Ok. We're going to need a long drive road test with hubby exercising these speakers to their limit while Jill is driving to find the limits of these speakers. I'm thinking 10 to 12 hours should do it. Rock on hubby! (I need to stop replying before the entire review is done.)
Nice video, & keep up the good work, but the stereo specs shown are for the Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Cherokee L has 950 watts vs 1375 for the GW. Also, the GCL has 19 speakers vs 23 in the GW, along with a 10 inch subwoofer instead of a 12. The GCL has a smaller interior space so the sound properties probably aren't diminished much from the GW, if at all. That being said, I've driven my Baltic Gray Hemi Overland GCL about 4500 miles so far, & agree that it's an absolutely astonishing sound system. I love those historic glowing blue Macintosh amp VU meters on the Jeep's screen, because I've longed for an American-made Macintosh home amp since the 80s. However, they were always price prohibitive. I'm still using my old & faithful NAD amp from that time period, haha. What I dislike is the sound system's noise-cancellation that's audibly stealing some of the Hemi's beautiful rumble for the sake of luxury. That's just blasphemous!
Doh! Sorry, that's my fault. Apparently, I didn't have my caffeine while editing. I borrowed some video from Mcintosh and must have forgotten which vehicle I was editing or something. Thanks for the heads up, I'll add a note in the description.
Hi did you get a chance to compare it to bmw/Volvo Bowers Wilkins or, land rover meridian or mercedes bumerster? Also, do you listen to lossless files or mp3? Thanks
@@mortensenvick5711 I have not compared other high-end systems, although a youtube audio reviewer said that he ranked the Jeep system over the B & W system. I also haven't tried any files yet, sadly. Only Sirius & CDs through the auxiliary port. I'm looking forward to getting my files together for even better quality. So far, I grow more amazed by the McIntosh system each day.
@@trout211 very nice! I have a very good bang olufsen on my Q7, but wife insisted to get a BMW IX, and the only think I like about that car is the b&w literally, lol. I couldn't see the jeep in person, not for sale yet in my country. Very nice you can play an old school CD in the McIntosh, that lossless quality that makes night and day difference with high-end sound system :)
McIntosh is THE name in amplifiers-I own a McIntosh MP100 amp for my turntable and love it- but whose SPEAKERS are installed? I bought a new Chrysler 300 in 2019 and paid good money for their Harmon Kardon sysyem, only to be disappointed because the speakers were terrible-so bad, in fact, that I replaced them all. I am curious about the McIntosh system, though-I'll have to visit my local Jeep dealer and give it a listen.
Did you give it a listen? If you did, what were your thoughts? I’m picking up my Grand Wagoneer tomorrow! I’m going to be bumping music all day tomorrow haha
I don't know if you did this or not but if you adjust the brightness of the instrument cluster did the brightness of all the other interior lights and borders change as well?
Came across this channel specifically researching the McIntosh system.. I feel so stupid after watching that! Quite possibly the worst review of somthing I have ever seen!

🤣
I see the beginning of a new you tube channel....sweet. Rock on!
Now they need to put a similar audio system in the Ram
Yes!

Typically that’s how that works.

I will have to compare to my aftermarket audio system 😅
