлаждением..(около 200Вт тепла на нем).

Довольно тяжёлая штука. Однако по нынешним временам такое могут посчитать шиком, и тогда ставим обычную свинцово-кислотную аккумуляторную батарею.

Good circuit for didactic purposes only. To be use for beginners on electrical or electronic training courses. With a supercapacitor of few farads you can reach 100 amper for few millisecond. Never to be use to supply a starting motor to start a car. Engine's flywheel will turn only for 1 or 2° from that on you have to push the car to start engine if battery is flat.

Для такого трансформатора работа и в 10 А является тяжёлым режимом. На практике он обычно работает еще меньшим током.

Судя по размеру трансформатора его мощность около 200 ватт,значит на вторичной обмотке при 12 вольтах он не даст более 20 ампер.В схеме установлен 35 амперный диодный мост-который моментально бы пробило при100 амперах!Можно показывать какие угодно моторчики с этикетками в 100 ампер ,где амперметр включенный в цепь ,который показал бы заявленный ток в 100ампер!?

A servo is a motor whos angle can be precisely controlled only upto 180 or in 360 degrees using a microcontroller and it dose this with the help of a rotary encoder connected to the motor ot monitor its position . It is mainly used in robotics and industries . It's rotational speed is slow compared to other motors but gives huge amount of torque which enables it to be used In heavy duty tasks . This config can damage 12V loads, because 13.6V AC times ✓2 (in case 1.41) is equal about 19V after rectifier and filter capacitor.
To have 12V on output is needed to have about 9V to 9,5 V max on input, I had a sound amplifier damaged because it's transformer was damaged by a overload and gave about 13V AC on output.

Для хорошего трансформатора из хорошего ИБП предельный ток 30 ампер.
ИБП не киловаттные. При 100 амперах на проводах сопротивлением 0,1 ома упадет 10 вольт. Выходное напряжение трансформатора от ИБП при обратном включении 12-14 вольт (рабочее).

This is not 1200VA transformer. Judging from it's size it is no more than 600VA transformer at most, found in a normal household UPS.
I have a 1000VA transformer and it is nearly triple in size which you have to be a bodybuilder to lift it with a one arm.
I have tens of these exactly the size transformers salvaged from 400VA to most 600VA UPS's.

A motor without a load doesn't take its rated current. So you have to connect an Amp meter to see the actual current and a volt meter to know the voltage.
Peak start-up current is many times higher than rated. But every transformer can supply a lot of current for a short while. And that large capacitor helps in that. However, that tiny rectifier can't handle such current draw.
But yes, current without load is much less than loaded.

You cannot get 100 amps from drawing only 500 milliamps,you will have at least 7 amps of current drawn and that's only if your transformer is at least 75% efficient

probably not very long that wire can definitely not handle 100 amps continuously. though I doubt the other components do either

When you say "12V, 105A" that's what the motor can draw under load (better yet, the amount of current the windings can take before heat becomes a problem), but that motor of yours has no load therfore sucking much MUCH less current than the rated value printed on the label.

This trasformer was made to step up the voltage from 220v to 12v? I made a transformer from microwave oven transformer in reverse , I took out the high voltage wire and put in isolated thick wire with some 15 turns to get 12v, but I didnt use any caoacitor only bridge rectifier. With this I run windscreen wiper 100w motor to run a grill roast. The transformer was heating very much and in the end it burnt out. What was the problem? That transformer kan never deliver 100 amps And that startermotor is 105 amp under load not as u used it it freewheels the currend drawn is mayby 7 or 8 amp

The motor gets power from the capacitor that can provide many amperes. And the ac current is rectified through the bridge. The question is what capacitor he uses and how he select this?
