The lock picking lawyer would have that open in thirty seconds. Of course not everyone is the lock picking lawyer either.
Actually he recommends it
Yeah lol it’s a kryptonite bike lock and is very good
He can open it but its difficult ans not a normal lock, he recommendeds it to people
he is a gimmick...he can only pick locks he knows the design of...design a new lock and he cant pick it
@@Gun_Molester Not true but ok.
LPL would like a chat with you.
My exact thoughts... lol
He uses the same lock LMFAO
He can open it, but he actually recommendeds kryptonite locks to people out of ALL the bike lock brands
@@frostedlambsGot one for my motorcycle. I mostly use the lock portion on my rear roater, rarely do I use the chain.
@@frostedlambshe recommends one very specific Kryptonite lock- not all of them. 99% of all Kryptonite locks are garbage broken with a metal pipe.
McNally would unlock it with a toothpick, but most people would at least need bolt cutters.
Lmao -- I was just about to say this
He'd smack it.
Break it open with the same lock
Hed unlock it using another bike lock lol
Just thought of @mcnally😂😂
Hip Lok D1000 is what I would lock my bike with. It will resist most angle grinder attacks.
Small though
I prefer the Litelok X3. It is a bit bigger and just as tough to cut. Same price as well.
Never use a cable to secure anything valuable. Accessories, yeah, okay. But your primary should be a hefty chain or U-lock with a decent lock mechanism. Decide whether you need more than one for where and how long you need to secure your bike. Most times, I use a hefty chain like the one he shows, in conjunction with one or two thick (10mm min) cables for the quick-release seatpost, seat and pedals (not a big deal in terms of money but a major inconvenience!). Sometimes I also use a u-lock for the rear wheel to frame.
Hiplok makes U-locks that are much more resistant to being cut by grinding wheels (the alloy used contains very hard particles that tear up even diamond-encrusted cutting wheels). They’re expensive but better for places rife with bike theft.
If your ebike is very heavy, you may be able to get away with compact brake rotor locks. Won’t keep 2-3 strong guys from just hefting the whole thing into a truck or van for them to remove it later though.
The Lock-Picking Lawyer is a good YT channel to see how easily each is picked or defeated (some are so poor, he doesn’t even need to pick them).
And a loud motion alarm may scare off casual thieves if there will be many people around. At least it’ll make them sweat a little more while they try to steal your bike. Some locks come with one, but it’s easy to find such alarms for under $20 and attach them to the frame.
I use a Harley licensed U lock Kryptonite like the one in the vid.
That I did, I normally use the U lock around my rotor.
Im not sure why folks think lesser of their property, should they use a bike as a form of transportation, you should secure like you give a spit, Bikes don't have locks built in door panels and latches like cars do, you've gotta invest in a proper lock much like ya gave a sht to buy the bike in the first place. Every thing takes a bit of effort, but the effort pays off; you get to keep your sht for next long while and then some. 😂
Yea i need to buy a better lock or two for my ebike asap. I have an elook folding lock and another cheap lock i use and the area is decent (ppl leave cheap bikes unlocked)
But i leave it for a while and get worried.
Thinking i may buy a heavy duty chain lock and a good u lock and use those 2 AND the elook one i already have.
Either that or just get a good chain one andnuse every one i have and maybe an alarm. It is in an area where i think that could potentially be useful.
Any recommendations would be useful. Hopefully buy them this friday just gotta figure out which. Dont wanna take any chances.
Although i do remove my battery, seat and front wheel just to make it even less tempting as well.
@@Kaetoh Hiplok’s u-lock is made of a material that chews up grinding wheels if that type of theft is common in your area. It takes 2-3 wheels and tens of minutes to cut through. However, the price is about $200 and the u-lock is fairly small.
If grinding wheel tool-assisted theft isn’t a concern, then the stronger Abus or Kryptonite chains and u-locks are fine. I use Kryptonite (both the yellow color-coded New York and the orange color-coded Evolution series) as bike theft isn’t common where I ride, certainly not with cordless cutting tools. Catalytic converter theft with those is, but bikes don’t have them!
What is common with those each of those brand’s better locks are more wafers in the key mechanisms and both sides of the shackles are captured by the lock body, requiring two rather than one cut to remove the lock, and hardened steel alloys in lock and shackle or chain.
Generally, for the same thickness, you can buy Kryptonite locks for less than Abus. One advantage of Abus locks is you can buy them so they use the same key, though you may have to wait for them if your store doesn’t have them in stock.
