- Spirit Guardians OP. Feats: +2 WIS and I took Resilient: Constitution just so I never lose SG. Armor gives Advantage on Constitution Saving Throws.
If you start the fight by attacking him during the cutscene, the game won't automatically raise his minions and he will attempt to raise them on his first turn. Which can be counterspelled. Very funny
It's also the same against the witch in act 1. If you approach close to her in stealth by going around, you have time to cast silence sphere to prevent her from splitting as a "scripted scenario"
That doesn't work for me, it doesn't give me the option to Counterspell that.
There is even funnier thing, You can move all bones which going to be raised in one place and place near them a few barrels, and when he raises them all they die from that barrel explotion all together
Ahhh. I could have sworn on one save I counterspelled his summon, but then suddenly it wasn't working. Stab in the back, it is!
I always use the boots that make it so you can’t go prone while concentrating, if you have that plus baldur’s helmet plus the ring that prevents paralysis you only need to worry about having high concentration. The necklace from the house of hope giving you advantage on concentration checks plus high constitution and there is a feat which lets you add you proficiency bonus to concentration checks. After that I focus on Armon and gear that increases my spell save dc and I become a spirit guardian wrecking ball dashing all over the place
You can fight him in his room in Shar Gauntlet, you trade fight with large army of fragile skeletons against more predictable and collateral-damage tolerant fight against his giant golem and pack of paralysing ghoules. But, who cares if you can take the necromancer off in first turn and than it become trivial to kill everything else.
The golem's not so bad, really, and the ghouls are easy to turn if you have a cleric. If not, someone with the Blood of Lathander from the Monastery can easily win the day.
@@spiderham7632 Golem can't jump, by the way. You can barricade the room entrance and shoot everyone inside.
@@AlexAnder-dh8qz Yeah, I just had a party of clerics and melee combatants so I could just tank it all.
The bloodlust elixir and spirit guardians vs undead makes for a funny combination
Unfortunate you don't have a simplified build guide for this particular build. Would love to try it from new.
Its not hard. Just get high armor class and nice to have movement speed eq. Advantage on constitution saving throws in armor piece or elixir or feat (war caster). Can pick Resilient: Constitution feat as cleric dont have con saving throw profiecency or mby pick 1 lvl fighter to have that and also get 1AC from fighting style. With this you basicly cant lose concentration on Spirit Guardians. For regular attacks Id sugest hand crossbows or mby that legendary mace I have here.
Balthazar. I have an army of the undead
cleric: hold my beer
Did you save the game at multiple spots to remake and test out builds?
Wanted to say, love your videos! I watched a ton during early access. I'm excited to try some of my own solo builds against some of the tougher fights in the game (once I get through this "blind" playthrough...)
I finished this game already so I know the fights and what to expect. I picked Cleric here becouse there is ton of enemies. Perfect for Spirit Guardians as it dont care how many enemies are on the field, you are only restrained by movement range. Thanks for comment :)
@@thorusin I've got to ask... favorite build so far? Anything you think would solo the game pretty easily? My guess is all classes are fair contenders
@@ibyJamin always pick a monk
Well that was quick
I love the fact the gfx settings and FPS is similar to my experience xDD
This has been the hardest boss fight in the entire game for me, my only chance of winning was using Karlach to yeet him off the edge.
Dude, I've killed him in his room. Trust me, it was much harder then this fight with a bunch of weak skeletons dying from one hit.
I found it super easy in his room since it's pretty small and you cant get shoved into the abyss@@Higurashika
If you have counterspell you can counter him rising his army, lol.
bro idk how your gonna deal with the later fights lmao
@@yoshypl9901 Counterspell uses a reaction, and he gives himself Haste. So he attacks twice with either Cloud Kill or Ray of Sickness - both do a tremendous amount of damage. Counterspell can disrupt one but not the other.
Ah yes, the walking simulator build
Radiant orb armor with radiant gloves would pop off super hard here
nicely done. sometimes its nice to not do 600 damage in one turn and do things the good ole way
If the player uses a wizard and counterspells, Balthazar does not spawn the minions and is really easy to vainquish
It's even easier with Cleric and turn undead.
Ah, the bey-blade build. Nice.
I stacked explosive barrels in his room and boom. Problem solved haha
see yall fought old boy i started convo with him switched to karlach and shoved him off the platform
How do you get so much movement? Apart from speedpot Im noob but that mace did work in this fight for me. Im playing druid which is super fun but when i play shadowheart i have fuck all movement spirit guardian is still strong tho.
What i really dont understand is how it is possible for you to have 3 Action points each turn? 😳
Potion of speed gives him an extra action point, elixir of bloodlust gives him another one every time he kills an opponent ( max 1 per turn ) so he has 3 effectively
hey, bro! Please tell me, after killing a mob, you have +1 to the main action, what effect is triggered?
Elixir of Bloodlust
Thank you )@@thorusin
Hi. Will there be a video about your character builds?
I just use invisibility and thunderwave to throw him
How did you avoid Attacks of Opportunity?
This mace makes undead blind when you are close to them.
For me it was just Cheesing the boss battle.
I toggled invisibility on my barbarian and kicked him into the abyss
how on earth do you have three actions points??
3 actions... Typical BG3 experience
How do you get third action point?
how do you have 3 actions
nice vid but why do u use guiding bolt level 1 and not lvl 4 or 5 to short the battle ?
Probably just wants to set up advantage, not use up the higher level spell slot?
GB 1 is enough to kill the minions, why waste a L2 or L3 spell slot ?
Yeah I just snuck behind him and thunderwaved him off the map
wait, how did you get spirit guardians?
By leveling up?
If you didn't skip most content of act 1, you should be lv5 by the time the quest to go to mountain pass appears. Underdark has many opportunities for levelling,
@@yunsha9986 more like level 8 by the time you have killed everyone and everything on your way from act 1 till this point xD
cheat lol
