- In this video, i will use a 12v 2 Amp Transformer and a fan speed controller to make a variable output voltage power supply for operating DC Motor and charging my 12v Batteries.
Capacitors are optional but their use makes the output dc line smooth.

That is brilliant power supply for a range of stuffs for a battery charger,and some motors using d.c voltage.
Super for those who do not understand electronics. For the effect, you need car candles and a couple of magnets.
Great video, i found here what i was searching for along, but wasn't able to find. This fan switch trick was what solved my problem to control the 18v to decrease to 14.4v to fully charge a 12v battery.

the one which has highest resistance is the primary and the one with lowest is the secondary

The primary using dimmer switch which is a Triac phase control to control primary voltage of transformer, and the secondary is standard bridge diode with capacitor filter..

i bought a cheap fan switch, it have a 500K potentiometer inside it and it is not working for me, it is just changing the values between 16.5v up to 16.2volts. What do you think what should i do to solve it like you ? normally without switch it outputs 18volts.

You'd need some curent limit, for not burning the transformer, it's a bit small.
It can handle 15 amps continuous without burning.

That charger can not boil and full charge the 12n12 battery so that is easy to discharge. Low ampere transformer

What if you were to cornet the battery to a 240v inverter and run the transformer off of the invert? Would you create a looped power system? Would it charge itself?

2 coils accumulate magnetic field when current passes through winding. These coils smooth pulsation which still can present after first capacitor depending on current drawn by load.

And what do you expect to see there except of 220V? It would make more sense to measure consumed current in primary winding.