One other thing I do is replace quick release levers I don’t often use with bolted-on hardware. In addition, I use Hexlox inserts in the hex sockets of the bolts to make them difficult to undo. I did this with my wheels and seatpost clamps (except on my folding bike, on which I use that QR often) so I don’t need to carry cables to secure them..
for that price might as well get a Litelock X1
Most would come back to a missing bike before even buying the new lock. 😂
I bought a Walmart lock two with the pad lock and cable, and one that u bar , within a week one padlock one took a dump , both keys stop working and they where flimsy, i didn’t abuse it , so now it was stuck on my bike , so later that week, I’m unlocking the other one I thought, so now I have the key for the good lock attempting to open the bad lock by mistake, obviously the key didn’t fit , so I just had the tip in and it popped open , I was like wtf , and it did it like three times in a row , so disappointed , but I don’t leave my bike alone or it is brought inside.
I saw the links on this chain destroyed by a bolt cutter.
Explain the Lock wtf
Its a krytonite one pretty decent locks tbh
Kryptonite Chain w/ U lock.
Not cheap, as per video. Depending on where you shop the price can range greatly. Because mine was Harley licensed I paid a tad more than the one in the video (to tell you the truth I can't entirely recall how much I paid for it. Could've been $140 but something tells me I paid about $165-$170 for mine)
Anyway :
Weather proofed, anodized chain, heavy fabric coated chain to prevent hard scratches to surfaces, coated U lock for weather proofing and abrasive prevention.
I own and use one fore my motorcycle, I rarely use the chain portion because I keep my bike parked overnight, not for extension periods. I use the U-lock around the rear rotor.
See, the flaw that you just made was that you showed the keyhole
IF U DO OWN EBIKE PUT GPS TAG MAYBE 2 .THATS YOUR ONLG CHANCE GETTING IT BACK 48HOURS
Lock picking lawyer , would have it unlocked within a minute,bt would stop most random opportunist thief
If I were you, I would use two locks. That’s an awesome lock by the way, but even if you just put a cheap UL lock on it as well as the chain they’re gonna have to try to get through two locks.
How about the skunklock v2 or the altor saf?
Just as quick to pick as a dollor store lock but keeps the honest ppl honest
Maybe skunklok carbon for anti grinders
Why didnt you explain that krytponite locks come with insurance if your shit gets stolen using their locks they will cover some pretty good money
someone send this to that lock picking master dude
It’s not the toughest bike lock. Overpriced junk. Look up seatylock Viking bike lock
lol, that e bike cost $5000? You got ripped.
Up against a disc cutter it would last about 10 secs.
It's best to get yourself a Hiplok D1000.
take your EUC next time and trolley it inside. problem solved😁
Been watching the lockpicking lawyer i gather ? the weight of mine is crazy thou :P
Real talk. I say unless you locking your bike a certain way or place, you can simply get away with securing it with just the U-lock portion.
50 bucks says I can open it with a fork
$130 on Amazon. Just saying.
In Real life his bike would have got stolen at REI. There bike theive that sit at racks all day . With battery power saw disc 10 seconds they got your bike. And they sell em for 500 real quick. Its a real shit show
Kryptonite new York m18 is best
Hiplok D1000 or Litelok X1 or X3 are much better locks than the Kryptonite. Granted the D1000 and the X3 are about twice the price at $300 each, but the X1 is only $25 or so more than the Kryptonite, $150, and is a more secure lock.
Lock is ok but the chain is rubbish 😞
why is the chain bad? You would need some pretty serious equipment to cut a chain like that. Cant just use an angle grinder.
yes ytou cut that with a grinder my dude lol ez pz @@dumbcrumb879
If you are gonna shit on the chain at least provide an alternative

20 seconds with a lishi and that lock and bike is gone.
A few hours in a shop!! What kind of man are you 😂
The kind that shops...
Lmaooo there is no need, a lock is only a deterrent, if they want it the will get it
'Lmaooo' So what are you suggesting? Just leave it unlocked, and hope someone doesn't "want it" ?
I don’t know why I thought you were being sarcastic and you were going to break into it like a locksmith and show us all that it’s not really as tough as they say.
Do research on how fast the chain can get cut through, then make the video. When you’ve checked, you’ll understand.
Or no one wants to steal ur damn bike 💀
Rei has terrible prices.
Does not work 💯
